Completed the AL, then after attending a nearby CITO, tried to find this one. No doubt its still there but I could not find it today.

26-Oct-24
Returned with a much appreciated hint from the CO and managed to find it fairly easy this time. Thanks for the fun AL through the botanic gardens and a bonus cache to finish it off!

A terrific little hide to complete a terrific little tour, loved it. Geelong Botanic Gardens - Bonus Cache is find number 4,225 for me. A fun micro sized mystery cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Greater Geelong City. I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Sunday 20 Oct 2024 at 11:04 am and the weather is Few Clouds 18C 67% 4 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy suscoe.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

We would of looked strange walking round and round but my geohubby had the sharp eyes!!! Signed fresh log. Enjoying our wonder around these gardens!

Found by The Empire + HContinuing towards the Geelong Botanic Gardens, the atmosphere shifts to tranquility. Entering the gardens, you're greeted by meticulously maintained lawns, diverse plant collections, and towering trees providing shade. The gardens are peaceful, with quiet pathways winding through beds of native and exotic species. We enjoyed a relaxing break with coffee and pastries at the garden cafe. The warm coffee and freshly baked treats perfectly complemented the tranquil surroundings, making it a lovely spot to pause and recharge before continuing our walk through the beautiful gardens. Another lovely wander around, thanks for cache, and the adventure suscoe.-M

Just realised I havent logged this one yet when I was preparing a list of more caches to get around Geelong. This one took a while to get, such a big area to cover. It was kind of busy being a lovely mid winter day so quite a few cars passing nearby. Thankfully I had my youngest child with me so we looked like we were just playing around the tree. Kids are such handy TOTT! TFTC

08-Jun-24
A great little adlab - not too far to wander and a nice intro to the Botanic Gardens. In between completing the adlab and searching for this bonus cache, I stopped for a bite to eat at the small cafe, where there was also a man with two ferrets, taking them for a walk. Of course. Cache did not take too long to find - TFTC!

20-May-24
We enjoyed our walk around the park completing this lab.

07-May-24
After a late lunch snack and a quick whirl around the Gardens for the AdLab, we crossed over to GZ and started casting a methodical eye over things at the right height. Found the little blighter, contents in good nick. Returned as found and made a bee line back to camp at Portarlington, filling up with cheap diesel as we went. TFTC (and your A.L.) suscoe.

17-Mar-24
Enjoyed the AbLab and found after a systemic waist height search. A lovely juggle asked if I was alright. Love the caring community! TFTC and SL at 17:30pm.

25-Feb-24
TwoEms have a younger geo-brother turned muggle for today, who asked last night if we wanted to come on an adventure riding the trains from Melbourne all the way to Geelong. Since 4+ hours of public transport and 30+ degrees of sunshine didnt fare well with us, we agreed to drive to his destination and meet up with him there. So after brother woke up like a beaver at 4am to start his epic journey at 6am, we piled out of bed at 7am, slow and steadylike Aesopss tortoisesto catch up to him.We met for breakfast in Geelong and then made our way to a flea market, before we had to spilt up our energies. We two Ms are a little brokenmore than we should be for our agesand could not keep up with brothers high-charged enthusiasm. So while brother continued his adventure along the bay shore, we settled for a quiet stroll through the botanic gardens. Our wonderful guide was suscoes adventure lab, andapart from a detour to the greenhouse, and meeting a scarecrow showing off his giant pumpkins and sunflowerswe faithfully completed the sequential tour before heading off to look for the bonus. It took us awhile to locate the reward. Our GPS was making us dance, but after reading some logs to confirm that we were in the right spotand not going madwe put away our devices and tasked ourselves with a more systematic search. We must have circled more than 3+ times, until something at hint height caught one of our eyes; but when we placed our hand on it, and gently tried to pick it up, it was too attached and would not move. The moment we realised this was just an oddity of nature and our found it had been dashed, is just when we spied the true shiny only a few centimeters away. With new found energy, we met up with brother and half a dozen doughnuts and ended our day along the boardwalk near Griffin Gully Pier; lying back on the grass with sweet memories and looking out towards the bay.Thank you for the cacheand for making our first exploration of Geelong a pleasure.

