Thanks for placing & maintaining Moneybox! Crokoniko & I had a nice walk to see the Gregory Tree / Ngalibinggag
Found it on the roadtrip with brezelitos on our way to Darwin. Quick stop here to see the Gregory Boab Tree and, of course, the cache.TFTC
Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to Moneybox for hiding. The cache box is now an ant nestBest regards, searchersab

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 126 - Kununurra to Timber Creek. It was time to move on again, and on a hot sunny morning I packed up and refueled before getting on my way back east. A stop a th border, then a couple more stops on the outskirts of Timber creek, one near a army base I was not aware of. The afternoon was hot so the pool was used and then I cooked a light dinner and tried to get some sleep. After bumping down a road a little more corrugated than I would have liked, I went for the short walk on to the cache. The ground cover was a but more grabby than I expected, but the cache was found and I signed the log. Thanks for the cache Moneybox48970.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Community Volunteers Tag A#398**Albida**
A nice quick find on the way to the real Gregory Tree. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO We have found a cache at the Gregory tree many year's ago.
TFTC,Our second time here, great to see our history, 1856 wow that's almost 170 years ago, even if what would now be described as vandalism.Visited trackables.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT the over the top of WA.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield Nat Park and Wyndham.TFTC.Took a long time to find including climbing the tree twice. The hardened ant dust had totally buried the cache. Was great to have Sensible Sis find us in the tree and help with the search. Aquitus1 kept digging and eventually found it. Awesome.
I do love Boabs and it was great to get down to see this one. A few DNFs, but not to be put off, we kept searching. Sensible sis walking past asks if we were geocaxhing, a good assumption given one was up a tree and the other digging under it, the normal antics of a geocacher! Nothing to see here!!! A better dig in a ground level hollow had the lovely sound of stick meets plastic, buried deep by the and dust of the hollowed tree. Replaced at base of tree under rock, just by the hollow.
Had a good look around the tree closest to gz. Found a rock with lots of ants under it but no container. The area around the tree has been burnt recently. Being a Gregory, the Gregory Tree was of great interest.
I probably could have found this if I'd been willing to risk possible death! I found the tree but I'm sorry, I'm not willing to risk snake bite in such a remote area for a cache. So many places it could have been hidden that don't involve a trek through long grass. Not a good spot. Disappointed. Didn't realise geocaching was meant to be such an extreme sport.
Nice hide, easy find. Didn't sign because many ants and I wanted to get out of there asap because there might be snakes. TFTC
Nice easy find here after visiting the historic tree, returning to the car, realising I'd forgotten to find the cache, returning to the historic tree... then realising I'd passed gz 3 times now... haha.
On the road again, we leave W.A behind & now enter N.T
Our 1st stop being Timber Creek, the caches found here were at historic & scenic locations.
We took the detour into here to look at the Gregory Tree. An amazing sight the date engraved into this boab is so clear.
This was about a 200m walk from the car parking area.
FP given
Thanks to the CO for placing this cache

Travelling with richlink, north from Perth to Darwin and then south again, finding a cache or two along the way. Where necessary, degraded caches have been repaired or changed, and new log sheets were added.
This is definitely a must see location, thanks Moneybox.

After spending a few days in Kununurra we hit the road again with iluvtrekking as we headed to Darwin with one overnight stop enroute. We were stunned by the amazing vistas we saw along the way - truly breathtaking. Wow, so much history here. We replaced the missing container - now at a much lower elevation. Thanks Moneybox
I think the cashe may have fallen down the long hollow branch as we couldn’t see it
If the hollow branch is the one about 6 feet high around the back of the tree when approaching from the path, then the cache has gone so far down that we couldn't see it.
Picked up this cache on Day 59 of our big lap around Australia. Thankyou Money for placing and maintaining this cache
First stop of the day on me way east required a little detour down a very corrugated track
So I'm not surprised that the bus driver had left his chariot at the start and was enjoying a stroll to the tree.
The touristas must have been off on a river cruise for the day I guess
So all was quiet on me stroll to the riverside where I saw Greg's tree again
it's still showsn' the graffiti as clear as if it was carved yesterday.
Graffiti artistes back then took a lot more pride in their work [^]
Not far away I found the cache's hiding place.
Hmmm. It's not there !! [:o]
Oh !! It's in the *other* hiding place

Hi Moneybox, I hope you are both well, I was just going through some old caching lists and could see this coming up unfound, I'm not sure why as I definitely 'found it', I also can't believe there are no fav points on it, what a great piece of Australia right here. Sorry for the late log Cheers The Thompsons.
Called in here to visit Gregory's Tree - and find a cache as well. The container was an easy find and the log was signed after one muggle had passed by and before the next lot arrived. Thanks go to Moneybox for placing this cache near an interesting part of Australia's history.
Shared the find here with goingplaces2 and soon had the log signed. Went on to have a look at the tree as well. TFTC.
Day 20 of the long road trip from Perth to the Townsville Mega via the southern states and then back to Perth again via the northern part of Australia.
Today was basically Katherine to Kununurra with a big stopover at Timber Creek due to a fatal hit and run that had the highway blocked for more than 10 hours until some enterprising drivers found a way around the Police road blocks for everything other than the trucks.
This cache was an epic fail the first time at ground zero as it could just not be seen at either of the two objects matching the hint.
With the road west still blocked came back for another go and found that the cache had moved down the branch and was only just visible with a torch. Spent the next 2 hours trying various methods of extraction with multiple returns to the the vehicle for other bits of stuff until it was finally recovered. Placed some other branches in the hole to try and stop it moving down again so hopefully the next cacher will have no trouble. Blank log signed and the cache returned as it was found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for cachers to find. *FTF*
