Logs
The 15th of September is a significant day for Jinky and John. How better to celebrate, than getting a few caches in today. We headed west with a bit of a swing north, then back to home GZ. This one has been on the list for a while. The foliage has shot up a biut, which made things a little easier. Left a Geonickel. Many thanks to the CO for your work on the cache.
Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Twelve: Geelong and Queenscliff(e).Weather: perfect for geocaching. One last cache for the day to give me 20 finds in Greater Geelong and one step closer to a challenge I am working on. A minor detour off the freeway, an easy find in the dark, and no dogs were woken up. Nice sturdy good sized cache too. Thanks for this hide Bushfire and Colbases.
Quick search for this one soon had the log signed with geo toddler in toe. Thank you for placing this cache, i have driven past so many times but never had time to stop until now.
What a gloomy Saturday morning it was while we waited for the rain to settle before the Geoson and myself set out to find some caches. This was our tenth find for the day. We parked the car nearby for a quick find and sign. Thanks for placing for us to find
Have not found many caches in Ceres for quite awhile.Today the weather was good so a nice loop of the park here. This was the first and a good size it was.Signed and walked on.TFTC
Great hide for Grandkids Sam Tobias Peter. Took sticker and placed a green ooshi. TYFG . RC Goldies.
Lovely afternoon to take bub out in the pram and have a walk at the reserve - nice pram friendly cache
Out for a day trip with JTreeTrack2 and this was our next stop...for all three. First cache found ok and then took the walk around the area for the next two. No issues, all caches found and logs signed. Thanks Colbases...a great looking park that was certainly being used today...
A lovely cloudy day to head out for some caching. I had arranged with Sol de lune before we were going to the Canberra Mega, that this week would be a good week to head out together and get some caches. So we headed out in the Geo Tucson, with some Easter eggs as snacks to try and get some caches between Ballarat and Geelong. A great site to pick up three caches. This was the first and was quickly found and logged, yet I left unquenched. Thanks for placing this cache Bushfire and taking ownership Colbases
A nice time to stop for lunch, though the large entire shelter was pre occupied with what looks like a big mob of friends who dont believe in any exercise and were settled in for the day!At least we had grabbed the only parking available in the shade, before getting the fast quick and easy bushfire cache here.Mr Riddell reckons it must have been a-lot harder in his earlier days as this was a breeze!Anyway we enjoyed our lunch in the shady coolness of the car while the big group languished around in their comfy armchairs, while we contemplated our next caches. At least we are enjoying our exercise.
This seems strange to be logging a cache that I have visited so many times since placing on the 16th October 2021 because of an Event that was held nearby.I called past on the 16th October an signed the new log as it is a new cache using my notes.I must say thanks to Colbases for adopting these caches and looking after them so a F.P. because I can now. This cache along with over a hundred others have been adopted out to other folk who are happy to look after these guys as the ageing Bushfire has developed a health problem that will only get worse so big thanks to all these great friends.
Down for Geelong on the weekend and thought we would attempt a couple of caches. Battling through the rain but this was a nice quick find for us. TFTC
A quick stop and grab here, lots of muggles in the parking lotthank you for the cachePika 28/10/23
Went for a stroll around Ceres this afternoon while the eldest geokid was conducting a traffic survey in the area. Tackled the multi, struggled with the truth of the lamp posts, and ultimately didn't have enough time to properly look for it.So I settled for this one as a quick consolation prize. An uncharacteristically straightforward Bushfire hide!
On my last 3 weeks of my visit from the US to see family (halfmugglemum). Getting some geocaches done while I can.Nice find.
I’d tried for this one before but abandoned the search because of muggle presence. This time there was no one else around so I parked the car next to the GZ, and circled around the area a couple of times until I found the cache. Swapped a kangaroo traceable for a unicorn one, signed the log and returned as found. TFTC!

A quick find on a cool day and chilly afternoon.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

On my way home from the 6.5km Kayaking at VPESG today, I stopped off in Ceres. Ceres, Fife, Scotland has a very special place in my heart - twice, since moving to Victoria in 2007, I've been offered a job/house there & been very close to packing up & going home........
This was my 3rd here. The slasher operator must've been on his lunchbreak cause he was still here but I sneaked around the back & made a quick find. Loved the container

Nice to finally complete this trifecta of caches at this reserve after it being recently replaced. Thanks Colbases.
On the way home from a day of 'patient transport', I took a diversion over here for a look given that it had been recently replaced. Once at GZ, it took a few moments in the increasing gloom before I finally spotted the stash at 20:05. And whaddaya know, I even got an FTF(itNLB).
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Colbases.

Cache container & new log replaced. Container larger than the original & less likely to be mistaken as trash. Happy hunting!
This hide appears to have been removed as I can no longer find it. Others have similarly tried with no luck. I will have to replace.
Not having to pick my son up from Avalon Airport till later this afternoon I dragged sassieold55
along for the day to do some caches beforehand. I nearly dismissed this hide, but I thought I would check and it paid off. TFTC Bushfire.

We came to Frank Mann Reserve chasing a puzzle cache. Calculated coordinated brought us to the Reserve, and it seemed like a safe spot for a cache. However, those calculations may not have been right after all. This one was exactly where it was supposed to have been
Thanks heaps, Bushfire!
Thanks heaps, Bushfire!
Arrived on site and no one here which l thought beauty, parked and went to GZ but after sometime l couldnt find it. l genuinely think that l have lost my caching-sence now lol
After a massive hike yesterday, we decided to take the geodogs for a drive in the countryside. It also gave Mr Dromaniax's legs a bit of time to recover.
We had been here for Mr Sims-family's 50th birthday but forgot to look for the caches that day.
We like this area; it is one of the lesser-known gems in the Geelong area.
It didn't take us a great deal of time to find the cache.
The cache is in great condition. Thank you for this cache, Bushfire and Colbases for adopting and maintaining it.

A craft weekend away in Anglesea this weekend saw me leave home early to snaffle a cache (or 20) en route! I missed this one and resorted to a PAF. Always so obvious after the fact! Many thanks for the cache.
Last cache of the day and after parking in the prime spot I had a quick squiz and there it was a bit of old Bushfire's handiwork.
Thanks colbases for maintaining some of these great hides. Much appreciated.

Nice reserve. Found after disregarding the container and then thinking I had better take a closer look. TFTC
Quick find! Took a bit of teamwork to retrieve but was in our hands quickly. TFTC!
Out and about grabbing a couple of caches to blow the cobwebs out. Having not cached much during the pandemic I have some options in the local area again, which is nice. TFTC.
Found by Mary and David at 17:45. At the thought of potentially missing a "soon to be archived" cache, we are here with GeoJo. The neighbours in the white house know about it and gave a hint. D had seen it but dismissed it as the camo was so good. A FP for it. Our thanks to Bushfire.
Got spotted by some friendly occupants of the house nearby who told us to look for an item that we had previously discounted. Retrieving it for a closer look resulted in locating the cache! Thanks for bringing us here!
