Not my usual neighbourhood, but we (ScoutKoalaBear and I) were down here visiting Mulga Joey Scouts, so, of course, we also looked for a cache close by.
I dropped the lid (not recommended) and had to clamber down to find it.

-----------
The date is February 25th, the time a little pass 9, and I head off to another geocaching adventure! (well not before various problems leading up to it, but I got there eventually).
My goal is to find the remaining Canberra Centenary Trail caches, that goal however, managed to spectacularly flop on it's face due to me A) me miscalculating distance + elevation and B) me being weak and not being able to ride up a hill properly.
The end result was me calculating the GZ of all of them but only being able to find one because I wasn't able to return to that track without dying. That's pretty annoying, but it will give me a excuse to go back to the bushland so I guess that's fine.
A lovely ride today, starting in Dickson, to Coombs, to Kambah Pool (following CCT), to Tuggeranong, to Macarthur, back to Tuggeranong then returning to Lyneham. Only problems were that the heat is HORRIBLE.
Like I might as well have jumped in the Murrimbidgee river, as then I would have been cooled down!
A surprising lack of grass seeds in my socks by the end, despite the long grass. The only animals sighted was many kangaroos, a few lizards and a single shingleback just lying on the fire trail waiting to be run over.
36 (i think) caches found today, covering 93km and 879m of elevation gain, I am now tired.
Overall, great day and thanks to all the cache owners for contributing to this massive gameboard of ours. TFTC!

I spent a long morning caching with Fitzy in the mid south of Canberra. We tacked a few caches that could have been tough and solved several multi's we will attend to at a later date. There was one difficult DNF before we wrapped up the day with lunch at Chisholm. Time to head home to try and catch up with some logging.
After a string of multis, we tried to simplify the rest of our caching and went for some traditional caches. My last cache at least went smoothly and we were soon back in the car for one last cache for Fitzy before calling it quits for the day.
Thanks for the cache ALL7

29,649. Found with albida33 during a loop around South Canberra today.
With the post Christmas / New Year period settling down to 'normal', albida33 and I did many caches today including some Multi's we have kept for other days as we ran out of time. Several pole caches and tree climbs - a real mixture. After lunch nearby we parked in a convenient spot and headed over to this rather nice bridge for a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on to the next one on our list.
Thanks ALL7 !!

The creek level was to low so I had to cross via the road bridge. Luckily this took me real close. Thanks for the find
Hard to miss seeing it, when looking from the correct angle. I dislike these slopey places; they make me feel off-balance, but got there. Cache and log are good. TFTC ALL7.
Quick find whilst trying to look not to suspicious when the muggles were passing by. TFTC.
We braved the heat today to get some fresh air and find a few caches. Found 4 of 4, so a successful ride/run.
Chris did the honours with this one. Had to choose between two likely objects, and luckily picked the right one! A quick find. TFTC!

Out for a mountain bike ride, picked this one up whilst going along the nearby bike path, Thanks.
Headed out with ALL7 awhile back now after getting the call up to help hide and go for a drive.
Had some fun putting a few easy drive by caches out around the South side of town.
Now these have all been found we are catching up on logging for 2021.
Thanks for the invite ALL7 and a bit of fun and laughs.

Not quite where I thought it would be but a quick find nonetheless in the second place I looked. Thanks, ALL7.
#12571 - 11:11:00 AM; On a mission with Sol de lune around Weston Creek and Tuggeranong to collect some of our unfound caches. All up 14 from 14 today. All caches were found in good condition and returned as found once logs were signed. TFTC ALL7
Out with LuckyL10n to grab a few caches in Tuggeranong and this one was found without too much issue. Just a bit of squeeze for a tall person. All good though and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed. I did like the 'extra' paint job to help the camo...
Thanks again for helping to fill in the caching calendar ALL7.

On the way back from the Booroomba event and decided to clean up all these new caches in suburbs I though I had cleaned out just a few short weeks ago. All were found in good order, on the coordinates. A couple were a little tricky and took some time
An hour or two spare while the kids weekly art class continues. Their works just getting better and better.
Cache found, signed and replaced without issue. Urrrrh, what is that stuff? TNLNSL TFTC

Bring a glove! I wouldn't want to be finding this without one! Appreciate the updated coordinates, we had the old ones in my offline list so started the search in the wrong location before refreshing the page, woops! So we ended up having to jump over the raging waters twice! A tough find, but got there once the glove was put on!
Thanks

**Today:**
A day off work and caching with DSD!
We were originally going to head out of the ACT, but with some predicated rain in NSW we decided it was going to be nicer locally instead!
We started off by grabbing some new caches around Denman Prospect area, before heading down to Tuggernong and cleaning up the rest of the P&G "ALL7" caches, before finally heading down towards QBN / Googong for a few more stragglers before we needed to head home!
Thanks to the CO's for keeping us busy on todays adventure!

