Came here a couple of years ago when the site was being refurbished. The finished memorial looks fabulous and tastefully pays tribute to the unfortunate miners who lost their lives. TFTC A FP from me.

I was traveling towards Emerald and decided to detour to find a few caches. I found the access road and was soon parking the geomobile near GZ. Before searching for the cache, I took time to look around the memorial and take a few photos. Such a lovely memorial, but so sad. Then I set about my search for the cache. It was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
There have been so many mining disasters all over the world. Lovely tribute and a very special poem. Tftc
