I looked in the wrong place to start with but then followed my GPS and cache was found. Thank you for the placement.
Herding the warning, we didn't go down the bank as it looks like so many have. Instead we did not pine too much over this and made a quick find. Tftc.
Loving the ride around Highbrook today, one day I'll come back and just ride and not do any caching. Don't know how often I have cached in this area over the years, but today I think it's the first time on my e-bike. The bike makes short work of the long grass heading to GZ. Initially I thought: 'Oh no Glyn... this is not a D1.5' but I definitely looked in the wrong places until I looked back and thought.. oy yea, that'll be where the cache is... sure enough found it.
Today I got up early and thought I'd go for a paddle and grab a cache. This cache was my target. After an inspection of the shoreline, found a suitable spot to disembark after admiring the wildlife. The cache was located after a bit of inspection and signed. A really nice morning..
Out for another Sunday morning strip with geodog and himself. Hopefully the rain stays away!! Walked past but turned and had my eyes on it straight away. TFTC.
**#20,997**THis one and then one more before heading back to meet up with Mrs Geckoh to work out the next plan.No issues here, although lucky you mentioned not going down near the drop off as I was very tempted to do so.Luckily it resulted in narrowing down the hiding spots.
All the Easter celebrations were over for another year and it was a beautiful sunny day outside. After having a bit of a veg day yesterday and wasting that sunny day, we thought it would be a good idea to get out and do something... but what? Well, we hadn't been caching for a while, how about a spot of caching in an industrial area which will be very quiet due to it being a weekend and also a holiday weekend to boot.We were sure that we had been to find this cache before, but for some reason were not able to find it or we didn't have a pen, or some other lame excuse like that. Anyway, we approached GZ and thought that the cache must be hidden in one place, but upon checking the GPS again, it didn't look like it, Yet, that is where it must be. Our geoblinkers were on a wee bit. Then, Mr. Kiwi spotted the terrain rating and surmised that the cache could not be where they thought it was. Upon looking up from his phone, there was the cache right in front of him. That fitted better with the terrain rating.
I was about to get back in the car and drive away when I noticed two more caches nearby, this being the first of them! Thankfully I wasn't pining for too long and the (generic sound made by cache type) was soon audible. Grateful to also be at the bottom (of the first side) of the log, so I didn't have to unravel the whole thing. TFTC!
#569I worried that it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack but we found the cache shortly after reaching GZ. Glad this did not sap too much energy as we are on the hunt for plenty more today!
A quick find for me. Friend rushed down to the trunk, I followed the GPS and there it was. Cache all good and dry. Thanks
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were chasing favourited caches to boost our Wheel of Challenges tallies. Actually, well go for anything if its in the wayAnother familiar ground zone, but not much time to reminisce or enjoy the scenery. A quick find - Thanks G-2. TFTC.
I started the day with work down Manukau way this morning, before returning to the city this afternoon. This left me with time to take a lunch break walk around Highbrook Park and find some caches along the way. Nice sunny weather for it. After finding "stumped in highbrook" I left the track and followed the grass around to this ground zero. The warmer and drier weather has firmed the ground up, so it wasn't squelchy for me getting to GZ. Coordinates were bang on and I made a near instant find here. Cheers for the cache placement!
Great spot for a cach.I know if I hadn't been actively looking for it I wouldn't have spot it. Lots of bird life out here today. Including a flock spoonbills. Thanks again G-2
Glad I had my proper boots on today because there was quite a bit of squelch getting here. Saw the likely host, saw the drop into the water, checked the terrain rating, and the spotted the cache. It was tricky to find somewhere to put my phone and pen whilst I unscrewed the bison but I managed it.
Initially started looking in the wrong place, trying to track down GZ. Then I noticed the terrain rating and despite the GPSr not pinpointing the right location I found the hide. Puppy liking the grass here and would like to run around but she is stuck on a lead too short for much of that much to her frustration. Glorious sunshine this afternoon. Thanks for the hide G-2. A lot of rubbish getting here and going to the next hide around the corner but forgot to bring anything to put it all in. Hopefully the next cache hunter will bring something.
Needed to get out of the house. This one has been on my hit list for awhile. As I couldn’t find it last time. But arrived at GZ, and found it very quickly.
The first sunny day for a while and it was a hot and humid affair, but despite this we decided to spend the afternoon caching in the local area, tidying up a few pesky green dots!.
This was our last cache of the day, we had intended to just do 10 caches - a nice round number of finds for today. But this one was the last unfound cache we had in this particular area, so we couldn't just leave it, leaving us with a find count of 11(OCD alert!!!) the cache itself gave MrNZT a little difficulty, but he got there in the end! TFTC!