23-Feb-24
A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache suscoe.**SKI Pair****

Yep nearly took as long to find as it did to do the AdLab!Absolutely loved walking through these beautiful gardens and this glorious day. Have loved the myriad of caching adventures on my Geelong trip. Thanks so much suscoe for creating the AdLab and this bonus cache - always like to have bonus as part of an AdLab Regards kbucky

03-Dec-23
Nice stroll around the Ad Lab WPs and a walk to this final GZ afterwards. Took a while but got there in the end. FP for the fun. After the rain in Melbourne yesterday, for our wedding anniversary, we were keen to stretch our legs, and horizons. I trip to Geelong was mooted, the train ride was cheap and nearby and the wee seaside town seemed to have some charm. IN addition its my birthday so a little amount of caching was factored in. We managed a few Virtuals, a 'few' Ad Lab stages based around bollards, quel surpris, and some other random others. Big thanks to all COs for their accommodating placements.

02-Dec-23
Find # 13173In Geelong for the Christmas events.I'd been here before with sharkiefan, but we only had a brief search for this bonus. Today good friend 6Hinemoa2 decided to come with me, from the morning event, to show me its where-a-bouts... well we had a good laugh as we still couldn't find it but after reading her notes and getting our bearings right I soon spied the little blighter. Think the tree is in good health as the limbs are lifting a bit. Cache was more waist height than what others had mentioned. But glad to have another bonus cache found from an ad lab finished a few months back. TFTC suscoe

01-Nov-23
After I completed the adventure I went to look after this one. And boy did I looked. But in the end the smiley was mine. Thank you for this cache.

28-Oct-23
Completed the nearby adlab and ventured to add our name to the bonus cache. We were slapping at mozzies but soon had the cache in hand, signed and returned. TFTC

26-Oct-23
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #8 - A 36,500 step walk around Geelong. Mainly concentrating on Labs today but I had to grab the bonus cache whilst passing. A very considerate clue here as it changed what could have been a very long search into at least a moderate one. Loved this lab as I do any I Botanic Gardens walks. Thanks from D B-A

09-Aug-23
TFTC took so long to find! I was about to give up but as I’d had a DNF on the multi in the gardens I decided to keep going. Found from outside looking in

26-Jul-23
I had forgotten that there was a bonus cache for this one, but having unsuccessfully searched for a multi in the gardens tonight before the gates were due to be locked, I looked on the map for an alternative option. After 20 minutes of searching up down and around the GZ, the cache was located & log signed. Thanks for the cache & lab!

23-Jul-23
Was out caching with Findingeocaches101 and did the adventure lane so we supposed we would do this

Findingeocaches101 ended up spotting it and signed it

Next stop on my way around the area after attending the nearby CITO. Another AL completed on my last visit to Geelong and today was the day for the bonus. Took a few minutes to spot the well hidden cache, however all was good and my name was soon on the log sheet.

Thanks suscoe....neat little hide here. Cache all good.

02-May-23
Suscoe dropped by here this morning.
We have popped a new container and fresh log at GZ.

30-Apr-23
Out for a walk on a beautiful sunny day. So we thought we would do some adventure labs. We always enjoy walking in the botanic gardens. The log here was very wet and could use some maintanence. TFTC

20-Apr-23
Quick find. Log wet

10-Apr-23
Thanks for the cache! Found with Chakram and legocacher79 after the AL. It was so hard to find but eventually Chakram found it.

10-Apr-23
Found the adventure lab and thought we'd do the bonus as well... took for ages to find it, thankfully Chakram did and one for smiley in Geelong. Thanks for the cache.

09-Apr-23
Completed the nearby adventure lab awhile ago and finally got around to looking for the bonus cache. Some mozzie repellent would have been handy. Eventually located the cache. TFTC

01-Apr-23
I found this cache as I slowly made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Rutherglen.

Today was spent doing some caches of interest around Geelong, including this one.

After completing the associated Adventure Labs, it was off to find the bonus cache.

This one took me a little bit to find this afternoon, but I got there in the end. Interesting though that the last entry in the logbook was by Sunset62 and Mischief18 in February - no sign of TeamAstro’s name in the logbook, who claims to have found it this morning!

