So wet here. A few hours to spend in Arrowtown this morning. In the company of McLookers. Lucky she has the wading boots!!
AS the day improved we thought we should take advantage of the sun and head out to Lake Hayes and locate the three caches here . we found all three and even were the first to sign the log on the new cache there called Dont eat me ! Areal bonus for us ! This would be a lovely spot on a warm sunny day in summer although the water would still be rather chilly . thank you for these caches here . all was well with the caches .
As we headed to the cache we spotted a couple of Hobbits and Gandalf heading to the lake for a selfie. We kept an eye out for Orcs but only found the cache
This isn't the first cache we've found in this reserve. Nice and quiet here today despite lots of cars in the car park. TFTC.

Thanks for the cache ! The trick is to find the right tree Unfortunately we are unable to write because the paper is so wet, maybe it needs some maintenance !
I understand why this is a favourated spot. The log was soked. Blessed be the inventor of waterproof paper!
Miss em and I biked around lake Hayes today with some Shotover kids and introduced them to geo caching. We stopped for a picnic and saw goslings, ducklings, geese, ducks and an Indian Runner. The last time I visited the cache access was under water but today all dry. TFTC
Nice quick find to wrap up the lake Hayes loop. Will have to come back with a picnic at some point
Dropped into Lake Hayes today to get the classic mirror shots - it was very flat. Also a nice handy cache. Thanks for the hide.
After our bike ride around the lake this morning (superb views with autumn colours at their best) we picked up this cache and another nearby before moving on. This one was a quick find. #6144. TFTC.
Lots of geese & ducks to be seen around here, but no need to disturb them as we headed to GZ. Quickly spotted this one, thanks.
Out and about enjoying the hidden gems of our country. After coming back from 10 days in Australia, spent the night in Kingston with AnnieLin, DownSouthInv and AbbyKitt celebrating birthdays. Did some stops on way home to get yellow smiley's

Feels like I should take an extra point for difficulty - after the rains you need to get your feet wet to get this one! TFTC!
