Another bluey added to this geocache. Still a good view to the south at nighttime. Photo shared with CO kireevi to see if a cache check could be made?
From what I understand as to where it should be, (assuming we were correct) it may have been lost to the void.Only our 3rd attempted cache so take that with a grain of salt Good luck
No luck today, even after searching with 4 other friends. We might just have big hands
What a find my first with premium, it was no cakewalk! If you are wondering about the scaffolding, walk a bit further to find the entrance. I almost gave up on the little bugger. TFTC and greetings from BNE!
Found whilst enjoying a tour of North Sydney, using geocaching as our guide. very accurate coords and hint. However, still hard to locate, until that final faint touch. Very nicely placed. Thanks kireevi
pretty sure i was in the right spot based on the hint and others pics but couldnt seem to find this one maybe i was looking at / feeling the wrong surface \_()_/
Today was wet and rainy day, but that did not stop me and batapus from doing some weekend caching. After doing some soccer at Cammeray, we walked down Merlin st to our first cache. This cache was number 2 in our adventure, approaching GZ, we were confused again after checking all the obvious spots. But after some further looking and my small hands, I managed to get this one this time! A similar piece of camo that i have used in the past. Placing the cache back where it was found. Now it was on to North Sydney to find the next 3 there.#140 TFTC
I’m back in Sydney for a few days visiting from Brisbane.
I have previously looked for this cache without success including where I found it today. Maybe it was further in last time and my fingers weren’t long enough, but today I felt it and managed to get it out. So third time lucky and not too busy on the bridge, even with workers down one end. So glad to have a smiley face at last.
I also found the archived We Set the Standards cache with help of some updated coordinates from someone. So a double bonus here.

Day 2: Lane Cove and North Sydney
Today’s plan was to strike north of the Harbour for two main reasons: to get the Lane Cove Virtual and to find a Letterbox cache in Sydney. The weather was lovely today, and despite walking almost 25k steps, it really didn’t feel like it, and I return to the city a really happy cacher
(End of the cut and paste section)
Decided to take a leap of faith here and check out the cache, as it was along the way to the Multi final anyway. Followed the hint and voilà, a cache was fished out at exactly where the hint said it was. Granted, it’s not the easiest to fish out of you have fat fingers, but it’s there! Signed in and pushed onwards. TFTC!

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12415.
Whilst I was waiting for people to turn up to the nearby event I thought I’d take a wander over to this spot and very quickly had my had on a cache right where the hint said it would be. It was tucked away and took a bit to retrieve but I was soon signing my name whilst the masses rolled by.
Thanks kireevi for the cache.

Several misses on previous "container". today a quick feel and find on walk into the markets.

Out for an early cycle. Double find here yay!!
Arrived at the Gz, using the coordinates in a prior log quickly had the original (Archived) cache "GC23K8M We set the standards" in hand. Container in ok condition, log looked done so I added a new piece of write in the rain.
Now for Crossy Freeway, using the hint I also had this one quickly found. Not what I was expecting, but SL duties done and replaced as found. No problem with muggles just before 6am. Thanks for placing this cache kireevi #1869

Find #: 2,995
Companions: None
Muggles: None (except those 10m beneath me whizzing past)
Weather: Pleasant summer afternoon
Cache condition: Understood
I usually leave straight after the annual Christmas function and go caching, but today had to go back to the office for some meetings (arrrgh). I was still able to get away earlier than usual, so headed up to North Sydney, and once in the area of this cache decided to check it out as the recent logs indicated it was still there. Once at GZ I made an immediate find and signed the log (interestingly, the most recent -visible- log showed as back in September - the power of water). TFTC

In the area for work so headed over. Wondered what might this be only to find it lying in the open as it has lost its attraction so a quick find and sign. Plenty of traffic. We tried to re attach but no luck so some CO attention is required. TFTC
Felt my way under all the spots, then noticed it on the ground. I could not make it "stick" so wedged it as best I could. See photo. TFTC
Luckily not too many people walking through today! Signed but very wet, the orange splodge is me hahah

#9266 (3 of 3 today)I am gradually catching up with my logging - I'm missing two months worth or so. And that's over 100 caches! At least my most recent finds are up to date - just need to fill in the gap!To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, I just have to put my mind to my future goals... 25 per day? Owwww.Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###Headed out to the north shore rail line for today's finds.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###amazed myself be getting a park nearby. But it is supposed to be metered, so better be quick. Was reasonably quick, but I did have a thought or two on the hide when I got to GZ. And the first I checked was right.Signed, replaced and time to head home.SLTNLNTFTC
After visiting here a couple of times before and not happy with a DNF as I seemed to pick peak hour traffic below and on the bridge. Today returned and found quite quickly and Im sure it wasn't in that spot last time i looked. TFTC!
Log sheet isn’t waterproof, my pen was damaging the paper. Returned with a marker pen and even that was destroying the sheet.
Plenty of muggles passed by, but a methodical search revealed the hide