Thanks suscoe for the Adventure Labs and the bonus cache.

01-Apr-23

It was just on dusk as I finished the lab so I left this for today. I knew these hides! The gardens are so beautiful. Thanks for all the effort here.

Found out and about on the 2023 trip for the Rutherglen Mega. Thanks to suscoe and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

10-Feb-23
Loved the wander through the Botanic Gardens .... well hidden bonus cache - many thanks for placing this one.

10-Feb-23
I enjoyed the wander around the Botanic Gardens today and found this bonus cache right where it should have been- very well hidden. TFTC

01-Feb-23
After visiting here a couple of times I reached out to a caching friend and asked them for a hint. Even with that hint it still took me a little while to find the cache. I can’t believe how well hidden it is, it just blends in. I came prepared this time with lots of mosquito repellent on but they are still rampant.
When I opened the cache container I noticed the log was a bit damp and it looks like the o-ring has broken. Maybe that’s why the log is getting wet? Asides from that the cache and contents are in good condition. I happily signed the log and put it back, avoiding all the spider webs with their leaves and spiders. At least the spiders look all snuggly rugged up in their leaves! Sometimes maybe it’s better not to look too closely at things. TFTC

17-Jan-23
Thanks to a poke in the right direction we made the find here today.

After checkout from our 3 day weekend stay we came here to amend our DNF from yesterday.

GeoLady dared me to drive up to GZ in the Ute which I did of course.

Now back to the trudge that is our ordinary lives. For now….. ha

16-Jan-23
Only managed a short search of the area today as the mozzies were unbearable. I’m sure it’s there but it wasn’t located by us today. Next time.

09-Jan-23
Lovely AL, this was an area I hadn’t been to before and it was stunning. Loved the little library on the way too. All answers were very straight forward. Took a couple of minutes to spot the well hidden cache. Not too many mozzies today but did get bitten a couple of times. TFTC!

03-Jan-23
I couldnt find this on my first attempt, but had better luck after I reached out (begged Wink ) to a previous finder for a hint. Nice AL

01-Jan-23
Huzzah! The first find of 2023! I had to battle my way past the piles of trash along the Foreshore, but I made it!
Thanks heaps for a cool Ad Lab, and a tricksy bonus!

25-Dec-22
Found with Bogonghazy. Thanks for placing the geocache

25-Dec-22
Found today with LittleBoss2 along with a heap of amazing lab caches highlighting how beautiful Geelong is and clearly how proud locals are with this eclectic area. Thanks again Ross and Sue, fave added

22-Dec-22
Finally found this one after help from the Co. met another cacher there and between us we found it. Tftc and the Lab. Favourite point from me

22-Dec-22
I thought this would be my fourth DNF today out of 9 searches! But then somebody turned up who had looked yesterday and had a little bit more information, and with that, I spotted it

18-Dec-22
Found this one earlier in between events! The mosquitoes were crazy today! Beautiful area!

17:42
I parked in the street above where today's festivities began, and went for a walk around Eastern Park.

The Botanic Gardens feature in no less than three of the Lab Adventures I completed, but this was the first I finished... As I trotted out, a couple I'd passed on my way in commented on how fast I walked, as I'd caught them again just before the exit. Two years of iso walking would do it.

I think a couple of recent finders have put enough in their logs about the voracious hordes at the cache's hiding spot. I came away relatively unscathed. With a smiley.

Thanks, suscoe. I'll revisit for a more leisurely experience next time.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 11: Drop of Bushfire. Don't stop caching. Surprised

Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. Wink We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we left our digs in Craigieburn and headed to back to Geelong to drop off Bushfire. Razz That done we spent the rest of the day juggling the phone and GPS doing Adventure Labs and any caches we came close to. Big Grin Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs. Cool

We go to the first lab and got swamped by mozzies. [B)] Back to the car and doused in insect repellant. [^] Back to finish the labs and then off to GZ. Despite the toxic domes around us the mozzies here were even worse and had a kamikaze intent. SurprisedTwisted We eventually spied the hide and retreated to so open and more windy ground. Smile FP from me despite the mozzies.

