With no work today and my 3 year old on a holiday with his Grandparents, I decided to make use of a day to myself!I picked up BellaHappyChappy and off we went on a drive to Mangoplah to do the Armco to Mango series, along with the Pub Crawl series that was solved well over a year ago! We were driving through Jingellic when Bella asked If I had found this cache. I had not so we stopped here where I made a quick find and sign making this find number 1 for the day. We continued on our way to continue the days adventures, we finished up in Wagga Wagga for fuel, food and to avenge the post office cache that I failed to get back in September due to lack of a TOTT on hand. Than it was back home again with a couple more stops for caches on the way back. Very happy to say no snakes were seen today just hundred of flies! Thank you to all the cache owners for placement and maintaining these caches.
With the Monday of the long weekend off, I decided to head over to Wagga for the CITO. The area was looking much better when we finished. After the clean-up, DSD and I decided on going for a big caching day trip. The trip saw us driving to Corryong via Tumbarumba on the way there. On the way back to Wagga, we decided to follow the river and go via Holbrook. The loop was approximately 380km. It was a very nice scenic drive which for most of the trip, neither had driven along before. So a few new LGAs for us and we also got to meet, The Man from Snowy River. It was a great trip and of course we found as many caches as possible along the way. Most the caches we found were quick finds and were signed as: JM & DSD. To end the day, we also managed a FTF on a new cache in Wagga. Thanks to DSD for letting me tag along. One last thing, with todays finds I have broken my previous biggest year and its not even December yet. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs!
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 and Robmc for replacing the log in this one. Jingellic Store was going off - and the new sculpture has inspired another cache
# 21739. Moving day today, from Colac Colac to Walwa and a good start to the day with a 2TF that we saw published yesterday afternoon. Crossed the river a few times into NSW and back to Vic and managed to gather up 14 finds and a DNF (presumed missing). The scenery post-winter is good for the soul - lush greenery and happy cattle everywhere. Even managed snow views from The Bogong Moth.First stop in Jingellic. Thanks to the hint a very quick find. Log sheet was full so left a new one and then went to visit Andrew Whitehead's relatively new sculpture at the gates to the showgrounds. Read about the days of hell and continued further for a few more finds. Thanks Thewins5
Day 4 of a short caching trip. BettyBoo3747 and I traveled between Colac Colac and Walwa, collecting caches along the river as we went. Some beautiful lookouts along the valley. A little bit of snow seen in the distance.Parked at the bus stop so that hopefully we could not be seen from the store.A quick find, and BB replaced the logsheet as it was chockers. We then crossed to have a look at the fire fighter sculpture. Thanks, Robmc.
#6617.In my opinion, one of the best ways to spend Father's Day is to be out caching with the family. This was our first visit to Jingellic. We only had time to attempt this cache, but we will have to come back soon to have a lunch at the pub. Cache was quickly found, but log sheet was full. We managed to find an open spot to leave our mark. TFTC!
Struth, forgot to log this one. Had a cracking night at the Pub, so cracking that we (Jorgo #3 & Co) stayed there till it shut. After a very late rise and a morning feed we finally got going going. We stopped and payed our personal respects at the Samual Mcpaul Memorial after picking this cach. A real sobering place. TFTC
Nice easy find - possibly the smallest cache we have seen. Log is full, would have replaced but due to size couldnt
Found it quickly. Beautiful area along the Murray. Nice little hide, thanks for the hint. TFTC
Couldnt find it we suspect someone had sadly taken it because a lot of the comments said it was easy to find
TFTC. Found it with geo grandkids on a rainy day. On our way home after exploring the mountains.
After spending the night camping on the Murray it was time to head into NSW but not before we checked out this tiny town.Cache was found quickly due to the hint although the log took a bit to get back in but got there in the endTFTC
We loved the free camp behind the pub and the walk over the state boundary into Victoria and, oh, the ever so tiny cache SL, TFTC
Rare opportunity to get away with out the kidlets the wife and I decided to head up to Geehi flats for the long weekend with plenty of geocaching stops along the way. Awesome weekend with many great caches found.
This was our first find for the trip, been camping around Jingellic for year, great little spot. Fog was really thick this morning, plenty of people buzzing about though being a long weekend. Quick little find here. TFTC!

Found while on an Easter camping trip with the family, staying at Mannus Lake. TFTC
Out and about during the countryside haven’t been over this side before Geocaching and also thought we’d have a bite to eat️
We’re free camping at the Burrowye Bend Murray River Reserve this weekend. This morning we decided to go for a drive to check out other free camp sites in the area.
We parked and it was a quick grab with a helpful hint. Had a look at the fireman statue across from the general store.

Thanks for the geo-fun.
I am visiting the upper Murray area from Canberra for a few days of kayaking on the Murray River, and took the opportunity to seek out a few caches. This was a straightforward find. There was a big event in Jingellic this afternoon with a marquee set up, lots of guests on seats and speeches being delivered; fortunately, everyone's attention was on this event and not one solitary geocacher. Thank you Thewins5 for installing and maintaining this cache.

Staying at Jingellic for a couple of days but today I had to make a trip back to Goughs Bay for a couple of meetings and I managed to grab one cache on the way there and one on the way back, a bloody long day and I’m sick of driving

While in the area and with a bit of free time, we picked up a few caches.
Very enjoyable traveling this road, with some great scenery.
What a great place to camp here by the river, with a quite a few people taking
advantage of the long weekend.
Caches found in good condition. Signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Thewins5, for us and others to find.

Found with PapaGrouch on the way back from Wagga Wagga. A nice quick find and an area free of muggles late on a Saturday evening. Our third find for the day and part of our contribution to try to break the world record. TFTC
So todays plan was to drive the Murray River Road to Walwa, cut across to Shelley and head back home via Tallangatta - picking up whatever caches along the way that caught our interest.
Last time I (Mr ILT) was here I was repairing a boom lift at a property just over the bridge and could not go any further into NSW as the police were not letting Mexicans across the border. This time though there were no lockdowns so I had to duck across and see what I missed out on.... not much it seems... well, at least there are more caches here than at Walwa.
Thanks Peter for placing this cache.

We had been along the Border Loop trail twice already on this trip. We had gotten as far as Granya but being a sunny Sunday we decided to complete the trip to,Walwa and Jingellic. A successful day with 22 finds and the final 2 legs of the Border Loop AL.

A big as huntsman was here to greet me but I did it. A quick park and grab. Thanks for the cachè
Jingellic at last, and how easy was this bus stop cache to find! We well remember the very tricky and public bus stop caches we found in NZ some years ago. This was a quick one, and we were disappointed that the Shop nearby was closed already. SL at 3.51pm and replaced as found. #8491 TF another cache find in Jingellic Thewins5
Fastest bus stop nano we have ever found.
We have been here before and stayed overnight in Walwa… the coldest night ever inside a cabin!

Found myself in Jingellic checking out a closed shop, but a cache nearby seemed fun. Easy find amongst the webs. Amazed my mum on the size (and ease of find). thanks.
Thanks Thewins5 for entertaining me at this location.

We rocked up to this one to usual hustle and bustle of Jingellic at peak hour.....one 4wd at the shop....
So he big soccer mum car was parked right in front of GZ so dad could whip out and sign the log book completely undetected.
We have been past this spot about a million times as dads parents used to own a farm at Walwa and we were up there working it just about every weekend.
