I think two days later I understand the clue as B.. of e. Everything QLD seems to want to bite you, sting you or eat you.JBAs
TFTC! Its still in good nick with some little trinkets inside. Logbook is nearly full
Heading south and out first stop is Townsville. Went for a quick walk from my motel and collected a few close caches. Most were simple grabs.Last one along this stretch (though I went back for the bridge). Quick find here - these look like a good solid container.TFTC GeocachingTownsville
Found after getting swooped by mag poes on the way here. A bit of a fight with the thorns but the smiley is mineTFTC
The coords were a bit out for me today but it was in the obvious spot luckily. Bee eater central around here!!. TFTC
Being new to AUS and snakes…decided to see if I could find one. Found the cache instead
Last find of my loop walk. Off to the side and the coordinates were a bit off so headed to the likely host. All good and replaced as found after signing
For my work PT today I did the Geocaching loop from Bowen Road to Aplins weir starting along the North of the river and returning along the South. A nice round number of finds and ignored the tree-climb/monkey ones, not my thing, though did find one of them as it was reachable from the floor. Thanks to GeocachingTownsville for the majority of the finds which were generally in good condition.

On our day out caching on the Ville we headed to GZ. After a quick search of the location found the cache. Our coordinates seem to be a little bit out. So had to use our Geo senses TFTC
I decided to go far afield for this one. Yes, i know I’ve found one today, but this is a traditional, so I can keep that little run going too. Might be able to use it to trip emilywanders up on a challenge or sumptin. In any case found it right where today’s other finder said it would be. Snug as. That’s todays and I’ll head of to do tomorrows for the giggles. Cheers CO of this cache. I can see why he moved it, there isn’t much over where the Cachly was pointing me but if we get a decent flow this one will end up swimming with geokids.
Quick walk out followed the path to BOT and found the cache in the open. Placed beside tree and covered. TFTC
Found easily. Was admiring the mango and mulberry trees near by hoping for some fruit.

Today we said goodbye to our Townsville geocaching Uber support Bill and Di Morgan, who have been kind enough to drive us around Townsville during the MEga and beyond. They are heading slowly south, while we wait to get the car fixed at Toyota. Today was out on the bike as our now only mode of transport and we decided that Annadale series of caches and those sprinkled around that area would be a good start, as long as the weather held out. A few passing showers but nothing to get us too wet.
Thanks CacheQLD for the caches.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 14. Townsville post Mega section Day 2. For my last day in Townsville, I joined TikvaNZ for another section of the Ross River power trail, with a bit of on and off again rain and a closed section we did pretty well. After that I set myself a list of puzzles and other non -trad caches to find for the day, which all took a lot longer than I expected, not to mention the ongoing rain all day. It has been a wonderful time in Townsville, and I have many more caches to get, so hopefully I will get to pass through again later in the year.
Thanks for the cache CacheQLD

Day 14 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. This morning Albida33 and I did some more of the Ross River Power Trail by bike/scooter. Apart from having to skip 4 due to being fenced off, all caches we attempted were soon found. TFTC.

This trail is excellent and one of the best we have ever been on - wonder how much has been spent on it over the years - well worth it though.
Cache was found in a standard location.
Thanks CacheQLD.

Found with BecknMonts while out using our electric scooters. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon when we found most of the cachers that we went for.
Staying next to the Ross River Parkway meant we've enjoyed riding it a lot. And this year there's a heap of new caches to be found... even better! Found with Bill of the DiMorgan team. This fantastic cycleway is the haunt of many a geocacher during the Mega. [^] TFTC CacheQLD.
A lovely cool and overcast Easter Sunday, perfect for doing some more of this fantastic walking trail along the river.
out with Camo75

With a goal of collecting 150 caches in a day, our plan was to tackle both geoarts, hit the RRPT and collect some other caches in between. An early start was in order to achieve this goal before getting ready for the Trivia night at the MEGA.
A huge thank you to all the COs for preparing and placing the caches we collected today, the variety of hide locations, types and containers was fantastic.

The day had come; the plan to get 150 caches (excluding labs) in a day for another challenge was here. The planning and prep started two months ago when I was at the Wangaratta mega. With the recent zoom events for puzzle solving a big help and the Geoarts of the saint and the book catering for two thirds of the task, it was just a matter of finding 50 more caches so as I was able to complete. Today I had Willis007 with me; we picked on a few quick easy finds as we were passing and motoring between arts. We then grabbed the bikes and went for a ride around along the Ross river parkway or is that power trail.
The Geoarts were found easy and thank you. The book art did slow us down a little with some hides a little tuff to find. the power trail was fun some good caches and some that also slowed us down. However, by the end of the day we were done and the challenge completed.
Thanks to my caching buddies, the CO’s for the caches and the great areas I got to see today.

Barking up the wrong tree as the coordinates pointed me towards a nest of some sort. Also the number of logs threw me as i only saw 2 names on the log until i read the fine print. Thanks CacheQLD
I enjoyed placing these in preparation for the Easter 2022 Mega. Claiming the find now.
Nice [FTF] Thanks for the effort in extending the powertrail. It really is now quite a distance
