Found with Baktrak after a lot of wandering Christchurch.Still a nice city despite ravages of nature and extremely slow recovery. Thanks for the cache Dimepodore
Had visited the murals when near over a few days until we had what we needed. prised the cache free with MummyPenny today. Thanks Dimepodore.
Another stop on our tour - Christchurch. After the terrible damage from the earthquakes, which can still be seen on some buildings, the city is beautiful. It is simply beautiful along the Avon River. Lots of leisure activities, great sculptures and restaurants. With the weather being great, we are going to cycle today to explore the surrounding parks. We are also collecting labs and their bonuses along the Avon to New Brighton. We didn't manage to do all of them, but we had a wonderful day. A big thank you to the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today we took a walking tour in the city of Christchurch. We walked quite some time and the weather was a bit cool so we stayed for a warm coffee. A big thank you to CO for the cache.
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand .On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland
Four Swedish ladies driving around in Christchurch. We log as TULP. Thank you for the nice ALC and The bonus.

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are currently staying near Christchurch for the next few days we were in town completing a few messages, doing some shopping & completing an Ad Lab Bonus Cache the Ad Lab had been completed on our last visit to Christchurch & we didnt have time to do the Bonus Cache then, so it was time to pick-up the Bonus on this visit we parked up & walked to GZ Mrs McMike2012 had the GPS & determined where we needed to be, once the GPS settled down, & I soon had the cache in hand, logbook completed & successfully replaced Mrs McMike2012 liked this hide & said that it deserved a Favourite Point, so here it is were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... I tried to grab the final here yesterday but some muggles were performing at the WP, so came back today when it was nice and quiet, TFTC
Visiting the grown up kids in Christchurch. Had a list of specific D/T ratings that I needed for a challenge cache in the UK. Really enjoyed the adventure lab as it was more challenging then some. Nice hide as well. Happy to add a favourite point. Thanks for the smiley
I'm in Christchurch for a few days for work so of course I have to get some geocaching in. I came down a day early so I could get a rental car for the day to target some specific caches in the surrounding area. That was quite tricky to retrieve! Grabbed the trackable. All good here and TFTC.Find #6442 at 26 February 2024 6:26 pm

I started the labs a couple of days ago and today I'm trying to complete a few sets of labs and their bonuses before I go home tomorrow. There was a couple not far away from me while I found it but their eyes definitely weren't on me. Somewhere between the last cache and here I've lost the pen out of my pocket so had to improvise with a stick with a sharp point and a bit of dirt. Photo taken incase it rubs off. Thanks Dimepodore#15004
5 January 2024 18:45. Yes! One of the few I have managed to solve recently. Persuaded my other half to pause while I retrieved this. All quiet on a mizzly evening, so no problems with a discreet search. Didn't spot it on first try, came back to the area, wow the force is strong with this one! Finally got it signed and replaced, then back to the motel for dinner. TFTC Dimepodore for placing this cache, number 13236 for me.
Tftc! Beautiful street art and nice walk around central CHCH.Greetings from Lithuania
I really enjoyed the well made adventure lab, good questions and fun to see the murals. I did it quite a while ago but there were too many muggles when I tried to find this cache. Today I was biking around the city finding the elephant sculptures and was coming past so decided to try again. Just one muggle to keep a watch on who was taking photos in my direction but was able to retrieve and replace the cache when he was facing away. Thanks for the ad lab and cache, fun!
After a great AdLabs we decided to do the bonus and what a tricky little hide it was. But Mrs TMGM was up to the task using her caching logic to locate the cache. The only downer with the bonus, it wasnt beside one of the many other brilliant murals. Thanks for the cache.Have an FP for a different (to us) use of an Ad Lab. Great fun.
Managed to sort it when the final was missing. After extracting the new numbers from the app, I headed over for a relatively quick find. TFTC!!
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czechia. After 4 months when I am back in Christchurch I realised that I left few AL bonus caches there because I was to lazy to calculate. Now it's time. FP
We enjoyed the round. On the way we visited the Art Museum, the Earthquake Museum and the River Market. Thank you also for the nice LAB.
We visited the various waypoints and gathered the information over a couple of days as we explored the city by foot. We really liked the concept of the adventure lab and have not done anything like it before.
Today we made our way to gz after checking out the impressive Margaret Mahy playground. The cache was located in the first place we looked and we had no problems extracting the well hidden cache.
Thanks for showing us the murals around town. Our favourite was the mural behind the Riverside market.