***Thanks suscoe for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.
This area had seen a lot of rain, all the grass was wet and some areas of flooding, mainly on the sides of the roads.
Enjoyed the adventure Lab and pleased to get this bonus!

*Thank you for helping to show us around different areas and adding to our enjoyment*

Found by Rebel Acts.

Out and about with Omegaman1971 on another Sunday caching adventure, today our plan was to do the labs from Altona to Geelong it was a long day but thankfully the weather was finally dry and sunny, lots of laughs along the way and some frustration on a couple of labs but we got them all sorted eventually.

This is one of the caches found today. Woops I actually found this already but forgot to log it.

Thanks suscoe for the lab and bonus cache, I always love Botanic gardens.

06-Nov-22
Out and about with Rebel Acts in Geelong for some Adventure lab madness, great day of caching with heaps of laughter.

Cheers for the cache

Beautiful day to visit Botanic Garden.
Enjoy walk around here.
Nice find at the end.
Thanks for AL

29-Oct-22
Found this one at 15:25 after a very pleasant stroll around the gardens on this gloomy old Saturday afternoon. It took a few moments to home in on the prize but a peek at the hint Red Face eventually had me with the stash in hand.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks suscoe.

26-Oct-22
Stayed overnight at Geelong from Melbourne for an exploration. I enjoyed walking around the botanic gardens were so absolutely lovely native plant and flowers. Found it straight away. Thanks suscoe for bringing me here and the A/L

20-Oct-22
Thanks for setting up this lab cache series. I enjoyed my walk around the botanic gardens so much yesterday I came back today with my family. On the way back from town this afternoon I decided to complete the series with the final. A quick look over the coordinates didn’t yield anything. I doubted that i had entered the coordinates right a quick recheck. Then approaching from a different angle and I soon had the prize

FIND 100 for us A second attempt at this one, searched from a different perspective this time - didn’t stop those monster mozzies from chasing us down. We always enjoy a wander around Eastern Park. TFTC

22-Sep-22
Us and the mozzies looked for a little while here before eventually finding it. Lovely gardens to walk around on a nice day. TFTC

04-Sep-22
Whiling away some time in between visits to my daughter and our new granddaughter, a short AL for the non caching geo missus was just the ticket. But we were very pleased with what it showed us and that it was so easily walkable on this very cold and windy day.
The location of the bonus was of course, very handy to where we parked, so I left the muggle in the car while I ventured into the surrounding territory. Had a pretty good idea of what to look for, but nonetheless took a little while to track down.

We had ventured here yesterday but were too late. I have been here before but it was a very very long time ago so it was great to visit again.
We took a lovely stroll around, admiring the grounds as we went.
This is a great place for an ad lab.
Can't say that the final was as easy to find as the answers but OHC didn't take too long.
Thanks you for taking us there and for placing this bonus.

14-Aug-22
Love the gardens here,so it was a bonus to find a cache after the beautiful Adventure Lab. Thank you, even the yes outside the gates are stunning specimens

14-Aug-22
Day two of our weekend road trip to Geelong, starting with a MEGA Lead-Up event (see bottom of this log), then finding a number of trads, multis, solved puzzles and AdLabs.
We had to rush through the gardens as it was getting close to closing time. Must come back another time, to enjoy the gardens at a slower pace.
Cache was hard to spot at gz, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, suscoe

Headed down to Geelong today to do the Eastern Gardens Parkrun and to attend the maccamob 50th anniversary event.

After the run, I had a bit of a stroll around the botanic gardens to complete the AL as well as the bonus. What an interesting little park. Cache did take quite some time to locate but got there in the end.

Massive thanks go to suscoe for placing this one.

These gardens are wonderful. Completed the LAB a while ago, so on the way home I thought I would collect this one.
Took the geo-dance as I seem to do these days and after a while 'alert' eyes to spotted it. Happily signed the sheet and moved off to the car to head home.
Thanks for the fun and your effort suscoe

It was a a beautiful winter afternoon to visit the Geelong Botanical Gardens. We had some time to spare so went for a wander. Very quiet here. Felt like had the place to ourselves. I'm sure on some afternoons you would. The cabin no longer has books in it, that used to be fun. However lots to explore and see here. Did expect the final to be tricky and indeed it was. A FP from me for taking me back here and again see some things I hadn't properly looked at before.

