On the trail with Snakepitters today to visit Hay Point area and collect a few caches Last day in the area before a fast trip home.TFTC

TFTC coral.sea.cat your cache Palm Tree Beach Access that we found today. We had moved from Mackay to Sabrina Showgrounds. After setting up cam and som lunch we headed out with Liz and Bruce towards Hay Point. We stopped for caches on the way and then did rhe run down the coast. A great afternoon out on the trail.Find Count: 20478

Hi there coral.sea.cat, we found your cache Palm Tree Beach Access today. Its day 19 of our geocaching trip to Mackay. We are definitely enjoying the country geocaches more than the city ones. So today were doing another rural cache run. We love a geocache that is easy to find. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. We were able to park close by. The both of us headed into the trees. Opps forgot the mossie spray. They eat us alive. Quickly signed log and headed back out. P. S. Still a great spot to check out .

After digging all around it we finally spotted it TFTC, surrounded by cicada shells

Easy find

For the record, first I try to find a cache without reading the cache note....

Out this morning with a plan. Hay Point, Salonika Beach and Louisa Bay. It was hot and humid, Mr D was my driver and sat with the doggies while I did the searching, which is not much fun on your own. The thought of snakes and spiders always in the back of my mind as I enter these beach side areas. However, we did manage 11 out of 16 (yes, I know that is 5 DNFs, but I may go back again sometime.

I am sure we have been here with our caravan back in 2017, just stop over for lunch - just over there. No cache here then.

Cache still in position. Description is fairly specific as to where to look, but maybe not everyone reads cache descriptions? I have updated coords slightly, and upgraded Difficulty rating, since some people are having trouble finding this one.

Mackay to Sarina
Having an overnight stay to find some of the caches in the Sarina & Hay Point area.
This was a good way to tour the are and we found a good variety of caches some in places we had not visited before.
There has been so many green ants along this beach front.
Thankyou coral.sea.cat for placing this cache.

oops it was this one, going back to edit the other now, Coordinates had us in a different spot, so after I took the long way, with everyone following, we read the hint and made the find.