I completed the ad lab earlier in the week and left this bonus cache for another day.
What a fantastic hide!
I really enjoyed the AdLab and finding this cache- fav point from me for the excellent placement and effort gone into creating this adventure.
The final is a lovely spot to sit and contemplate as the sun sets on this early summer evening

I’ve been meaning to find this cache for some time - and managed to get here today between showers of rain.
Thanks for the interesting AL series and this bonus cache.
Thanks for the interesting AL series and this bonus cache.
#21887. We'd both done the ad lab sometime back, and it was finally time to look for the bonus. We don't go into town much these days, and a road I planned to use to get to GZ is no longer there. That plus a lack of parking mean it took a little while before I got to GZ. Quick find of the nicely hidden cache. TFTC.
I completed the associated Ad lab a wee while ago, over multiple visits, using buses to travel into the central city - easier to navigate and no parking to worry about. Decided to leave the bonus cache for another time.
After dinner tonight, we drove into the CBD to look for the bonus and both navigation and lack of parking turned out to be a problem . A bit of a tiki tour to GZ and SW made the find.
Thanks for a different sort of Ad lab and TFTC.

Took me a few days to get back here after finishing the AL but right where I expected it to be.
I have a day off today so I decided to go out and find some geocaches. I concentrated on finishing this lab and solving this bonus.
While looking at Lichfield Street for the word a seagull ️decided to poop on my head. It's supposed to be lucky but I didn't think so. Luckily️ I had tissues in my handbag.
Luckily the gz was not busy. It was so cold️️ outside I am not surprised. Thanks for hiding this cache Dimepodore I appreciate it.

We are lucky a cache nearby was archived, we moved the container slighty to a location where it will hopefully last longer. Please redo your calculation if you had already solved it. We'll see how this one goes!
Checked the site again and it’s definitely gone awol. The CO has also checked and it’s gone so I have his permission to log this cache. Thanks again
Gone again, twice in less than 6 months. Will think about a replacement or relocation if possible.
Down in Christchurch for a few days geocaching with my brother. We enjoyed the ALC and were disappointed not to find this bonus cache. Suspect that it may have gone awol again as there’s limited spots for it to be on. Or we could have had a case of cache blindness. Time will tell…
Good Friday was a perfect day for doing this cache, with the streets mostly deserted, apart from the Margaret Mahy playground and the Riverside Markets where we stopped for afternoon tea afterwards. Some very interesting murals. A quick find at the final. TFTC!
MrsTG was keen for a walk around town so i suggested this adventurelab. A lovely day and a lovely walk...thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Even watched a bit of art-graffiti in progress. Nice.
A quick find and sign at a quiet gz.
Thanks.

A quick find this morning after getting the information over the last 2 days. TFTC
Thanks to the CO for replacing the cache. I must admit I had a look a few weeks ago but I didn't log a DNF because I thought I lacked geocaching skills. Today it was a quick find a fav TFTC
Didn't find the container during our maintenance run, so replaced with a new one, on the northern side of the tree , rather than the south one, which looks more exposed.
Short trip to Christchurch to find some caches with tmann421.

Did the Adventure Lab a few weeks ago. We were in the centre of town today so swung by to grab the bonus cache. TFTC.
Container back in place. Changed for an more intuitive one as for opening: screw-top.
I went out before 8am to quickly find the cache and was surprised at how many people were out and about. I normally walk to town but today I drove into the city. I got the answers several days ago and I love street art. I thought that I knew all the street art in Christchurch so was pleased that the lab adventure took me to one lot that I hadn’t visited before
Found with Campmotherandken today after a short wander & having completed the lab cache! Great fun doing all of it. TFTC
Really enjoyed the Adv Lab and then a lovely walk to the bonus. Nice and quiet this morning as public holiday. Thanks for the clever adventure and bonus a fav from us Dimepodore.
Discovered so much great street art, and like many others, had no idea and felt like a stranger in my home city! There were some tricky ones in the AL and I doubt anyone could complete that in half an hour, but a bit of wheels and a bit of walk did the trick for us. This container is VERY tight lidded and some camo has fallen off I think. If Mr coconuts3 hadn't have been with us, I wonder if we would have got the lid off. However, happily signed and we enjoyed the whole experience.
I'm glad we decided to do this adventure lab cache tonight as there was not too much traffic around although it was still difficult to get parking in some places. We saw some amazing artworks - four out of the five murals we had never seen before. Our favourite mural was the one near Epic. We loved the final cache which we found in the first place we looked. A favourite point for the series. Well done. We liked the idea of the jigsaw puzzle pieces. It took me a while to figure it out.
Caching in the rain means no muggles.
Took a few minutes to pick the correct portion of each mural; thank goodness Liz came along as she spotted all five.