Finally got back to this one and required some searching but soon narrowed it down and had this little guy in hand.

We had completed the Adventure Lab some time ago and had done a cursory search for this cache but had limited time to search at the time.

Mrs Dromaniax needed to take a couple of follow-up photos at the Botanical Gardens, so we decided to make enough time to look for this cache today.

The Botanical Gardens are always a pleasure to visit, and today was no exception. The photos were taken, and now the assignment can be completed.

Then onto finding the cache. We had talked about this with a couple of caching friends, and we soon had the cache in hand.

The cache is in great condition. Thank you for a great Adventure Lab and the Bonus cache, suscoe.

A Favorite Point from us for the most enjoyable Adventure Lab and this Bonus Cache.

The rain has stopped for a day or two, so I grabbed the deadly treadly and headed off to do some AdLabs in Geelong Town. Collected a couple of Bonus's and a few virtual's that I rode past.

A lovely walk around the gardens, and a quick find at GZ,
Lovely smell of pine all around.
Thanks, Robmc.

I completed the fantastic AL on another trip. This morning on the way to parkrun, we stopped by and made the find of the well concealed bison. Thanks suscoe.

A nice simple find, glad for the hint on this cold day.
TFTC and lovely Lab Cache which we really enjoyed.

30 puzzles in a month. This is number #1! After a rough start to May with a kidney stone putting me put of action I'm finally ready to start the challenge.... Drizzle and cold won't stop me today! Thanks for the lab cache and this bonus which I found without too much trouble, despite the phone refusing to give me the right location. Hint was helpful. The gardens are just beautiful. Tftc.

Out caching with the Flaggys and enjoyed a lovely walk through the botanical gardens while we completed the AL. Took us a little bit but we persisted and found it eventually!

After enjoying the AL walk through the gardens, I was expecting an easy find for the bonus. But no, there were too many possibilities! After messaging the CO, I got the confirmation that I was the right track, so I circumnavigated the area and found the tricky hide almost opposite where I'd concentrated my original search.
TFTC and the help, suscoe!

Magnificent gardens. I spent quite a long time here, wandering, smelling, contemplating the worlds from which these plants came. Sneaky cranes had me going for a bit - the more you look the more you find. Thanks for a lovely morning spent enjoying the gardens.
The cache: thank goodness for the hint. Still took me a while - no one around so it didn’t matter. Thanks for the AdLab and the cache Suscoe

This was my first real cache of the day and my GPS wasn't playing fair. I eventually found it, and then, and only then, did the mozzies start to attack. Are they trained to guard the cache?

Thanks to Suscoe for the Adlab series and for the bonus cache.

Out with thomo31, located after a quick call to CO who in the end didn’t need to give a further hint. Got eaten alive my mozzies! All in all a fun cache!

Found with teamashy. A great Lab cache wandering around the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Distracted by the coffee shop where we had to stop for a cuppa and lunch. A hint from the CO had us jumping around looking while some hungry mozzies tried to get us! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

Beautiful gardens. We enjoyed the wander here. The find took a lot longer but I finally spotted it.

Today I teamed up with Posums for a day of caching fun in Geelong. Lots of caches, laughs and fun. Thanks to all the cache owners who placed these fabulous containers for us to find.

Headed down to to Geelong for another day of laughs, fun and of course hopefully finding a few caches.
Geelong has put on another great day of weather for us to be out and about touring the town.
I was meeting up with GemmaSistema for the day and I was the designated driver and Gemma was the navigator and co pilot.
After finishing a section of the rail trail and the marathon around the Eastern Cemetery it was time for some more caches in the suburbs.
We headed to the Eastern Park and Botanical Garden to have a wander around to do the Lab caches here.
Enjoyed our walk around here visiting and collecting information and soon had a set of coords.
My cache blindness continued today on this type of cache as Gemma eventually spotted the hide.

Thanks suscoe TFTC.

I really enjoyed the gardens lab caches but once outside the final gave me issues.
Once I saw that maccamob rang for help I knew I would too.
Thankfully I got hold of the co who slightly redirected my search to good effect...obviously.
Many thanks suscoe