Loved the description and enjoyed planning our trip to get it. Very safe to watch the traffic. Container is missing its lid but contents quite dry. TFTC
I can’t believe I found this as fast as I did! I could have been here for ages. It was raining so I couldn’t sign it. Well his cache!
DNF avenged from a while ago. Did my best to sign but not very visible given the medium. Pencil waypoint missing fyi. TFTC!
After a short search with Jr geocacher we had CIH. Should have worn jumpers though! TFTC.
I'd attempted this one before on my own with no luck uncovering the goods. Was in the area for a multi today with jennyfromthefarm and made a quick stop by this again. Jennyfromthefarm sported before long. Nice camo.
OCW discobob3 tonight in an impromptu grab for two caches. This one was found after a systematic search. It is good camo. TFTC
Sometimes you just have to admit defeat. A through search of the assumed GZ did not come up with anything for show.
We will come back some other rime.
We will come back some other rime.
Been here a number of times, without luck. Came back with the group wife and within minutes she casually pointed at it. Will try to sign next time, pen is gone. TFTC!
This cache annoyed the hell out of us. We had a very good idea of what we were looking for, but just could not spot it. We even sat down opposite GZ and looked, and looked to no avail. Finally after over 30 minutes we called a recent finder and were enlightened. Well we had the right idea, but failed in our execution. If there was one thing we could say, it's that it is possible that, there is a real possibility that it could go missing. It's a great spot for a cache. Thanks kireevi.

Not the easiest to record on, and it had been left out in plain sight. Hope it’s back where it should/could be now.
No expense spared with this cache. I guess we can give credit to the CO for recycling something he found in his letterbox. Maybe next time he can paste some paper on it so that we can properly sign the log.
Sneaky cache with a view! After feeling in a few crevices, keen eyes spotted something a little out of place. Ah ha! Thanks for the cache!
Glad I'm not too scared of heights.
Very clever camo kireevi, had me fooled.
Thanks

Out with Baktrak on a Sutherland / Shire incursion tonight.
We decided to attempt this on our way home and struggled for some time with the hide until I spied something different. Great work so gets a fave point.

We made a last-minute detour here on our way north tonight. After much fruitless searching, I read a couple of logs and realised I'd been using the wrong sense just as PPE exclaimed "Got it". Thanks kireevi.
Holy moly had 6 cop cars show up on suicide watch! Cos I was looking too far over the side I guess. And after all that I didn’t even find it, on my last attempt of the day. If the co-ords are right it must be well camouflaged.
Good day to turn a frown upside down. Come across these caches many times but not used like this one. Thank you for your cache.
Stopped off on my way to work today to have a look at this new one at the North Sydney pedestrian expressway overbridge. Parked the geomobile close to the bridge, at the end of Ridge Street (plenty of parking spots due to today being a Public Holiday), then headed down towards GZ. The last time I was here was on 24th August 2014 for the now Archived “GC45GCY - Looking East” (our 160th cache find), which was at the very start of the bridge walkway, but this new one was taking me to a different spot.
Arrived at GZ and amazingly had my hands on the cache within about 30 seconds, but I think I was just lucky as there are heaps of potential hiding spots at GZ. Did my best to sign the log with the HB pencil that I had brought with me, having noted the CO’s wish that a pencil be used, leaving my mark in space number 7 of the log and then replacing the well hidden cache exactly as I had found it. Would suggest the use of a 2B pencil (softer & darker) to future finders, as a HB is not very effective on the log’s surface, although I did note that some others have been using pens to sign despite the CO’s request.
There are good views from the bridge, so I snapped a few shots before departing, and then went and found the CO’s pencil just for fun (a bonus cache find?). And now it’s time to head off to work. TFTC kireevi.

**Update 08-01-2022:** The original (Archived) cache "GC23K8M We set the standards" has been rediscovered at this location and is located not far from this new cache's GZ at **S 33° 50.013 E 151° 12.707**. It's in reasonably good condition for it's age and can be logged as a "bonus" find when your here doing this new one. The old Archived cache has a metal container.