Found as per the hint, (and in the open), but unsure if it was placed somewhere special after looking at the gluey bits on the container.Re-hid carefully. Loved the walk around the town; so much that we had not seen. Almost felt like a stranger in my own home town!!!--- but all good and a lovely day. Thank you.
I really could have picked a cooler day to do this! It turns out I could have picked a better order to do the Adventure Lab, though the result was the same.
Right. I'd better go finish the X-Mas shopping!

An excellent bonus cache after completing the adventure lab. Great lab highlighting a few murals I hadn't looked at closely or in one case had never seen before. Great spot for the final too. Thanks, Dimepodore.

Really enjoyed the art work. A very hot day so I was glad to do it by car and then a wee walk for the bonus was well worth it. Glad KR got to open it as I wasn't sure whether to twist or pull and didn't want to knock any bits off the clever presentation! Tftc.
A nice quick find thanks, once I'd put the correct coords in the GPS. Luckily we were just across the river from GZ! A nice finish to an interesting Ad Lab concept. Here is a fav point for the package. Cheers.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After the event this morning thought that while in town might try an Ad Lab. Thanks for showing me those murals and the final so close to where I worked pre quakes. Nothing familiar here at all for me except the item at gz
I rode into the city from Redwood Park for the Ad Lab and this bonus cache. It was neat visiting all these new murals in places I hadn't known existed. In fact, I hadn't known that there was such a team of talented artists going around and making the central city a much more enjoyable place. Thanks Dimepodore, for leading me on this small adventure. I will definitely be returning to poke my nose in other small nooks and crannies left where buildings once stood in the CBD prior to the earthquakes to see what other treasures I may find.
We dont usually wander around the city in the evening. It was quite an eye opener. Enjoyed the murals and then the walk to the final was pleasant. Thanks Dimepodore for the Ad Lad and the final cache. A favorite from us.
An easy find after competing the associated adventure lab. Thanks for the AL and this cache

The fun of geocaching. Found a 30 min free parking spot so set off to get the final. Saw a guy I spoke to at another mural. Another cacher but better equipped with a bicycle. Found the final ok but struggled to get it open. Nice camo though.
Gets a fave for the lab and the camo.

Really enjoyed this adventure lab cache. One of the spots I went to would have been the best mural s I have seen. Didn't have much problems getting answer from each spot once I trusted the GPS where to go. Bumped into another cacher on my travels.

When this was published, I was out geocaching in Kaiapoi. To rush back to town to try and get the FTF - nah, no point, we decided. We were just doing the Kaiapoi Adventure Lab at the time with ObnoxiousSpaceCat.
And then when I checked the app, the AL for this bonus was not published yet anyway, so another reason not to run back to town.
But once we were back, OSC had to go his ways but at home, I checked the app again, and the AL was up, and this cache was still unlogged.
So I decided to jump on the bicycle and go for a ride. Arrived at GZ of the first mural. Hmmm, a carpark, no signs of the mural. I'm not very familiar with the street art around Chch, so I wasn't sure what's the big picture here. The jigsaw piece kinda only gave me a colour. And that turned out to be enough, as I had gone past a wall piece with that tone, on my way to GZ. Backtracked away from the carpark, to the other side of one of the adjacent buildings and voila!
OK, so I guess, it's a bit of a hunt! Not all easy peasy.
Arrived at the 2nd point. Lots of street-art around and again, did not know what I'm looking for. Had to google how the mural looks like. Went around the block. Still no luck. Ended up actually finding the answer on a photo online. So still don't know where exactly this one was!
**UPDATE**: I've been in touch with the CO and for the 2nd point the coords were pointing to a different mural, about 300m away from the needed one, and for the 1st one it was pointing to the other side of the building, as I described. Since then CO has corrected these so essentially I did some beta testing and found some bugs, that are all corrected now!
Third one, no problems there. As the mural is very big, had to just scroll my eyes around it until I found the right spot.
4th one, mural itself very obvious and fitting the name, no problems in finding the artwork itself. But locating the right spot within was a real jigsaw moment where everything looks the same ????????
Last one, this was actually the only mural I had seen before. But I hadn't looked at it closely so the words/letters in it - was a surprise. Again, a bit of a hunt for the right jigsaw piece but I got there.
All up this took a few minutes short of an hour to complete for me, from first GZ to the blank logbook. Good fun!
5 stars for the AL and a favourite for the cache! Even with the 2nd mural hiccup - maybe that was just me. The online detective work just added to the fun there.
