Last time i was here i couldn't see it for the life of me but then something had died and it smelled but the location was full of rubbish. this time a Quick find. Nicely themed cammo at gz. this series really never ends. Found with Mogni. I think this is the most changed trip in the planning stage that i have ever been on. The " original trip " was supposed to start on the 31st of dec but at the start of December life changed and the trip was now starting on the 26th of December and all accommodation that had booked cancelled and now see what else is free on the earlier dates. A major readjust of plans and got 1/2 the trip booked before the next curve ball came in to alter the plans again. More adjusting the plans again and i realized i could host 2 CITO's in 2 different LGA's in Victoria. What we do to qualify for Victorian challenge caches. Also i got my 20, 000 cache over in Victoria in this trip. It was decided in the end that the 4x4 was going to be the vehicle for this trip that way we could go and target all the caches that you never get, the ones down the sandy/rocky/dirt and forestry roads/tracks. We left Adelaide and headed to Casterton for a couple of days, then to Budj Bim National Park ( and saw 5 koalas in the camp ground high up in the trees ), then over Heywood, a night in Mount Gambier plus there attended the 3rd CITO of the trip before sending a few nights in Millicent and then finally home. Over 250 caches found plus 86 lab caches. Mogni also got her 11th D/T loop. I also got 3 more Victorian LGA's up to 20 finds minimum for another Victorian challenge cache. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.

Checked on my cache today with scramping. After an extensive search scramping found the little bug hiding under the reeds on the ground. After some quick repairs the little bug is ready to be found again.

Took some finding but was eventually discovered. It looked as if something had been chewing on what they thought was a tasty bug and then spat it on the ground after a taste. After a little TLC from CO who was with me the cache was put back tftc hevwalker

I am not even going to try to say this one let alone spell it. We found a reasonable place to park the car off the road and Brian and hubby went for the cache, one went one way the other went the otherside. All is good with the cache. SL TFTC

A quick three day weekend down to Beachport for an event meant a few caches found and quite a few Adventure labs done. [^]
Day 2: A birthday Event and a drive around Beachport with Muff1 collecting some caches that weren't here last time we were here. Big Grin Nice. Cool

Whilst I went one way following the trampled grass, Mr. Muff went the other and spotted the cache. Smile Sneaky, I don't think I would have seen it. [^]

Found on the third visit. It is a clever hide. The area could use a CITO some time soon.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

04-Jul-23
weird cardboard box of old mouldy clothes near where cache should be, large pile of manure as well. Seashells and bones in the shrub behind it. Sort of deterred us from finding it unfortunately

A different direction, down SE for a change with Jack, Purrfect Di and the froghoppin folk.

Not a lot of caches, but a lot of fun. Sunshine, snakes and smilies Big Grin

After a long search at the nearby salmon hole... we did have a few weird words for the CO... [:o)]

Started to think of some here too, with grass taller than me, but the frog soon found the prize!

Appreciation for the cache placement hevwalker , and ongoing maintenance Smile

--------------------------------------

Do please take care out there,
it's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees Surprised
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away Wink

--------

Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids.
No apples or other fruit needed Big Grin An apple a day doesn't keep the doctor away, we've tried that Razz

----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside Big Grin

It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big Grin [:o)] Wink

The end. For now...

... until next time! Wink

Our third full day in the south east corner of S.A. with our caching companions Suscoe. Today we cached our way to the west of Millicent around Beachport, dodging the showers and finding a good variety of caches, including a number of Adventure Labs. Great cammo here.

FP awarded here for a cleverly constructed Triantiwontigongolope.

Thanks hevwalker for placing caches in interesting locations.

Suscoe headed out today in the terrific company of Phetlern.
It was another cold day with showers flowing through from the south west as the day went by, luckily for us we only had a few directly overhead.
So between the showers there was sunshine and plenty of time for caches.
We had multis, traditionals, a virtual, an Earth Cache and Adventure Labs on out list for today and we found quite a few along the way.

This area of Beachport and Southend is a delight with fabulous coastal views today.

Thanks to hevwalker for this hide.

Tricky one. Once I read the description I found it. Such a good cache

13-Apr-22
Well I think that this cache is one of the most difficult 1.5 difficulty caches that I have ever encountered. The geotrail wasn't one of the 2 that Grub62 and I first tried. A novel cache that seemed to blend in. Very well done. A favourite point well earned. TFTC.

13-Apr-22
Bunadoorian and I were out and about early today and this find took us a long time as we tried many different geotrails!! Finally Bunadoorian said those words we love to hear - Got it! What a great cache guardian. Thank you so much for the work that went into placing this cache - hevwalker. Find 2 for today for us.

An afternoon wander to pick up a few stray caches with muggle hubby whilst the kids fished. An obvious geo trail here and the cute cache was quickly found! Thanks

I sects indeed hang in trees. Doing a trio of caches near Woolley lake.

Nearly gave up, but found it in the end. Cute little fella. Didn’t have a pen to sign today. Thanks.

I was just commenting on how this could take ME ages and there it was! Holey moley I'm glad this isn't a species we need to deal with, steam punk insects would pack a punch. Thanks for the cache and effort on this.

We decided to escape the heat and head to the coast today. With a few new caches popping up I let the husband decided where he wanted to go knowing we would have a chance for a few caches at most places
He chose Beachport we like the food at the pub there it is usually rather good and this time was no exception.
Went for a rousing walk along the jetty and collected a few caches about the town. Then we called in at Robe for ice cream and walk along the coastal walk from the inlet. Decided to save the new AL for the next visit.
We had a lovely day out and found 12 caches/labs for the day. We missed Rex (again) .
Yep that word is too hard for me! TFTC Hevwalker

27-Dec-21
It too me a few moments of looking around before laying my eyes on the cache. TFTC

It was well worth it when I eventually found the little critter. Thanks for the effort and TFTC - a favourite from me.

17-Dec-21
This strange creature was quite shy at the start but eventually revealed itself. A fav point from us as well.

14-Dec-21
Found with EsromL as we headed down the southeast for a few days of camping. Although geocaching wasn’t the purpose of the trip, we did grab a few caches of interest that were close to where we were going.

Thanks hevwalker for the cache.
