Beautiful area, saw a kookaburra and heard many more. I parked in a different location then on the listing mentioned, so I had to find my way though the scrub and trees. Wasn't too hard and kinda added to the adventure. Log book is damp. Could use a bag to keep dry but I don't have any on me

Find No: 9118. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at my brother's in Nerang, took the wrong path and ended up on the wrong side of the crick, backed up and regrouped and hit the jackpot, thanks for the cache GurTheWanderer!!

Came in from completely the wrong direction via Nakau cres. Couldn't see the concrete path. After a challenging walk down a slope. We eventually found the right location. TFTC Gurthewanderer.

Collecting a few finds in Nerang as I ended up in the area.
Walking down into this gulley brought back memories of places where I played as a kid

Thank you for hiding

From the direct route to the scenic on this one. In hindsight we probably should have turned right at the fork in the path but we didn't. At the end of the path we followed the river bank and spotted some rocks in the creek and figured that was the bridge for sure, so we b-lined it for those. But soon realised my rookie mistake and turned 180 degrees for the climb back up the bank.
My daughter came up trumps on this one but it was a little too deep for her to reach.
With the formalities out of the way, we returned to the car on the more boring path.
Thanks again for the fun Gur

So today was down to the Gold Coast today for a Community Celebration event and grab some local caches.
I found 10 at the Gold Coast. 4 kayaking ones and then we did a group attack and found 6 more before I headed home.
In the group was Snickersallen, chamad, Davinells, Peppa and Beardman75.
Then checking challenge caches I found one more I qualify for.
So that make 11 for today. The breakdown is 9 traditional, event and one mystery. Yippee

Sorry for the generic log.

I was a last minute inclusion into the group for the day’s event, with Peppa, Beardman75, Snickersallan and Davinells. What an awesome day just the same, I had no idea where we were going or what we were doing, but it was fun. There was a plan with some butterflies caught along the way; it was a well-organised team assault on all the caches around nerang, all played out by the well-calculated master of the ring. I had a great day, thanks for including me.
We parked up and piled into one car for our drive around.
This was a nice walk around and an easy find here. We signed the log, replaced all as found and then continued too our next cache in the area or our next target cache. Thanks for placing this one here.

Lovely to have good company to find some local caches that I had been saving for a rainy day.
This is a beautiful part of Nerang and a very pleasant walk across the troll bridge where the cache was found without any dramas.

Thanks GurTheWanderer for another good hide on this river walk.

Down on the Gold Coast today and after a very windy paddle for the event on Wave break island, we decided to steer clear of the water and headed to Nerang for some targeted and not so targeted caching.

We followed the path around and crossed the bridge, looking out for trolls underneath. All safe today and the cache was quickly located. Tftc GurTheWanderer

The troll bridge was certainly very impressive. Not sure if it's quite so impressive as a feat of engineering though. Thanks GurTheWanderer and happy caching

Yayy we found it this time, such a great spot

14-Aug-22
Found a cave with a little bridge thing on it followed look inside a stump and found it. Took us a little while.

Could not see any bridge haha, was definitely in the right place though. The footpath came to an end, surrounded by the bush and a big garden bed with saplings planted, walked all around but couldn't find the bridge or the cache

Great spot for a cache. Came from the uphill side and it took me longer than it should have for a fairly simple hide. Thanks for putting this series out there

At a recent get together to paddle Hays Inlet, one of the participants mentioned making their next HUGE milestone a unique cache type during the Mega in Townsville…Well if that didn’t plant a little seed that sees me trying to get a couple of hundred caches in two weeks so I can make my little milestone something unique too…

I’m cruising the backstreets of Nerang collecting caches and Adventures…

This was a challenge as my map doesn’t show any of these parks and more importantly the access points… so I was thankful for the Parking Waypoint…

I headed towards Weber Park - River Forest first, but a deep watercourse that I wasn’t prepared for turned me around and this was the next stop…

Following the path around I was soon at GZ gingerly making my way across the wetness… Geepers initially pulled me up short, but after consulting the hint I made my way to the obvious feature and leaned over… and in…

It’s been ages since reezielou and I have had a caching adventure and we had planned one for today to finish reaching the peak. Saw these new caches published last night so an early start was agreed upon to see if we could nab a [FTF]!
Parked at the parking waypoint and made our way down to GZ where a nice clean log book was located! Yes!! Thanks for the cache GUR, great start to our day!

Krcamber and I had planned to do some caches today to reach the peak, and then the alerts came through last night of some new caches not far from home. A change of plans to see if we could get a FTF.
Arriving early it was a nice easy stroll across the bridge and then to GZ, a quick find was made, and we were pleased to see a nice clean log. [FTF] with krcamber. Tftc
