The situation here has been reviewed again.Sufficient time has elapsed since the issues were highlighted, and nothing has been done to restore it. Circumstances that prevent timely maintenance can arise, and ample opportunity for the Cache Owner to get in touch to request a time extension has been provided. No request has been received from the Cache Owner, Cnsmith100, for further time to restore the cache. On this basis, it appears to have been abandoned by the Owner and, therefore, will be Archived.Caches lost in this manner will not be Unarchived. This area is now available for other interested players to utilise for cache placement if viable locations can be found. ### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute that is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by Cnsmith100 and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayang -GeoffCommunity Reviewer
Searched for ages but couldn't find. A lot of muggle traffic didn't help our search.
had a good look but im think this ones missing, lots of loose rocks already removed aswell.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Last night we had the ferry to Tasmania from Geelong. Picked up our rental near the ferry and drove to Launceton where we will be staying for one night. We arrived very early. Luckily our room was already available. After settling in we went to explore Launceton and the surrounding area. We had a nice walk in and around the Cataract Gorge. We also visited this cache. Despite the explicite hint we were not able to find it.
Spotted a likely hiding spot. Sat down and waited for the muggles to pass before extracting the container, quickly signing and replacing before the next wave of muggles came through. TFTC
Managed to find it but didn't realise a muggle was watching and who was interested to learn of the game.Logbook is getting full I think.TFTC
Day 9 in Australia in Tasmania. We are aiming for all the cool caches nearby as well as many different types. We have found the cachers around here super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the smile
[9033] Holidays on Tasmania, day 11. Today we stayed in Launceston. We hiked the Cataract Gorge up to the old power station in the morning and explored Lanceston and the City Park in the afternoon. It became another great day with perfect weather for a day out. This geocache was part of our tour today, thanks for placing it! TFTC!
#2738 This is my day 258, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia, and Tasmania road trip is our main highlight. Today, we visited Cataract Gorge and found some caches.Thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan @ February 17, 2024 12:10:55
Have been putting off cleaning up the caches in the Gorge area for too long. Such a hot day probably wasn't the ideal day to tackle them but we were determined to finally get some smileys here.A worker was clipping branches at GZ so we had to sit and wait until he moved on. We had already noticed the possible hiding place. Thanks for the cache Cnsmith100.
While visiting Cataract Gorge, I collected the nearby caches. The openness of this cache, and the many muggles, made searching for this cache difficult. But I waited and eventually got a chance to search muggle free.I needed the hint to find this, and even then was unsure about fooling with the path wall. However the tube cache was eventually found.
Nearly walked right past this one, Aramil pointed out that we missed it so we backtracked 50m. Very quick find. TFTC
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.We chose to come an explore this fantastic gorge today with chrisant2017 and family. Loved hanging out around this bridge as there was a cool breeze, which was welcome on a warm day. An easy enough find here at GZ, just had to pick the time in between muggles. Thanks Cnsmith100 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
TFTC! As we continue our adventure around Tazzie for our pancake honeymoon, we stopped Launceston. A beautiful city with lots of memories for pancake2. Spending the afternoon at Cataract Gorge and enjoying the memories Pancake2 made here over 10yrs ago. This cache had us hunting for a while but after reading the clue was quickly found by pancake1.

21264During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we arrived Tasmania and picked up some caches. This one was a quick and easy found. TFTC
Mrs Shifter found this one quickly on the way back to the main area after visiting the Sentinel Lookout. Thanks for the cache Cnsmith100
This one was so fun to find!!!! Thank you!!! Perfect for kids and new casche finders. Awesome spot to hide it and awesome place in general
Could use some extra cover but I ran out of time before heaps of people started coming past. I left it as I found it.
It was a lovely, fun filled week with good friends as we explored Tassie and its many delightful treasures. Definitely a holiday, but a holiday with that type of friend that steps up when needed, so they were very supportive of my need to detour or disappear occasionally for a cache. 'Are you loitering again?' as they called it... my loitering at trees, bushes, walls, signs, bridges, statues... well, you know! This was a nice quick find as we walked the loop. Nice to sit and log in the shade and great to visit the area.
Located with Ricardinho This was a busy part of the track with muggles around. Had to time the extraction & signing the log to avoid discovery. Day 12 of our Tassie/Sydney trip, and today is Launceston & exploring the Cataract Gorge.Weather wasn't really playing ball in the morning but we didn't let it stop us & up side was a few less people at the Gorge The scenery is beautiful here even on an overcast rainy day & the sun did occasionally sneak out too After lunch we explored city park & I enjoyed the monkeys And last outing of the day was a quiet walk around city streets admiring all the beautifully maintained old homes while RNZ sorted the church caches he'd solved the day before. Another awesome day in Tassie TFTC
A quick find here. Just needed to wait out some muggles, as you often will need to do. TFTC Cnsmith100.Day 12 of our Tassie trip, and today is Launceston. We didnt have the best of weather this morning, but this is our only full day in the town and we have to make the most of it, so we were off to Cataract Gorge for starters. We sifted around there enjoying the scenery and wildlife, scraping together enough info for some earthcaches and visiting an oldie just up the track a bit.The afternoon fined up a bit, so we explored some inner city parks before going for an afternoon walk to nut out church micros and look at old houses, something close to RG72s heart.Another great day, loving exploring this state.
This was tricky but found the right hint item after a bit of searching. Had to stop searcjing as muggles passed by. TFTC
What a lovely experience with Nesta and Ben Dwight seeing the Cataract Gauge. Thanks for placing the cache here. Nice to add a smilie here. TFTC.
