I swear I've done this before and maybe not signed log? Knew exactly where to look.
Fun quick find. Unsure if the spider I became acquainted with was a paid actor or not, but they definitely slowed me down a little.
Popped by near here to enjoy the sunset at my old spot I used to come to regularly. Got distracted grabbing a couple others nearby and just about missed the sunset, but decided to make the most of it and grab some more. A nice easy find, though it may have been smart to not wear jandals to access it. Tftc
Dad and I decided to get out for a walk before the rain set in, we had to cut tthe walk short when it did set in and we got wet, but thanks for the placement.
A nice wee play on numbers and a quick easy find after a wander alongside the river, while the rain held off, and there was no wind. TFTC
Exercise in trying to find the best end to start from. Parked on Pioneer and headed along the trail to GZ. Soon had the cache in hand and replaced before a really slow walking muggle came along behind me. A couple of DNFs followed on the other side of the track before caching stopped for the day. Townsville tomorrow for a few weeks.
With a desire to get my July 23 caching underway we had a quick trip to Palmy today. mrs c hit the shops and I headed off for a mixed bag of four finds and two DNFs. The sun shone warmly and my finds were pleasant, cheers to the COs.

Very first cache found today. Still learning so forgot a pen to sign log. Took nothing but left a lil something. Thank you for the cache
Great cache, will come back tomorrow to write in the log book and maybe pop a pencil in for others
Although it as a hot sunny day I was out on my bike visiting a few of the newer caches over in this corner of town and i did not meet even one other walker or cyclist on the tracks over here which rather surprised me ...too hot perhaps ! I remember an earlier cache in this area which i foolishly attempted on a weekday but it had Grey hound racing / training taking place and the dogs did not like my close proximity to them .but today it was all very quiet . All was well with the cache . i took nothing and left Nothing . Thank you for this cache ,
It was lovely post-Covid isolation to get out today for a little walking and geocaching. We planned a short expedition of just three caches, all roughly on the north western side of PN. The calm mild winter day this became was just right to go out into after illness too.
It was a shame we couldn’t have managed to go on a palindromic day for this cache, but it was good to finally get to do it, especially too after seeing a recent log that reports the hiding spot is due for the chop!
The find was quick and straightforward with the cache soon back in place. There were occasional walkers and runners about, but not while we were at gz fortunately. TFTC Phronimos.

Happy 22/7/22 - another Palandromic Ambigram day!
On the way to this cache I was thinking this topic, as I noticed that today 22/7/22 is palindromic. But it is not ambigramic (ambigramatic?!?). However today is not a palindrome if I use a different calendar (eg Mayan), or a different formatting (eg american - m/d/yy - 7/22/22 or dd/mm/yyyy - 22/07/2022) or if I use a different numbering system - I was mulling base 7 in my head when trying to turn today into a ambigram - 31/10/31 - no that didn't work! But it is if I use a different font. An ambigram does not work so well with some fonts - even limiting to something as simple as 180 degree rotational symetry. You can see this in the CO's example - although it reads the same (so *is* an ambigram, it does not look quite identical, so is not 100% there.)
So I was thinking... can I choose a suitable calendar or formatting or numbering system or font such that this would become an ambigram? And the answer is yes - there are two ways I could do this.
I could change the font - font is just a set of representations of each letter - if I simply change the representation of "7" to a square then today becomes an ambigram (provided I use d/m/yy formatting and gregorian calendar and base 10 numbering system).
Or I could change the numbering system to base 1 (using a fairly standard western font, Gregorian calendar, d/m/yy formatting) - in other words:
0000000000000000000000 / 00000000 / 0000000000000000000000
Incidentally we could also change the formatting to use something a little easier to read, some funny bastardisation of base 10 implemented in base 1:
00 00 / 0000000 / 00 00
Woohoo! Found a palandromic ambigramic cache on a palandromic ambigram day!!
I so have to give a favourite for this! Okay, I would have anyway, as the cache is big enough for treasure and dry inside.
Some interesting things along the way. See photos.

Another good cache found with woolwood9.
*Enjoyed the drive / walk around.*
SL **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for the fun find!
Really appreciate the effort put into this cache.*
**while searching the tree for the cache, an angry groundsman from the racecourse came up to us demanding to know what we were doing. He stated the walkway although managed by council was on racecourse private property and told us to remove the container, we said we would let the cache owner know but wouldn't take it away. He also said the trees are about to be removed to stop damage to the walkway.**

A quick find on this blustery day. The stream was very high after all the recent rain. Tftc. All in great condition.
Easter Monday, and that dreaded back to work tomorrow feeling starts to kick in. But luckily for me I have a fantastic cure for the return-to-work blues, geocaching
Having paid a visit to Feilding, I then took the scenic route home via Palmerston North to catch up with friends and to avail myself of their coffee-making facilities
It was with a strong sense of Deja Vu that I made the walk to GZ this afternoon. I came here once before to search for a cache, which I never found before it got archived. Luckily I had no such issues today as it was a quick find for me.
Finding no issues with either container or log, the latter was soon signed before the lot replaced as found.
Thanks for bringing me here today

Out for a walk with emmacbl picking up a few caches on the way. Easily found once we were in the right spot. Cache in great condition. Tftc
An impromptu cache mission with Kelly0.
We raced to GZ and after initially searching in the wrong area the gps settled and the cache was plucked from its avian home.

I was in Palmy so naturally looked for a cache to find in this unexpectedly good weather. I picked this as it looked fairly easy after a short walk.
At GZ I had to settle for a near by stopped bike instead of waiting for the coast to clear but got out before a few more groups passed by - I think I had a similar situation last time I found a cache near here.
Appropriately I found this cache on 22/3/22 - another palindrome date.

I went for a walk along here this afternoon with my daughter and granddaughter.A quick find and a good cache!Wrote the log and re-concealed carefully. On the way here and back we picked a container full of blackberries..an added bonus! Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC!
#12,753. Enjoyed the short walk in Highbury, Palmerston North. Came across several other walkers on the path, but GZ itself was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Christmas morning bike ride to GZ for a quick find. Passed four dog walkers on the track. Thanks Phronimos for the cache.
Well that was a special date to celebrate. Out for a morning bike ride with a friend and this cache was my destination. The wind was rather blustery in these parts of the track. Neatly hidden, thanks Phronimos.
Decided to travel down to Palmerston North for the Geocaching International Film Festival. After attending the event we decided to find this cache that was published yesterday - the geohound enjoyed the walk in the rain and the cache was a quick find. TFTC
Thanks Phronimos for placing this cool cache!!
Well done Yeetrees- in the right place at the right time as usual!!
I was {2TF} Second to find despite jumping on my bike about 15mins after first publication.
Had a nice ride here in the blustery NorWesterly.
Great to have this palindromic cache pop up on my day off...