After dropping my daughter home at Redfern, I thought a slight detour to the other side of the harbour to grab a few caches would be a good way to shake off those Christmas kilos! With geodog, Zelda along for the ride, I knew I had a bit of cover if necessary.
We parked nearby and headed toward the overpass. As I entered the path, I noticed a couple of familiar figures right where the GPS was pointing. It was AussiePam and Jackscruff searching all around GZ. We knew it would be tricky, and it certainly was. Fortunately there were not many muggles about today, but a few gave us an odd glance as they passed. We just smiled and went back to our hunt. After checking a few places, eventually JS had CIH. I have seen plenty of these over the years, but this was one of the more sneakier hides. Well done!
It was good to catch up with some caching buddies, so we went and grabbed a coffee and had a good chat in the park. It almost turned into an event! TFTC

St Leonard's Park, North Sydney, is my normal go-to spot for walking when I don't have lots of travel time. I usually do a circuit crossing both walkways over the freeway... So, I thought, a quick run there on Boxing Day would be just the ticket. Then I remembered that there was a new cache on one of these walkways. YAY.
I then read the cache description, and geesch I needed a pencil !! Fifteen pens in my bag. No pencil. So I called a geo-mate, JackScruff, who happened to be close by, and asked her to join me. Alas, she had no pencil either.
Bright Idea!! There is a newsagent on the main road... closed!!! Public Holiday. Geesch. But in the cafe next door, I managed to scrounge the appropriate writing utensil.. and returned to the footbridge.
We had just got started, when out of the blue Brew arrived, Zelda in tow. I miss hunting in a group, and thought it was Christmas !!!! So we all got to work... and, before long, had CIH.
Altogether, a most enjoyable outing. Thank you kireevi !!!!!

This morning I went to the Eastern Suburbs for a visit and as I had just come under this footbridge and off the freeway onto Falcon Street heading towards Crowie the phone rang. It was AussiePam suggesting we meet at the footbridge and attack this one together.
So it was a bit of weaving around the suburb and I ended up at the end of Ridge Street where there was plenty of free parking today. Lucky!
So we walked out onto the pedestrian overpass and began searching, much to the amusement of a few passing muggles. No one spoke, only weird looks.
Then I noticed a familiar pair approaching and announced we had help!
So with 3 sets of eyes we continued our search. It wasn't too long before AussiePam called 'Got it'. Signed the log and replaced as found. Very tricky!
Being as there's security cameras there hope it stays in place.

A Christmas morning swim, a coffee with friends, a delicious waffle breakfast, presents and an afternoon nap. What else would make it a perfect Christmas Day? Some geocaches!! This one took a while to find. We found a lot of spider webs until we finally came up with the goods. Well ‘hidden’! SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek

With all the Christmas shopping done that means Christmas caching for us today !
Distracted for a while by the lovely view, as I was the first time I found a cache on this bridge, we then got to work with a systematic search!
It took three passes before I spotted the very sneaky hide !
Have a FP from me

Came back for another attempt. Feeling and thought “I’ve found it’. Only to find it must be the cache container from a previous hide. Signed it anyway. I’ll do a deal ( tongue in cheek) I’ll show you where this one is if you show me your cache. Oh well I tried.
Attempted with LazyPelican but dodo not find. I am suspecting that either it fell off or the camera saw you place it and muggled it.
Dashed out of the house in the hope of a FTF but this one proved too elusive. On the plus side was nice to meet a fellow cacher whose puzzles I had been battling with for several months. Good to put a face to the name GoogleHiHiHi and also thanks for the nudge on one particularly annoying one.
After two DNF’s, checked on cache and it’s still there. Coords are a but off so try finding it about 10 metres south from current GZ. Will make a coordinated update soon.
*FTF* with Baby J Man @ 2:18pm
We we're initially going to try the other nearby new cache "A Memorable Major" but upon arriving to GZ, saw that got found and moved on here.
The two DNFs earlier did raise a bit of concern, however we were familiar with GZ and knew there is excellent potential to be crafty -- one of the first caches we ever found was placed on this overpass: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC23K8M
Upon reaching GZ we thought we knew what we were looking for, however, a decent search turned nothing up. With the CO confirming the cache was in place (nice to meet you, and thanks for not spoiling anythign!), and potentially a few meters away from where the original GZ indicated, we decided to walk to a nearby cache, find that and return. There's only so much time you can spend at this GZ before raising eyebrows... as noted by WelshCathRog!
With "Downstairs" found, we came back to our newly calculated GZ, and surprisingly made the find quickly...
Won't spoil anything, but definitely warrants more than the original 2.5 difficulty IMO. Great to have 2 excellent overpass caches in North Sydney
Cache in order, found a bit hard to write in the log -- have messaged CO to let them know.
Thanks, super fun, and great to get the FTF!
Oh... and FWIW, we averaged our location at GZ to ~3.8m accuracy: S33 50.015 E151 12.713... YMMV!

Had what I thought was a good search on both sides with no luck. Luckily there were very few people using the bridge. I was expecting either somebody checking whether I was going to jump or the police. Guess if I was being watched on CCTV cameras they were having a laugh. Hopefully I won’t be heading back to Wales end January with a frown showing on the map.
