Great coordinates and a very easy find. Almost time to turn around and b head c back to the car. Against the hot breeze I might add

Knocked over half this series this morning. 22 out of 22. 25kms on the bike and the wind behaved itself. All pretty easy finds and all caches in good condition. I'll be back later for the rest. Thanks for the series olthomas.

Set out today to try and get a few caches. 48 finds, 4 DNF and a few DNA (due to size and location) later I am pooped. I finished on the bike track alongside the Tonkin on my e-scooter but quickly ran out of daylight and then my torch gave up. The ground in places was just too boggy to venture in (when I could see). Thank you to all the COs I have visited today.

Bought myself an e bike about 6 weeks ago and this is the first chance I’ve had to try it out. What better series to test it on. Quick find here tftc !

Mr Felix wanted to give his new e-bike a run, so this series along the new Tonkin hwy looked a good bet. Took some time to get to his starting point at the Northern end, so much roadworks!

A warm day today, not much shade on this cycle path, but a bit of a breeze seems to have kept the flies in lower numbers compared to previous logs. Did some log maintenance along the trail. Met up with Mrs Felix for lunch and a rest in some nearby shade.

Astounded to see so much vandalism to gates and infrastructure not to mention the cycle repair station.

Most caches found with good coords, some took more than a cursory search.

My new fanged wheels had gone TITS up so we have been a while getting back up this way. Then they suddenly uprighted themselves so we thought we would do a few more. TFTC olthomas

Today is the Sunday after International Geocaching Day. The geocaching aim for TaurusSix and I today is to take it a bit easier than yesterday, clear up a few more caches in the Muchea area before geocaching meandering all the way back to Bunbury. We started with another nice hearty breakfast at our B and B before we bid farewell and we hit the road. It is a glorious day, it started quite chilly but that just means it is going to be a lovely sunny day around 20 degrees again perfect for geocaching and almost feels like spring is in the air.

This is our sixth cache of the day and a nice 500 metre return walk to collect it . The road was getting quite busy by this stage. Nice quick locate , log and replace . TFTC olthomas

I had another appointment in Booragoon this morning so the Better Half and I had to wait until that was over before heading up this way to do the new caches and then doing a bit of a walk along the Mooching to Muchea series before heading home.

All caches were found without problems, logs signed and caches returned as they were found.

This was the 11th cache we found today.

Thanks olthomas for placing this cache for us to find.

Chwiliwr had another appointment in Booragoon this morning so we had to wait until that was over before heading up this way to do the newly published caches and then after a small walk to do some of the Mooching series. All caches were found without problems, logs signed and caches returned as they were found.

This was the 11th cache we found today.

Thanks olthomas for placing this cache for us to find.

I had an RDO today and decided it was time to come up and grab these caches. I packed up the bike, plenty of water and some food with the intention of grabbing all of the caches in the series in one go! It was an early start and I was looking for the first few before the sun had come up. I was surprised at some of the names and several of them made me laugh out loud! Cheers and TFTC.

G’day there olthomas, I was in this area today and found your cache Mooching to Muchea - Tittybong GC9JH6Y. Our name was added to the log book at 7:30 am on 21 March 2022. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!

We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 13311.

Heading up to Gingin today to pick mangoes, I decided to leave home a couple of hours early so I could take advantage of the *cooler* weather and grab a few of this "Mooching to Muchea" series. Its been a good 12 months since I last ride my bike so I was a bit out of practice... but once I got going it was a bit like.... riding a bike. All caches along the Neaves Rd to Muchea Rd section were pretty much straightforward, which was just as well as I am sure it was 40+ degrees out on the bike path by 12pm. Cos I am ridiculously lazy, I couldn't be bothered taking the bike carrier off the back of the car when I arrived home, so I may as well head back out there again tomorrow to complete another section or two. I like the titles in this series - very appealing to my lowbrow sense of humour Wink Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC Smile

No problems here.

