This ended up being such a busy wee intersection when we were here. I think everyone had hoped to get out between the rain showers today and stretch there and there dogs legs! Untimatly we were doing the same - stretching the kids legs.Miss 5 was busy looking at her chest height - when I reminded her that it was adult chest heaight. but even on me it was more like my eye line - haha. There was a great dragon treasure in here which we traded a prized keyring for since it felt it was worth more than a standard wee toy.Log was dry and cache was well hidden and we popped it back as foundTFTC

Found this a while back and it's on my list of caches to log. Can't remember the exact date, but I think this is the cache I found a vape in - needless to say that went away with me and into the rubbish. TFTC!!!

I don't restart work again until the 8th of Jan. With free accommodation I decided a geocaching holiday in Auckland was a good way to spend this week off. Most of the week I geocached with Yvettetb but the beginning and end I was on my own. Tuesdays focus area was around the Orakei Basin area and Saint John's. Wednesday we ended up caching in the Waitakeries and finished up in Glen Eden, New Lynn and Waterview. Thursday we geocached around Blockhouse Bay, Green Bay and Titirangi. Yesterday we decided to finish off a few out here before Yvettetb had to leave. I then cached around the Panmure Basin and the new subdivision Stonefields. Today I was alone and walked the cycle trail between Waterview and Te Atatu. It was a bit of a damp morning. I out did myself this week. I walked 27,000 steps on Tuesday, 22,406 on Wednesday, 25,500 on Thursday, 15,000 on Friday and 23,800 on Saturday. A big geocaching/walking week. I'd done all I wanted today on the cycle trail today so filled in time caching here before heading back to Whangarei for dinner with the family. I mostly targeted the Blues Clues AdLabs as I'd watched this series years ago on TV with my kids. I'd also done some of the puzzle series out here years ago too. I actually walked past this cache to do the AdLab without collecting it. Instead of walking back I drove round to Quiet Street and quietly snuck down and found it. Thanks for another of your hides Supernanny Smile

01-Jan-24
We had this trip planned some time ago, but the stars didn't quite align, so we were here today for the return visit.....Caching today with SEAC members, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, NZTravellers, Laval, and NurseDr, all on bikes of some description...after a late/early seeing in the New Year, I had to cheat with the use of the e-bike...and it truly made the adventure enjoyably easy. The plan was to head out to Westgate from Tui Glen Reserve, and back to attend an event.....Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space. Thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance.TFTC.Razz

Day 2: The Northwestern TrailOur second day in Auckland was shaping up to be another wet and sordid one, but I was hardly going to let the early summer weather rain on my parade. So, after dropping my sister off at United, I was dropped off at Te Atat South to begin my adventure for today. Despite being a power trail, there was such a great variety of caches, that it really didnt feel like one at all. Despite passing showers, I thoroughly enjoyed the effort put into the construction and camouflaged. Thanks for everything - this is why one of the reasons why I keep returning to NZ for geocaching!(End of cut and paste bit)Specific log for this cache: What an interesting name for a street - the only thing more apt would be to set up a little library here. Cache was found very easily along the walk up the lovely Henderson Creek while playing some Blues Clues. All good here, TFTC!

23-Oct-22
My first find! Thanks

15-Oct-22
Today I was on a mission to sign off the "one thousand points of light challenge " cache, which we now qualified for.
So, I thought why not start my journey from where we were parked at the NZMCA park in Henderson, and go via a long walk/cycleway full of caches, to meet mr rattll at the carpark opposite MOTAT.
If it had been a weekday, I would have taken the bike, but as its a Saturday, I figured there would be masses of muggles on this walkway, so opted to walk as it would be less obvious stopping all of the time. I wasn't wrong about the muggles. The place was swarming with them.

Lots of muggles coming and going here, so had to time things well.
Thanks for putting this here

Found while doing the Blue's Clues Ad Lab. I left the path too early and was searching in the wrong place at first, but soon corrected and spotted it. Nice size container with room for lots of SWAG, although a little empty today and I didn't have any on me. All fine and dry though!

Thank you for placing it Smile (#1617)

23-Jan-22
FINALLY we get to attend the MEGA. Attending as part of Team BoP. We have a load of solved puzzles and whilst we are concentrating on those, won’t pass up on trads either. This is day two of our great weekend.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Out with a few of the "Team Seac" crew to do the Mega adventure lab. Caches signed as "Seac" or similar to save room on log sheets.

Enjoyed this little walkway. Quick find by Mr NZtravellers.

23-Jan-22
Like pretty much everyone else who logged this today, I was out completing the TOTT Adventure Lab Cache for the Mega this weekend. It was indeed an easy find as I spotted it (and a fellow geocacher) easily on approach. We both guess the correct location from afar, had a nice chat and then went our opposite ways. Thanks for this one!

23-Jan-22
Team SEAC decided that we should attempt the Adevnture Lab in the area setup for the MEGA 2020.

While we were searching all the lab points we passed this cache and thought it rude not to find and log this.

Easy find all good.

TFTC

23-Jan-22
Out and about for a spot of geocaching late this afternoon targeting the nearby (temporary) mega adventure lab. Indeed, I found this one while I was still in the midst of doing the ad lab. The GPSr took me to a likely looking spot where I found the cache in the very first spot I checked. Cheers for the cache placement!
