A milestone birthday for MrTG last month & the family booked a short labour weekend family getaway in Hokitika. It just happened to coincide with a monumental Spring weather event over the weekend. With Arthurs Pass shut with snow, we had to head north out of Christchurch and through the Lewis Pass to loop back around and down to Hokitika......in torrential rain. Fun driving, not much stopping!Heading back to Christchurch today (through Arthurs pass which is open again - yay). Weekend over & heading for home (CHch)...MrsTG thought this was a nice spot for a family walk, much to the disgust of Mr15 & 17......a bit of a scramble and soon enough in hand and signed. Thanks.
Not sure about the hint, but continuing my walk along the trail here, another nice easy find, TFTC
Thanks for hiding this cache holymu I appreciate it. I wonder if the rats that nibbled it were near.
Park the bike in the shade and began to search..it took me a more than a few minutes to find this one I was puzzled by the hint..but happy as to sign this one off thanks Holymu
This container logs like a rat has nibbled it in two places. Just as well for a second container. Thanks for bringing us here holymu
I got my bike out to do a few caches around Kumara today. I wasn't being a Larrikin today.
I couldn't decipher the hint.
Cheers for the cache, holymu.

This Larrikan stepped off the track just in time to avoid a group of bikes. Understand the clue now, well maybe came up with something that makes sense to me; TFTC
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.

I worked out the hint but it didn't help! Thanks to KR who remembered the area from last year. Eventually got to the root of the problem. Thanks holymu.
We have been saving caches in Kumara for when we might need a cache for a certain day/souvenir but as we have some saved ones 'closer to home' today we decided to go and clean them up and finally grab the Adlab aswell, with potential to squeeze in a few new placements.
After skipping a cache in the middle this was our second on this section and our turnaround. We had no idea what the hint was referring to but the cache didnt take too long to spot after dodging the blackberry. The container has had a good chew though (see photo) Thanks for the cache

Did a bit of wandering about here, trying to decide which was a group of several single trunked trees and which was the MTT. Finally found the cache in the open. I initially blamed a weka but the amount of chewing the outer container has sustained made me think that probably a rat was the culprit. Tried to prevent the cache going walkabout again.
Not sure if it's in the correct hiding place so have attached a spoiler photo - - mainly for the CO.

Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Back in greymouth for a while working at the Noah's ark backpackers...so a good base to tick off a few more..
Set myself a mission to hit 8000 finds by the end of the year...that's an average of 6 a day ..
Heading over the hill to Canterbury lfor a search and rescue training weekend so a good chance to get a few along the way
Finally got one on this track, thought they would be quick finds but struggled with the first 2 so will look again on my way back...this was a quick find..didnt get the hint!!

Luckily I have learned what this acronym means from past experience. I could see several places that would fit in with that. In the end I found it in the first place I looked but unfortunately I didn't look thoroughly enough on the first look! All's well that ends well I say! TFTC # 18,172
Found with StreetWalkerNZ while en route from Christchurch to Hokitika.
Another GZ that looked a bit daunting. Wasn't sure what the hint meant until I went off track - aah, I get it. Not often I can say in this sort of environment that the cache was in the first place I looked, and even better, I found it on the first look .
Now time to return to the car. Thanks for the exercise and TFTC.

#20820. There were lots of potential hiding places here, and I was pleased that Troodles soon located the cache. TFTC.
Gos plays games round here , was a bit off , decided to check a couple more . Wasn’t sure what the clue meant but quickly found out ! Certainly helped ! Nice big rock in there too , thanks for the wander off track !
This has been a good series of placements, the good weather helped. It was great as it combine both a nice walk and smiley's!
Well deserved favourite.
Thanks

This was an interesting piece of off-track to explore with at least one big boulder. I couldn't understand the hint and spent some time looking in likely places but couldn't find this one.
A nice quick find thanks. Off on the bike for a few on this trail. A cool ride.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee jaunt to the West Coast, to climb another mountain.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Woohoo FTF. I didn't expect this tonight. Out for an after work run enjoying the warm evening. I didn't feel like a hard run tonight so decided I would come here and find some geocaches along the way. I hunted for a bit not understanding the hint but thankfully there was coverage so a quick Google helped. TFTC
