We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Ingenia White Albatross Holiday Park in Nambucca Heads, the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast, the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba, and the Big4 Leisure Tourist Park in Port Macquarie. Planning to collect some caches around our accommodation stays, and also stop-off for some targeted caches along the M1 Pacific Motorway route. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today we drove from Biggera Waters on the Queensland Gold Coast to Yamba in northern NSW, spending most of the day collecting caches and Adventure Labs accessed from along the Gold Coast Highway, with a final stop-off at Burleigh Head National Park for Queensland's second oldest geocache (we did the oldest on our last trip in March). Then headed southward along the M1 Pacific Motorway, stopping for a break at Ballina for a cache at the Big Prawn and a visit to the Summerland Antique Centre, before continuing on to Yamba for the night. This was the 5th of 15 finds for the day (day 4), and 36th find of the holiday. This one was next on our drive down the Gold Coast Highway. Parked close to the cache location, and made a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's some nicely crafted metalwork at GZ. TFTC Aussie Liahona.Find #7194
Back in Qld for a quick visit. Grabbing a few caches on an early morning walk. This one was found quickly. Cache in good condition
I am down under for the very first time. Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as , and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country! Today I spent a day in the Gold Coast. I really like this area and I discovered beautiful places. On this hot day I walked and cycled a lot. I also looked for many geocaches like this one. At GZ I found the cache easily. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world
Found it, thank you. Plenty of peacocks around! Visiting from ACT, and this is my first find away from home.
My search for this was marred by the one and only car sitting in the carpark in dusk had someone sitting in it - I looked too obvious tapping around the fence so moved on!!
What a lovely Monday morning. Rainbow and birdlife and reading ALL of the previous logs to find this wonderful hide. It's absolutely a 'when you know, you know' type of cache and I love the aha moment.l I felt, almost did a rain dance. Took me a hot minute and I even sat by it at one stage to ponder. Love this. Tftc
These ones always get me. My second of this kind today and every time I feel like face palming even when I find it easily tftc
On my business trip in Brisbane. Saturday was my last day before continuing to Emirates. I decided to visit Gold Coast for swimming, sunbathing and of course Geocaching. Parked car at Seaway peninsula and enjoyed walking around caches. TFTC.Greetings from Czechia .
Todays caching adventure started with a tram ride from Broadbeach to Main beach. Then it was a walk along the beach to the southern end of the spit. Down along the main drag and across the bridge to Macintosh Island Park. What a pretty park. Didnt see any real peacocks, my sister in law said they used to roam around this area. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC. A quick find.
In town for a couple of days at a conference. A quick find today while out for a morning walk. TFTC
My favourite type of geocache, a satisfying ahah moment without being impossibly difficult in a public place. Took a couple of minutes but knew as soon as I had my hand on it.
Quickly found the thing that was out of place on a weekend away from Brisbane. Lots of peacocks out today. TFTC
A quick find for the cachers eye! Lovely park we stopped at for some fish and chips, great seeing all the peacocks. TFTC
Tftc. I bet I've found at least hundred of this kind of camos during the years I've cached. Maybe the popularity of this camo type can be explained by how good camo this actually is; it doesn't draw attention of a non-cacher, but cacher spots it very easily. One peacock was following my movements.
A quick find, but only if you know what you're looking for! Also loved the bird sanctuary - this is a great location, even if you're not looking for anything in particular. TFTC
i grew up just down the road from the old Natureland Zoo. They had a family of peacocks freely roaming the park, so I am quite familiar with these beautiful creatures. We'd stopped off here for a quick lunch today while we ran errands this end of the Coast. A quick check of Cachly revealed there was still one cache in the park we hadn't found - this one.
I am pleased to say the cache was found easily and quickly. But that fence! Apart from previously dropping in for a quick lunch now and then. This was our first contract with this magnificent piece of iron work. We usually park further south. The fence certainly suits the location and I am pleased you placed a cache here to highlight it.
Thanks for the cache. All in good.

As Suzy's log states we stopped here for lunch today and had been watching some of the peacocks walking along the little beach on the eastern site of the park. I wonder if they like to swim or wade in the water, and if so, what happens to their tail feathers.
After we packed up our lunch supplies we went for a walk and saw some near the groundskeeper shed. After we found the cache they decided to come closer to the carpark and we could see all those beautiful colours in the sunlight. How lovely.

We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Gold Coast and along the coast. I was out on the scooter today and loved the freedom to grab so many caches, without the worry of traffic and parking. This was one of the finds I made.
Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once at GZ. A lovely park to explore.
Thanks Aussie Liahona for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Has been a while since I've ventured to this lovely parkland with all the birdlife. Great area for a stroll, and the good hint provided, enabled for a quick find here today.
Thank you, Aussie Liahona, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment

Funny! Found another one like this yesterday and it had taken us a while to get it. Quick this time around. Tftc. Andrea and Jason on holiday.
Enjoying the walk through a part of this area that I've never been to before - tftc!
Last fund for a early evening cache journey! Thankfully a hide I’m familiar with! TFTC

A quick find after having a peep at the hint. Just had to be a bit stealthy and wait out a few dog walking muggles before signing the log. Thank you Aussie Liahona for placing and maintaining Peacocks for us to find today.

Easily spotted if you know what to look for. Thanks for placing and bringing us to this awesome wee spot that we would not have otherwise seen
Down this way for work today and of course, it’s Blue Switch so of course a cache must be located. Headed here to try my luck. No one around this morning and I quickly spotted what I was after. This is a great hide, I love these ones! Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona
Great little park here. Made the find pretty fast with Camm1e after waiting for some other people to move on. Great cache and a fav point from me tftc
Headed down the Gold Coast for a lovely break over Easter. We are staying nearby and can see this park from our balcony. The Geowife decided to have an afternoon nap before heading out for dinner and this signalled an opportunity to head out and snag a few nearby caches. This was the second of the afternoon, after visiting a nearby by giant being careful not to wake him.
Approaching the cache, it didn’t tKe long to know I was in the right spot given the title and the hide was quiet straight forward.
Signed and replaced where it was found.
Big thanks to the Cache owner for making this cache available .

Today I joined up with go-friends RoddyC, Hatzofff and Patrol14 to attend a couple of Events down the Gold Coast and also find a few caches that we haven't yet found. We arrived at GZ and a quick search and the cache was revealed thanks to a great hint.

Caching and trying to keep cool on this very hot day with RoddyC Imbunda and Patrol14.
Dived in to this beautiful artwork. Nice to see the development as I think last time we were here it was a construction site. Replaces log sheet.

Have been to the Gold Coast many many times for work, but never actually ventured out and didn't even know this sort of place existed - so beautiful!

We saw some real live peacocks on the way to GZ, which was nice . Took a couple of minutes before Mr Herbz spotted this clever little hide. Everything nice and dry inside. TFTC Aussie Liahona
