Hi there coral.sea.cat, we found your cache Half Tide Memorial today. Its day 19 of our geocaching trip to Mackay. We are definitely enjoying the country geocaches more than the city ones. So today were doing another rural cache run. Despite the recent DNF, we had no problems locating this little nano. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
Parked at the G.Z. and had the place to our selves ,after a bit of a surch, Jackie had cache in hand. The existing log was totally full replace the log. It's all good to go here again tftc
Log is full and wet, sorry we had no replacement log on us, looks like it has been cross threaded so maintainence needed TFTC
It was exciting to find but we didnt have a pen and there was no room to write on the paper
We have been able to explore the area and take in all the sights and sounds of the city. Despite the humidity, the weather has been quite pleasant and we have enjoyed our stay. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache coral.sea.cat.
It was hard to open the container: we got our pliers out of the car. Then we decided "it's also a nice brekkie spot"! After QOGM 2023 in Longreach, TBU went on a round trip via Mount Isa, Burketown, Karumba, Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands down to Innisfail to Townsville. Now we are heading towards South back home, still refreshing our memories and collecting smileys. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers on the way. Thanks for this cache,Coral.sea.cat
After having spent couple of weeks up North in Queensland, we are now heading back home - but still looking for smileys! We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc
Well camouflaged, beautiful spot, very grateful for Helen sharing her smoko as we enjoyed the view from the picnic table.
Out today to clear up a few DNFs from a few days ago, and round our numbers up to 6400 finds
No council workers here today. Quick find, sign and return. Thanks coral.sea.cat

Out this morning with a plan. Hay Point, Salonica Beach and Louisa Bay. It was hot and humid, Mr D was my driver and sat with the doggies while I did the searching, which is not much fun on your own. The thought of snakes and spiders always in the back of my mind as I enter these beach side areas. However, we did manage 11 out of 16 (yes, I know that is 5 DNFs, but I may go back again sometime.
Bloody council workers.
Parked with their nose pointing right at GZ, One setting up the brushcutter, the other, just sitting in the drivers seat - basically looking at GZ. Will attempt again before we leave.
The scroll inside was a little wet from the recent rain, i didn't pull it out incase it wouldn't go back inside. TFTC
Maintenance performed with WD40 and 2 pairs of pliers. Good for now, but will replace next time.
That was awesome. Without the hint I don’t think I would have found it! Thank you
Found and replaced.
Beautiful bench area.
Some locals around so didn’t stay too long.

Marg made the find here while I sorted out my directions, Oh my other south.
Log didn't wish to be signed but Ratdog got it out.
Log signed we listened to her stories of landcare at this beach and the need for signs on the forshore.
Nice area.

Found!! 8 from 8 for Hay Point today. Nice easy find, as the majority of today's have been. Couldn't sign log, too windy for mucking around with the nano log. But put it back safe and sound.
A quick find here today.
Not sure how long it will last with the nearby muggles enjoying some sun after a couple of days rain.
