A cache trip to the south of Canberra do some more of the Vampire series. Signing with VAT. A number of caches planned to pick up on the road and a second extra walk along the Murrumbidgee to round of a fun half day outing. and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful late warm spring day. This cache: A quick find along the way.Thank you ALL7 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
My second evening in a row out on Tharwa Drive - it was a very peaceful outing: listening to the frogs croak, the crickets chirp, and the cows moo, all under the watchful eye of my favourite constellation. I think I might have even seen a shooting star at one point In my search, I was way too focused on one area / object, and it was getting me nowhere. Luckily, I turned, and the cache lit up in my torchlight! Though, Im still not sure if I did find the correct container, as the last entry in the paper log was dated back in January, with no mention of a replacement in the logs, weird It was nice coming out here tonight, thank you for the cache!
In the area, to pick up a few caches.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, ALL7, for us and others to find.
My daughter and I left Brisbane on Wednesday night, and made it to Canberra after lunch yesterday after a stop to see her brother in Sydney on Thursday noghtIn town to enjoy a few days of the Canberra Mega before heading to Melbourne for a family birthday party. After our first night in our accom I was up early while she caught up on sleep and picked up a few early morning caches Found a safe place to park and was soon at ground zero where the cache was quickly located. Log book signed ( needs a new one by the way )and back to the car and off on the next challenge.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Very excited to be here for my first Mega event from WA. Arrived a few days earlier to spend time with my childhood neighbour and family. First day in town and Ive dragged the old girl out caching. Out to try and boost my number to hit my next milestone whilst here. Many thanks ALL7 for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures. This will be my 7813 find.
Had a lovely country drive together with goingplaces2 and found the caches along this road. Some were a little more hidden than others but we enjoyed finding each one. TFTC.
Enjoyed the country drive with ilook4geo and had a successful run. Found this cache without any problem and two more names were added to the log. Thanks for this placement go to ALL7.
Out with barb2e and Mae, the geohoumd for drive in the country.

I stared at the water between GZ and me. Oh, what the heck, one shoe was still squirting out water as I walked, and the other was not that much drier, so in I waded. Cattle on the other side of the fence ran away. I checked one place and then waded further to the fence and checked there. The cattle were 'creeping' back to check me out. I returned to the first place I looked and then spotted the cache. I stood in the cool water, my shoes both submerged, and signed the log. Cache and log are good. Then squelched back to the car, water squirting out of the shoes with each foot fall. Caches and log are good. TFTC ALL7.
Had the opportunity to head down south and finish off this series. The grass was still very long and quite wet underfoot despite the lack of recent rain. Would be less keen on attempting this series in the warmer months. All found today in good condition and logs signed. TFTC ALL7
Oops!! Brain went walkabout & was looking for something totally different! After 10 minutes or so, came to and found it eady as pie!
Nice cool day, great to be outdoors and collecting caches along the way. Some area at the moment along the cache trail , the grass is so long you just disappear. Thanks to all the COs for their placement.

The universe is good!!! I had to wade to get this one, and I probably wouldn't have if I didn't already have wet feet!!! Thanks for the series, All7. Have a favorite point for the series.
Headed out with ALL7 awhile back now after getting the call up to help hide and go for a drive.
Had some fun putting a few easy drive by caches out around the South side of town.
Now these have all been found we are catching up on logging for 2021.
Thanks for the invite ALL7 and a bit of fun and laughs.

This afternoon I managed to escape work in time to head down south with Fitzy_1965 to address one of my lowest cache days in the calendar. The long grass was a challenge but all the new Tharwa Drive caches were found.
Thanks for the cache ALL7

25,334. Found with albida33 during a quick - um - Drive to Tharwa !
After grabbing a few caches up north this morning with minniek, I dropped her at a work Christmas party and I had the afternoon for more adventures. I caught up with albida and we headed down to grab this nice and easy series to help with today's numbers. All were found pretty quickly without any issues unless otherwise stated. This one was indeed a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one. Nice to have some freshly mown areas to park at each cache.
Thanks ALL7 !!

