Found by Mary and David at 14:55. Definitely not a wattle. Log is full, so we wrote along the edge of the log. There may have been some cache creep - hint no longer applies. Our thanks to wheres_wolly_sharon.

My 3rd day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. Today I left from Iron Knob and arrived at Kyancutta home for the next 3 nights. This cache would be find number 10 of 49 for the day and find Number 52 in total for this trip away.

I looked and looked and looked and was about to give up when I spotted it. That shouldn't have been as hard as I made it.

Brad and Janet are on another epic journey.
This time it involves many of Len Beadell’s 6500km of roads including the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sur, the Heather, the Neale, the Gun Barrel Highway and more.
And of course a 2 day visit to Maralinga which Len also located, surveyed and largely built as he had with Woomera and Emu. An amazing man.
If you don’t know of him he wrote some wonderful books. Laconic with a dry sense of wit, they are an excellent read. They are also available as audiobooks as is a recording of his brilliant after dinner talk one evening in Shepparton. Worth a listen.

Out with the froghoppin couple and with Purrfect Di and Jack to clean some of the colourful little marks from the geomap. Today took us west a bit further, down the highway, and up to a lake and then down some roads that had turned into lakes... a surprising sight indeed that changed our itinerary just a little!

Dunno if it is, but it's yellow like one!

So wheres wolly we thank you for placing and maintaining the cache on our ever growing SA geo-map Cool

Driving around wherever we can - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!

*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Danger! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Much appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

This was the last cache for the day as Muggle Husband was sick and tired of pulling off the road on the busy highway. He is very patient, but it was windy and there were a lot of trucks and wide loads. Bah. I used the hint to find this cache, as it would have taken me much longer without a pointer.

We are travelling homeward bound to Busselton from the Townsville Mega,
how lost can we get?
It’s been just over 4 months since the CacheQld mega and we have only just crossed the SA Border a couple of days ago, that’s still a long way to go to get home to WA
But the fun bit is, finding all these geocaches along the way.
No matter where we park our caravan for the night, it’s always an exciting day to see this great country through the eyes of the local geocachers.
Thanks to all the COs for showing us your favourite spots along the way.

13-May-22
Found while visiting Whyalla for a few days with Team Waldron and TeamAstro, with the aim of finding as many caches as possible in Whyalla and surrounds. Day 1 saw us travel up from Adelaide and tour the very scenic coastline around Port Bonython and Point Lowly. On Day 2 we headed out to the Fill In The Gaps" (FITG) series, then to Iron Knob and back via the First To Find Power Trail (FTF PT) series. On Day 3 we cached in and around the City of Whyalla, and on Day 4 we made our way out to Whyalla Conservation Park before heading for home. The plants in question are the broad-leaved form of Senna artemisioides, silver senna or wormwood cassia, a native species widespread throughout inland Australia, with the cache inspiring an ensuing lengthy conversation about botany and the intricacies of plant taxonomy Smile. Thanks for the cache wheres wolly!

Wudinna bakery is a good aim spot from here. Lovely “Senna” near the sign. I’ll let FeatherWaite elaborate! To be honest I thought it was a Casia sp but that’s another story…

A fun find with Team Waldron and FeatherWaite on a trip from Adelaide to Whyalla and “around”.

Thanks wheres wolly and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

*FTF* @ 0830

The last day of the Perth to Adelaide road trip, Wudinna to Adelaide. I have to return the campervan by 3pm, so not much time for caching today. It’s raining too, great to see on the Eyre Peninsula and mid north, they look like they need it.

Target cache of the day! Noticed that this cache was unfound whilst browsing last night, and it’s perfectly positioned on my planned course for the day.

There was no log in the cache, checked with the CO that I hadn’t found a decoy, and got the necessary confirmation. Added a log of sorts, but it’s a bit B grade, maybe somebody could add a better one if WW doesn’t get there first.

Thanks wheres wolly for a great ending to this road trip.
