The AFL Grand Final is on in Melbourne this weekend so it is a great time to get out of the place for a long weekend away and any excuse to go caching.I checked the weather conditions of North, South, East and West in my part of the country and West won out so Im heading over to Murray Bridge for 3 nights as I was able to get Thursday off and make it a 4 day break. The weather is looking good and I left Melbourne nice and early to make the most of my break.I crossed the border into SA so let the fun begin. The ice cream series and the new Straya challenge caches were the main reason for heading this way when I picked which direction I was heading. After completing the Ice cream and the Straya series of caches throw in a few of the Wandering Heros and GEOPETS caches its time to have a wander around town.Having a wander around the old port area and along the river there is a lot of history to be seen and read. This is a great reserve plenty with a few people out walking riding and doggo walking.I made way over here then did a loop or 2 then I spotted the cache. Thanks Ghosty7 TFTC.

Not one of Sesalls ROCKS!, but could have been a contender for the series. After the first lap here, I thought that this was going to be a toughie, but that was because I had had mis-guessed what we are looking for here. Found on lap three or four. Nice work on the cache Ghosty7, thanks for another hide in bountiful Murray Bridge.
Can't believe we missed it the first time around second attempt was a breeze tftc

Along with our travelling and caching companions the Suscoes we made an early start from Bordertown and set out for Murray Bridge. Of course there were many stops to stretch our legs and look for caches!
After booking in to our accommodation, we enjoyed an afternoon of caching not too far from homebase - very sneaky.
Thanks to Ghosty7 for adding this cache to the gameboard.

After spending an awesome week at the Townsville Mega, it was time to head home. Stopped in Murray Bridge for lunch and thought I'd grab a couple of caches before moving on.
A sneaky rock indeed but I had no troubles finding the cache.

Today I headed out for a day of caching around Murray Bridge. After a few mentally challenging weeks I fancied a day out in the countryside and a big walk. Mission accomplished.
Had a great day out walked 14.5kms and found 25 caches. I did have a couple of dnfs but that was OK.
Lots of wildlife seen but thankfully no snakes. I am sure Rex was on the walk with me in spirit the Roos and rabbits thought so too!
Thanks to all the CO for cache placement and maintenance much appreciated.
Last one for today. Giving a FP for the creativity TFTC

Oooohhhhh I found it!!! How fun to see a cache I had watched being made actually out in the wild and NOT recognise it until I had it in my hands. Excellent cache, once again, Ghosty7. TYFTC SLTNLN

Raining, storms, flood warnings... what shall we do? Go caching of course Lovely weather for it, always!!!
Joined up with Mr froghoppin for some caching over the hills - lots of odds and sods and a little fresh ice cream Probably picked one of the best areas in the state today. And here we were at yours
Yep, that rock was a bit sneaky, but spotted when we stood back a bit and looked deeper!
Much gratefulness to Ghosty7 for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo game map
Team Mattycat included Sebastbat and Jack today

Looking around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
[^] [:o)] [^]
A great caching start to Twenty Twenty Too

Headed down to the Murray Bridge area today for my first full day of caching for far too long. The primary aim was the new geoart Ice-cream series with the secondary target being the recent River Views AdLab. As both were by the same CO decided to concentrate on her other caches in the time that was left. Ended up finding 6 caches by other COs and 42 by Ghosty7.
Was nearby working on the AdLab and realized the CO had a physical cache here as well, A nice quick find and stamp.
Thanks to Ghosty7 for placing this cache for us all to find

After completing the CO's new Ice-cream series and finding the first stage of her Adventure Lab I decided that I had time to finish the AL so I headed to the location furthest away then back into town to complete the other stages. [^]
While I was in the area I stopped to find this one that had appeared since I was last in Murray Bridge. Using the hint made for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Ghosty7.

Owl and Eagle were headed off on a long-awaited river trip but arrived a tad too early for boarding. This meant that Owl could find a new stray cache nearby - how convenient! Took a qick circle but the hide was soon spotted and the cache logged with time to spare.