Out today for a few hours of caching, Southside style. Picked up a total of 24 finds from 25. Never got mugged or carjacked. I feel myself lucky.
Warm and sunny today, glad I got some outside time before the forecasted showers over the weekend. Quickly found, signed and replaced.
Not sure how long the log will last, the majority of the logs in this series were already quite damp. TNLNSL TFTC

This is a busy road so I thought I’d do these during a weekday but even then you have to time your finds to avoid zipping cars flying past. There is also a positive not going for a FTF here, as the grass is quite tall and others before me had trampled the grass enough to start forming a path straight to most caches. Made my job easier.

A quick park and grab on my way to today's Booroomba Rocks Walk event. No way to avoid wet feet here today, after all the rain we have been having. And the water was freezing cold. TFTC

After a better night sleep at Condor I am ready for the important day. Hopefully the weather is going to be better than the last few days. Into Namadgi today for an event and a walk. This will put me on 20000 !! Woohoo, good milestone that I am proud of. After that caching my way home for a good night sleep in a bed.

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to ALL7 for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

With our Namadgi hike to 'Cache of the Sentry' postponed due to the rain we targeted some of the new caches that were staining our caching maps with green blobs . After last night’s unrelenting thunderstorms we were feeling rather haggard from continuous disturbed sleep making drive-by caching ideal on this occasion. Or so we thought - LOL
In the process of picking up only ALL7 caches down south we caught up with the CO and TikvaNZ for a more difficult find. The help is always appreciated! Up until then we were chasing TikvaNZ all the way.
Overall these new ALL7 caches were a good variety and challenges with many requiring crossing roadside waterways, navigating long waist high grasses, under wet dripping vines, under wet trees or around wet bridges. Maybe we just picked the wrong day to come? Not sure why we were thinking that today was going to be an 'easy' day
I came home with wet feet and pants, cobwebs and seeds matting in my hair, and dirt over my top and hands . By then I was wide awake and ready to cycle around the suburbs of Whitlam for the new AL and back to Denman Prospect via the dirt trails to spend an early evening playing tag with the grandkids. Now for a great night's sleep .
Two favourite points for the group of ALL7 caches found today. The points are placed on the two more challenging caches as it brought a few of us together in one form or another - ain’t caching fun!

The missus needed to go to Goodwin Monash this morning to set up a computer for Granny. Whilst she was there I sought out a few caches in the southern regions of Canberra suburbs. TFTC.
#12331 - 10:07:00 AM; A quick caching run today with Sol de lune to collect a few of the newer caches along the Tharwa Road. All found without any real drama, although after recent rain, some logs were a little damp. TFTC ALL7
Out with LuckyL10n to grab the new caches along here. A few of the logs are already wet, however all were found without issue.
Thanks for the run ALL7...

Easy find today. Signed dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Note: I struggled to find safe off road parking for some of the Drive to Thawa Series where I could get the car fully off the road.

Chooo ooo [FTF] with DTY73, Aquilus1 and DRT on a hectic dash around the south side of Canberra - starting to sprinkle... Thanks ALL7!
*FTF* with Delta Response Team, Aquilus1 and Tankengine.
When all the new caches came out Delta Response Team, Aquilus1 and I were rather surprised. And practically all down south, that was an even a bigger surprise.
So we headed off to one close by, then after that we headed down to the deep dark south to try and catch up with Tankengine who was already snapping up the new caches like candy.
We didn’t expect to then catch up with contesta along the way who was also out on the FTF prowl.
We all nabbed a great number of caches which made everyone’s night. It was a lot of fun with everyone.
All the caches were found pretty quickly, except one which we later found out was missing on the night and another which was a fair few meters off the coords, but at least it was found. Tftc ALL7!!!

After collecting seemingly the only cache in the north to come out Dty73, Aqulius1 and I headed down south to try and catch Tankengine before he snatched up all the fun.
After catching up to TE we then continued around in tandem find many many caches.
Quick find with a blank log for an *FTF*
Later in the night we were joined by Contesa and ACT Policing for atleast one of our searches... Oh the fun of a trip down south.
