Was happy for the long search here as the coffee shop didn't open till 10am

Pretty sure we had the right numbers and checksum agreed but no find for us in the likely hiding spot.

It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. As I meander my way home from Wanganui to Wellington, via the outskirts of Feilding and Palmy, I found a bunch of Geocaches, and this was one of them. One of three Multi's I attempted in the Kimbolton area, and the only one I was able to successfully complete and find the cache. There was a little bit of water in the container, but nothing to worry about.---Thanks to geodatum for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge

Lovely spots to visit, and no one around! TFTC!!

I decided to spend a few days in Kimbolton as it's been a while since I was last here, and the lab cache series will keep the souvenir 'streak' ticking over.
Despite the forecast saying I'd have a couple of days of sunshine, it was drizzly, blowing a gale and bitterly cold today, so I rugged up warm and headed out for a wander.
I had no problems at all getting the numbers to work and went straight to the prize at the final.
As mentioned before, the log is wet Despite the double container, but not an issue with the water proof paper ( as long as my name doesn't wipe off).
Thanks for setting this up

An enjoyable explore around Kimbolton - thanks for placing. Unfortunately even though the log was in double containers it was still very wet. Thanks to waterproof paper though, a good wipe made it usable.

This was a great morning run for me while staying in Kimbolton. Had to bring the kids back to find it after I completely missed it. They found it easy

In Kimbolton area to do the Adventure Lab, Virtual and this multi. Straightforward coordinates for a quick find. Favorite point from me. Thanks geodatum for this multi cache.

We headed out here to clean up a few caches and complete the Ad Lad here. This multi cache was quickly sorted with a quick trip around this quaint little area. Thankfully no errors in our calculations and the final was a quick find. TFTMC

We were in the area today to collect the S.H.I.E.L.D. series and any other caches we could find along the way. We enjoyed exploring the area to complete this multi and made a quick find at the final once we corrected a wee error in our calculations.

25-Dec-22
Based ourselves nearby for a few days to complete some of the local cache trails.
Completing 3 multis and an Ad Lab at the same time can be a little confusing but we got there in the end TFTC.

Our last few days in Palmy so keen to get out and clear some newish caches around Kimbolton. Enjoyed collected the numbers and viewing some of the sculptures nearby. No problems with the find. I like a cache and adventure lab that brings you to a cafe. Great way to reward oneself for the hard mornings work! Thanks geodatum for the smiley.

We set out mid morning to locate a few of the newer caches up this way as well as the labs in this wider area . the weather was extreme;y kind to us as we did wonder if we would get some rain but while we had lunch at the cafe here the thunder started and the sky grew very black but apart from some large drops of rain at Kimbolton the really stuff seemed to stay away in the east . we felt these heavy spots as we went to the final of this multi and hurried back to the car expecting the real rain to start but it stayed away . this was a nice re visit to the lovely spots around Kimbolton esp Heritage gardens which at this time of the year - they look just so glorious . thank you for giving us an excuse to travel up here once more and enjoy a lovely lunch at the cafe .

Thanks for the great walk around kimbolton and the cache. It had fallen out of its hiding place and is a little wet on the inside

With (Mr) Davidson Clan and Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a boy’s weekend roadtrip south.

We probably worked this one backwards… We find it an inconvenience to navigate between the caching and Adventure platforms. We did the Ad Lab first, then focused on this hide. Luckily, most of the waypoint questions were answerable without having to backtrack. Thanks geodatum and TFTC.

enjoyed our early morning visit to Kimbolton again.
no troubles getting answers for this multi.

Thank you geodatum for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon visit to Kimbolton, collecting your Adventure Lab, your Virtual and this multi - a good haul! The multi was well thought out and straight forward to complete with the final hide being well done with spot on coordinates. The town continues to look very well cared for and it was a pleasure to spend time here.

Unfortunately we didn't find Kimbolton at its finest, as this was a horrendously wet day. But we still managed to gather all the clues, and be reinforced by a hot coffee from the excellent local cafe. TFTC geodatum!

6 February 2022 13:23. Found in the company of BFG &,D on a very wet day, I was soaked to the skin by this point. Tftc geodatum, for encouraging us to explore.

Gathered the clues along with the Adventure Lab stages, on a drizzly day (wet weekend). Quick find, nice multi, thanks geodatum!

First stop off here after doing the nearby Ad Lab and gathering the Multi details as I headed around the village. I'd kind of guessed where the final might be, and was pleased when I found the cache as per the accurate coordinates. T F T C (just the one Megan!)

After my big day out to Taranaki region yesterday it was a more sedate plan to head out for some 'local' cache treats, some of the S.H.I.E.L.D series over the other side from my last onslaught some 18 months ago. A pleasing haul of 26 caches was made, just the one non-watcache was found, thanks to tat CO and geodatum. Nice to be back in the area where we lived for 5 years before we headed to Blenheim, then latterly Auckland. Was a hot day but kept cool enough with the windows cranked down and on the dusty tracks and trails. Got my Unknown cache title past the seemingly impossible (or so I once believed) total of 1800 today too, so a Project-GC badge upgrade is coming too. I only made notes on the first few finds, then the last few so apologies for most of the cut and paste.

#12,752. Third team to find. Enjoyed cruising around Kimbolton Road, Edwards Street and Haggerty Street in Kimbolton. No problem to get the information to determine the coordinates for the final. Glad that the check sum agreed. Final GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Thanks for the multi and placement, and for bringing us to all these sites, and …

Out caching with watcache and xsaveya. Nice quick find here we were very quiet due to muggles near by

Out in this area for a couple of days, and as the grand kids had come for the day to see what all the fuss was about ,they tagged along with us.
We started gathering some of information yesterday for the ad lab with the caravan on but that was going to become a bit of a mission so we dropped that off and came back today so revisited some of the required areas then headed north ,then headed back into town to gather the final info and claim this find.
On approach to gz we ran into the same issue that phronimus had and we were going quietly bit hard when you are nearing the prize.

Log signed and replaced as found, thanks for the placement and the smiley.

Good multi. Easy find at gz

15:10 I'll claim {FTF} with Maggie the geohound. I'd just sat down with a coffee when I noticed two new email notifications. OK. Don't know how long ago as my phone was on silent but WTH, worth a go. Especially as I'd just had a new geocache published myself this morning. 2022 - the Year of the Hiders. So now Maggie and I am sitting outside at Hansen's out of the hot sun with another coffee and water.
Plenty of barking at GZ by dog that thinks we're invading her property, but confirmed by dog's owner cache is not on her property. But be aware the dog will alarm the owner.

05-Jan-22
Re the FTF log: we have visited GZ several times and have never had any dog response from the neighbouring property. Maybe it sensed the presence of Maggie today!

Also the cache is certainly not on private property. It is in a public area.