Back up this way with Mr OOH YEH this time to clear up some more of this series. Took us about an hour to do 22 with mr OOH YEH on the electric skateboard and mrs OOH YEH on the electric scooter. Most caches were found quickly with a couple that took a bit of searching. Unfortunately Mr OOH YEH was getting low on power so he will be back out tomorrow to pick the last few up. TFTC olthomas

Mr richlink and Mr ILT rode the track today. The sun was high but a cool breeze made for an enjoyable ride. Unfortunately they had 2 DNF but all others were found due to good coordinates. Log books were signed and caches replaced as found,

It is hard to believe that these are actual place names. Well done olthomas, a great series.

13-Dec-21
Met up with ILT in Muchea mid morning so that the two geo-hubbies could cycle back to Ellenbrook collecting this series along the way. Found all but two of the caches and despite the temperature being around 26 deg, there was a breeze blowing which made the ride comfortable. Thanks olthomas for placing this series for our enjoyment.

Found it. TFTC olthomas. Happy to make the find here. Replaced as found

I found most of the bisons easier to locate than the preforms. I guess cause they were mainly hanging around in obvious places. Thanks for the hide.

Well it’s been some time between mass publications and after a few days … almost a week of minimal activity in the metro area this ticked all the boxes to race out the door!

Thanks for making us find out 30…. Or more minutes of exercise for the day!

Joint *FTF* here TFTH.

**FTF** with Cravo10, Leg5, Lachlan177 and Neva2old.

I’d been bemoaning the fact we haven’t had many new publications in the local area this week, and was nearly at the point of publishing a few myself, but I’ve published too many this year, and it’s throwing out a few of my stats!

Id had a busy day doing nothing at home, enjoying some time with the geodaughter EGB2020, and had just got ice cream from the truck that occasionally drives past our house, and the mother had popped around for dinner.

Suddenly the phone went bonkers, and email after email just kept flowing theough, loaded the map and had already had a couple of texts thrown my way with the usual “go go go”.

Threw the bikes in the back of Cravo’s car and we were off like a dirty shirt on the way to Muchea with a few phone calls to the usual suspects.

We managed to park up in a safe spot and worked our way through the caches, which were good finds with accurate co ordinates and a nice variety of containers. We did have a couple of DNFs which we had to return for, which I think were just fatigue from the long ride and excitement from seeing this many first to find opportunities come up.

The timing of the publications couldn’t have been better, with it late enough in the arvo that it had cooled down, but still had enough light to make searching as easy as possible. We still had to find a decent number by torchlight but the temperature had dropped nicely and it made the ride very pleasureable.

We snagged most of the FTFs, with some plucked from the few vehicle access points to the path.

All in all a very enjoyable series, and it was good to get back out on the pushy, albeit the rear end will no doubt pay for it tomorow.

Thanks olthomas for the series. I have awarded the first and last in the series a FP as a thank you.

*FTF* with B12, C10, Leg5 and neva2old - a joint venture here this evening. Out getting a bunch of newly published caches on a Sunday evening. Thanks Olthomas for this terrific addition to the Perth caching scene, I’d wondered how long it would be before someone actually placed caches along here. Cheers olthomas! Big Grin

Had a truckload of caches pop up, just after I got home from an afternoon out with the family. The better half wasn't impressed when I said I was heading out - messaged Barnzy and he said they were already on the way up to Ellenbrook. Put bike in car and started from Ellenbrook end. Greeted at the parking spot with teenagers without helmets doing wheelies at 100km/hr and a little concerned leaving my car at that spot (all good when I got back 3 hours later).

Managed to find a variety of hides, most quickly found - some took a bit more effort.
This was a joint [FTF] with Barnzy12, Cravo10, Lachlan 1.77 and Never2Old.

Thanks for the new series - had fun riding plenty of km.

I was on Nan duty when i heard the phone pinging, but didn't pay much attention until the pinging stopped and a message came through saying GO GO GO. So checked the emails and some caches published nearby, to good an opportunity not to attempt for some ftfs, dropped the grandkids and headed to the closest cache. I had just unloaded the bike from the car and I had company. The usual suspects. So with my butt still sore from riding around Rotto we managed a some FTF's.
A joint (*FTF*) with B12 C10 Legs5 and Lachie1.77.
Thanks for setting up this power trail olthomas
