Came here to avenge an earlier DNF. Good to know that the cache was missing and not that we werent looking properly. Quick find this evening
This cache:While preparing for this trip back in NZ I saw the DNFs and requested owner attention. Now that I have arrived in Sydney, it has been replaced and I could make a quick find at GZ. Thanks for the prompt replacement!Today:I was on a mission today! Actually, I was supposed to be here yesterday but my flight got cancelled. And a Coldplay concert in Auckland meant there was no other option until 24h later. Anyway, I digress. Suffice to say I was very motivated to make this work My mission was to find and qualify for at least 6 challenge caches, in just a few hours of caching in the Shire! Why you ask? Because I need at least 10 challenge caches to qualify for a meta challenge cache in Nelson . I did not think I would be able to do so any time soon, cause I'm not great with challenge caches and there aren't many around in Nelson. Until I saw there is a whole challenge cache power trail in the area where I planned to go caching during my Sydney trip! How great is that?! So I did my homework and figured out which challenges I could qualify for in just a few hours of geocaching, plus find those challenge caches themselves of course. It was a bit of a puzzle with multiple train rides and a lot of running at tge end but I think I (just) succeeded! Still have to go through the checkers after writing these logs. I'm sure about 5 challenges and my manual counting ended up at 31 out of the required 30 different attributes for the 6th! Let's hope the checker agrees Big thanks to all COs for a pleasant Shire caching experience and a special thanks to wazza9 for the challenge power trail that got me inspired to go on a crazy hunt today!
Hi nosmada,The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention, or it may not but in the absence of the cache owner performing maintenance and/or disabling the cache to check it out, I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 4 weeks) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 4 weeks to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.Ngaambul - Matt
The upside to midweek caching, no muggles. The downside, no parking. Sadly a DNF on this one today.
Inspected every inch of where we assumed it would be, and came up empty handed. Reading through past logs, this cache appears to no longer be here.
Owner maintenance completed on th cache today. A replacement log was installed.Happy Caching Nosmada
Today, my personal challenge was to find at least one cache in each of the remaining six Sydney LGAs that remain a pink colour on my NSW map. I had listed a couple in each area in case I couldn't find one. As it turned out, the weather was beautiful, the coordinates were accurate and I had a great success rate at each GZ. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches that add to our special game. All logs found were signed and caches replaced where I found them . If noted, I will add a special note tothe log. Yippee, I made it and have now completed turning my map of NSW LGAs green. This was a good find, but it desperately needs a new log. I managed to squeeze my initials on. Apologies for not carrying a spare of this size. Signed as SG as the space was so tiny.
Second of a couple while on my pre-dinner walk tonight. I'd tried for it previously without success but decided to give it another shot tonight by the light of the phone torch. Just as it was starting to look like another , I finally spotted the little guy at 18:05 leaving me wondering how I missed it in full light conditions the other time. TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks nosmada.
79. Whilst I was picking up random screws, DonmyBoss actually looked with his eyes lol dont be deterred its an easy find TFTC !
Very funAn easy one to cap off a great few hours of GC'ing todayMy kids are officially fans
The 29th Feb doesnt roll around too often so today I decided to make the most of it as I spread my wings across the Shire in what was very hot day for caching.TFTC
21346During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
With mobimidge. Laying out on the ground so have put it back where I hope it was meant to be. TFTC.
Found with 165ARB. Out in the open , definitely not where she looked last time.We are going to put it back where it look like it shouldve came from . Could be a quiet corner when no muggles around. TFTC
Last stop for the afternoon after a day in the Royal National Park.I left the geomobile on the sunny side of the street and had to walk back to the park as a lot of the street was filled with bins. Must be garbo day in the Shire on Wednesdays - must try to remember.I'd read the cache page information and had a particular hiding place in mind. I saw one but the GPS said 58m so I gave it a quick lookover, just in case, then walked on and soon spotted another one. The cache was easily spotted. With the log signed and everything replaced as found I walked back to the geomobile to head home, hoping for a better return journey after an overheight truck got stuck in the Harbour Tunnel this morning - 2 hours to get to the RNP (google said 43 minutes). I would have turned around and gone home if I could have!It turned out to be a good day with an interesting hike, plenty of nature and 3 caches on the way home.TFTC # 5639
Trip around the shire today collecting a few ALs, also ticking off a few PnGs if nearby. Spotted cache and its attachment quite quickly but why a nano log in a cache that size? Took too long rescrolling and I was getting wet completing duties as the on/off rain had started again. Not so sunny here today.
Day 8. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.
OZHockeyChick had flown in for 3 days of caching around Sydney and Newcastle and today was the last before she flew home and I travelled further north. Making our way back to Sydney ticking off LGAs and target caches was the days plan.
A nice discreet hide here.
Thanks nosmada for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

A beautiful sunny day and quiet lunch spot to pick this one up. Cache in great condition, log perfectly rolled which is not surprising given the last finders were our Geocaching senseis @Mr&MrsFish!
We were here at just the right time with threatening storm clouds but no rain and an empty park. At GZ I had a bit of a look before spotting the cache, which was soon logged and returned as found. Thanks for a good hide, which would be a lot harder to get on a sunny day with kids riding past.
Yay, thank you! Not sure if I can claim FTF as it's been here for a while but newly replaced. But as its a new log I'll take it as my first FTF
Completed a cache maintenance this afternoon only to discover that the cache was missing. Will organise a replacement this week
i feel like i’m probably blind but wasn’t able to find it might try again another day ???
A nice quick find as the last cacher hadn't replaced correctly. All good now. TFTC
Completed a maintenance check on my cache today after a maintenance request. The cache is still in position.
#8828 (1 of 6 today - including 1 Adventure Lab)
I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to two months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES!
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Anything interesting from my day will be added here - don't hold your breath.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Anything specific to this find will be added here - really, DO NOT hold your breath.

Had to consult a friend who’d already found this one, and after that the cache was soon in hand!TFTC!
There is a puzzle near where I live that’s hidden this same way, thanks for the smiley
A nice quick find at GZ. Very peaceful sitting under the tree lodging this find. Smells faintly of poo though… wonder if anyone has put dynamic lifter on their lawn nearby. Thanks for the cache
Last cache for the day, soon found the little one hiding well away from prying eyes. Thank you nosmada
TFTC,
After attending the Event on the Woronora River, it was time to find a cache for the day. great to see these caches which take you back in time as often there was a cache in or near these locations before.
We had the right idea but were looking in the incorrect locations. After a while I saw the way and we stamped the log.