We are in a "holding pattern" today waiting to pick up our grandson tomorrow. We saw all these caches here and decided that we could get on our bikes and find some. There is plenty of parking for our motor home close by. This was the first cache. It took a while to locate as we had spotted the remains of the previous cache. Once we read the description, we looked harder and found it. It's funny how you can't unsee it once it's found. Thanks for the placement G-2
The rements of a previous container had me going for while did some reading and was soon rewarded as I approached it from up higher..all good thanks G-2 back on the bikes
We needed to come over to Highbrook today to collect an online purchase, so of course took the opportunity to find a few more caches over this way. It was extremely windy on the way to GZ, but thankfully the rain held off. Once there we remembered doing the previous cache in this spot. Another quick find of this new version today, then back to the shelter of the car. TFTC.
Needed a cache to fill a dot day and had this one close to work for just such an occasion.
B4Dawn and I wandered over to GZ convinced we had found this one previously and maybe forgotten to log (not like us!).
Found old cache remenants, stayed safe but went too far in before returning to the edge and spotting it…aha!
Thanks for the cache.

out with alunb and agazo today, a nice walk then a quick find, all good today, tftc
We all appreciated this replacement cx and went to the correct place right away. TFTC.
Out caching today with Agazo and nufrat. A nice wander out to the point to make a quick find, TFTC
It took a while to spot it.

Thanks for the easy find. Nice peaceful afternoon out here! Cache is in great condition. Thanks!
Was working in ET so once that was done, detoured to Highbrook to grab 2 caches. Nice quick find here. TFTC
Mr P was going down the slope as I thought about the Co and his recent knee operations and after a look around - success!
A late afternoon stroll in Highbrook before checking in to my Hotel. I found the remnants of the previous cache. After reading the previous logs I decided to keep looking and soon found the new cache. TFTC
Another newish cache in the area that we wanted to get. I was chauffeur today so parked the little GZ at the closest entry point and off we went. I went down too far and Mrs KC had it located quite quickly. Many thanks for another cache in the area
M12 spotted what he thought was the cache only to find the remnants of the old cache, upon further searching he had the new one in hand.

Like the Coblets I too was distracted by some camo tape and a cable tie and thought the cache might have already been muggled but Mrs Jag called out no, it's here.
Out with Merlot58 to find a few caches before the forecast rain arrived, we made our way along the wet grass towards gz. The only thing we saw was the remains of some camo tape and a cable tie so we thought the cache might have already gone, but Mrs Jag kept searching and soon spied the well camouflaged cache hanging around waiting to be found. Out caching with nette1234 today!
Good to have so many new caches to get now we are allowed to cache ...thanks Glyn, you have been very prolific.
Surprised we are second to find here!
Took us longer than it ought to have.
It was so easy really!

We had just finished lunch when the alert came out for this nearby cache followed shortly afterwards by another which was also nearby.
We had yet to do the dishes but it only took a split second to get our priorities right and we were soon out the door.
We only had time to get one of the two and chose this one because it seemed the easiest to get to and there was parking close by.
Every time we come out this way on a weekend we see at least one car parked with two occupants in it seemingly dong nothing and today was no exception, although this time it looked like the occupants might be doing something but we are pleased to say we didn't look closely enough to find out what.
We parked about 160 metres from the cache beside someone else who was also parked for no apparent reason. We thought it might be another geocacher but he was just sitting there so we got out of the car and headed to GZ.
We started our search and initially got distracted by some camo tape that seemed to have been very specifically placed but had been partly removed so we wondered if the cache may have been muggled but while we were pondering the matter we suddenly spotted the actual cache right in front of us.
After a quick check of the log we were pleased to see that we were the first to find
Thanks G-2 for an unexpected lunchtime excursion.