All these new caches down south were perfect for topping up my find numbers for the day. I attempted this earlier in the day, but was unsuccessful. Later I noticed StarsAlign was following in my footsteps, and had found one I couldn't find. I made contact to get a hint, and she was at this one, having difficulty. The CO was on the way there so I also headed there. I arrived while the cache was being signed. TFTC.

With our Namadgi hike to 'Cache of the Sentry' postponed due to the rain we targeted some of the new caches that were staining our caching maps with green blobs . After last night’s unrelenting thunderstorms we were feeling rather haggard from continuous disturbed sleep making drive-by caching ideal on this occasion. Or so we thought - LOL
In the process of picking up only ALL7 caches down south we caught up with the CO and TikvaNZ for this cache which was a more difficult find. The help is always appreciated!
Up until then we were chasing TikvaNZ all the way. That particular cache was out by close to 20m AND on the other side of a now impassable fast flowing water course. Although both TikvaNZ and I had walked the long way around and searched the same spot the cache was now just out of blind hand reach in a wet dirty location that would otherwise be dry. Probably due to the volume of the overnight rains the cache was now a D4/T4?
The CO could no longer retrieve the cache but knowing where it was I reached in to my armpit for the blind retrieval and in the process a large black spider emerged. I was not sure which of us was more scared - the spider or me? We really appreciated the COs help on this occasion so that we did not leave empty handed. Suffice to says the CO has since updated the coordinates and the cache was replaced as per the cache rating.
Overall these new ALL7 caches were a good variety and challenges with many requiring crossing roadside waterways, navigating long waist high grasses, under wet dripping vines, under wet trees or around wet bridges. Maybe we just picked the wrong day to come? Not sure why we were thinking that today was going to be an 'easy' day
I came home with wet feet and pants, cobwebs and seeds matting in my hair, and dirt over top and hands . By then I was wide awake and ready to cycle around the suburbs of Whitlam for the new AL and back to Denman Prospect via the dirt trails to spend an early evening playing tag with the grandkids. Now for a great night's sleep .
Two favourite points for the group of ALL7 caches found today. The points are placed on the two more challenging caches as it brought us together in one form or another - ain’t caching fun!
One of the favourite points on this one ️. Not so quick and easy find, nor retrieve. My left arm and hand was covered in wet sticky dirt that needed a good clean Grr . TFTC ALL7.

*FTF* with Delta Response Team, Aquilus1, contesta and Tankengine.
When all the new caches came out Delta Response Team, Aquilus1 and I were rather surprised. And practically all down south, that was an even a bigger surprise.
So we headed off to one close by, then after that we headed down to the deep dark south to try and catch up with Tankengine who was already snapping up the new caches like candy.
We didn’t expect to then catch up with contesta along the way who was also out on the FTF prowl.
We all nabbed a great number of caches which made everyone’s night. It was a lot of fun with everyone.
All the caches were found pretty quickly, except one which we later found out was missing on the night and another which was a fair few meters off the coords, but at least it was found. Tftc ALL7!!!

After collecting seemingly the only cache in the north to come out Dty73, Aqulius1 and I headed down south to try and catch Tankengine before he snatched up all the fun.
After catching up to TE we then continued around in tandem find many many caches.
Quick find with a blank log for an *FTF*
Later in the night we were joined by Contesa and ACT Policing for atleast one of our searches... Oh the fun of a trip down south.

Find #4596
[FTF] Woot woot!! With Tankengine, Aquillus1, dty73, and DRT.
Came of shift and had no sooner put my feet up when the pinging started, and kept on pinging for long enough to get my attention. Took a while to get the motivation to go out again but could see there didn’t seem to be much of a rush happening so mozied on out.
Interesting bridge this one, especially in the rain! Very slippery and a bit of contortion work was required by Aquillus who cleverly made the find - a good 24m out - with eager accomplices searching high and low.
Thanks to ALL7 for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!
