Biloela - Banana - MouraCamping overnight at Rotary ParkIt's so nice to be caching in the country side. Some lovely scenery in the area. After leaving the caravan behind we toured the highlites of the area. This showed us another good view of the mining processFP givenThanks Pippahiccup for hiding this cache.
I love squeezing every last second out of public holidays which usually combine with RDO's at work. So, with a 4 day long weekend in the offing, a few weeks ago I reviewed my adventure wish list and decided that a solo hike of Carnarvon Gorge and specifically Battleship Spur would fit the bill.Viko Cz subsequently messaged me to say he was back in Australia for business for a few weeks and had some weekends free for a geocaching adventure, and was also keen to visit Carnarvon. On Anzac Day, we travelled from Roma to Carnarvon and hiked out to Big Bend, visiting as many of the side attractions as we had time for including Boolimba Bluff. Yesterday, we climbed Battleship Spur in the morning and then spent a lazy afternoon enjoying the gorge at Big Bend. We got an early start this morning and refreshed with a good nights sleep, some breakfast and lighter packs, we made very good time back down the gorge stopping at the Moss Garden along the way. After visiting Mickey's creek Gorge, we finally hit the road, stopping at the Rolleston pub for lunch. We are aiming for a night at the Cracow pub, so that leaves the opportunity for a few caches around Moura and Theodore including this one. We pulled up across the road from GZ. The noise coming from these "parallel lines" was louder than expected - and there didn't look to be any coal on the conveyors either! Viko Cz made the quick find here. On we go to Theodore. TFTC PippahiccupPete#7,874
#5727 [16:33] our extended weekend with crookedpete is ending, the main mission "exploring carnarvon gorge" is over and now we're heading back to brisbane via a bit of side road to enjoy more of local country side and more caches and this was one of them. thanks a lot of placing it here, it's always good to have some reason to stretch legs during long drive.
Found this geocache while enjoying a rest stop. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache was in great condition. Signed the logbook. Thanks to the cache owner for the hide! Happy geocaching!
Travelling home from QOGM. Stopped off for this one. Thanks. Good location fav point alloc
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Pippa Hic Cup [^]
On a slow, meandering trip out to Longreach for the QOGM 2023 event.

I was heading towards Emerald, but was too tired to continue driving so spent the night at Moura. This morning, I decided to find a few caches before continuing on my way. I had to go the long way round to get to this cache. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

We are on the way North to escape the winter chill.
I love to see activities and the big trucks and machinery.
And there was a lot to see! And the conveyor belt very noisy!

Felt like we were the only ones without big fluro vehicle stickers. A quick grab while some mining muggles fiddled about with the closest parallel line. TFTC Pippahiccup.
