On our first full day in Tasmania we headed for the Botanic Gardens and the surrounding Queens Domain on our geocache quest Cane across a plan of the memorial trail but number 53 seemed to be missing. However his plaque was at the coordinates and the information revealed the final. A quick find and a favourite point for this multi TFTC Budgietas
Thanks for a great cashe, took me a while to spot it! Had to approach from a few different angles
I couldnt resist doing this one whilst nearby for the Parkrun. Quickly collected the info and then we headed off to GZ. Thanks for highlighting this young man and his sacrifice, lest we forget. Really liked the clever hide at GZ. TFTC
Decided to spend the afternoon at the Queens Domain to get some Caches, only to find when I got there, that there was an event on at the Botanical Gardens. Bugger, well that rules out one cache and well for that matter a few others due to not being able to park anywhere. LOL never mind, I got a few in, then headed down to the Cenotaph before heading over the bridge to complete a multi that I started a while ago & ended up getting another three while I was over there.Thankyou very much for bringing me here. After obtaining the information, I went & sat on a seat nearby to solve and just contemplate what was around me before going for a short walk to GZ for a nice quick find. So again thankyou again, I had no idea this was up here.Below are the caches I did for the day. Ten in total bringing my overall finds to 247.GC3S5G4GC84PYYGC9N0D6GC9NHFJGC1TGVZGC29Y9WGC168BXGC3NXXZGC9P7HMGC4JXPJ
Really enjoyed finding this cache - thank you! Its a clever hide and the info in this multi is very interesting to me, I guess in part because my grandfather was a POW in WW2. Dencoxclan and I went and got this after the leap year Event at the Botty Gees. TFTC - very much appreciated!
I have been nearby to the starting point for this cache a lot over the past few months, but had never had enough time to go and get the numbers that I needed. A couple of weeks ago I managed to get the numbers that I needed, and then decided to leave the final until today as there was an event nearby and this cache would help for the souvenir. So after todays event Zozetta and I went to the final, where, after a short walk and waiting for some muggles and their dogs to pass, it was a quick find. Thanks for the cache Budgietas!
It's very moving reading just one of these. Such a terrible waste of life. An easy find after working out the clues on an evening walk in Hobart. Thanks.
At first we had the wrong co ordinates so had to go back and re check. Once we re calculated we found we had 2 numbers wrong (whoops!) And had a solution which seemed more likely. Cache was in hand rather quickly after that
Today we rode some borrowed bikes around Hobart to explore the area more and find some caches a bit further away from our hotel. Some interesting history and great views. Great way to exercise and celebrate a birthday. TFTC
TFTC. Cache and contents are in excellent condition. Quickly worked out the coordinates and a quick find was made at GZ.Now off to lunch.
Thanks for the quick replace. Found 0552 after a blustery ride over the Tasman Bridge heading for work. TFTC Thank you for your sacrifice Pvt Miller.Lest We Forget.
Sorry, came up empty handed on this one. Math good according to previous photo, cant find the rehidden container.
We had a good hunt for the cache but could not locate it. Thanks anyway for bringing us here.
Definitely found the area where it's supposed to be but after looking around for a while we couldn't find it
After a long search, trying to work out what kind of camo the last finder used I gave up. May paf and return if time! Anyway, TFTC which at least affords a lovely view!
My wife and I have flown down from Brisbane to Hobart for a short holiday to use up the last of our remaining flight credits collected during Covid. While my wife enjoyed a sleep in, I headed out on a rather chilly morning to find some geocaches on the eastern side of the river.
Travelling on foot I eventually made my way from Rosny, along the waterfront down to Bellerive where I caught a bus back in towards the city to meet up with my wife. The Cenotaph seemed a prominent enough feature that even my wife would find it hard not to navigate her way to. Having successfully rendezvoused we continued our walk into Queens Domain, with a visit to this cache along the way.
I had done some pre trip research and although I didn't have all the required information, I had enough to calculate a possible final location to within a reasonable search zone. Arriving at my suspected GZ, it matched the location reflected in a previous log photo. Quickly spotted the cache hide, although I'm not sure this is in the position it’s supposed to be, as I found it laying exposed on the ground. After signing the logbook I replaced it where found with a little camo to try and conceal it. TFTC

We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
Today was our sixth day of the trip and with the rainy forecast we donned our rain pants and rain coats for a day around Hobart, We started the day at the Botanical Gardens and then wandered around the CBD doing 3+ sets of Adventure Labs and a couple of Virtual caches.
Trying to find a good way back to the CBD we ended up passing this multi, even though the rain had picked backup we made the stop. Gathered the needed info and set off to the final GZ where we made a quick find. Thanks for a fun multi. tftc!!

Nice hide with great views, almost had me stumped, had trouble getting lid off but thanks to previous log entry found away
Enjoyed the walk around the park.
A nice multi.
And soon we had the cache in hand.
Thanks.

Went on a big walk with Net61 on our Geotour in Tasmania .
Here in a group of 11 from.NZ...really enjoying our time here....
All too short!.
After finding an easy trad up here we tackled this Multi!
It was good having two pairs of eyes to read the info and get the co ords!
Net61 went on ahead and soon found the ingenious hide here!

Find 16 of 21 on a full caching and walking day around Hobart. 22km walked, 29AdLabs, 3 DNFs.
All good here.

20:25 spotted the hide from a distance, but worried that I was going to have to walk away without signing the log, as I had some difficulty the cache itself. Thankfully it is not a screw top, and a nearby rock proved helpful!
Made the walk down to this one and had a read of the plaques around the area, really sad. A quick bit of maths and off to GZ, cache easily found ‘hanging’
Today Courtneyrose and I made our way from Hobart to Launceston after a few days south with a short detour to Richmond. A few caches along the way too.
Thanks for the cache

Visited Private John William Miller's memorial to gather the information to work out the coordinates and after a pleasant wander the cache was found.
Apologies for the late log! Visiting Hobart for the cricket and this was one of the non-playing days so I planned some walking and caching. Got the bus over from Bellerive for a long loop of Queens Domain and Cornelian Bay. Many thanks for the cache.
Had solved some time ago but with a little time to spare wandered through the area to GZ. Once there thought I knew where it was an lo and behold the cache appeared. Plenty of diggers to acknowledge in the park.

We solved this a while ago and only remembered today on our walk to the Botanical Gardens. TFTC
This was a fun little multi and a clever hide. Brisk but lovely afternoon for a walk on the domain. Thank you
Out geocaching with ahomburg and Earthbound Chief after a very early start. Who booked those tickets from Melbourne ??
After I did a dyslexic entry of the last three digits of east, things were not looking good. Until I was laughed at by the others. Okay, mistake corrected and Mazda, the trip mascot standard poodle, was soon at the cache!
Thanks for the caches and puzzles we have had a fun time solving, Budgietas!

Today we found Soldiers Memorial Avenue on our travels. We have flown in from Melbourne at stupid o’clock and this park was our first point of call. A quick find thanks to ahomburg
Thanks Budgietas for being part of our geocaching fun.
Thanks Budgietas for being part of our geocaching fun.
After a false start earlier this morning, I was able to glean some info from the CO who then changed the listing slightly as I found it ambiguous for one of the numbers.
Cache found quickly - in good condition and all OK.
Thanks for the cache Budgie!

Spent a good chunk of yesterday out geocaching down the Channel way so we were looking for a nice quick one for today. Found this one on the map and thought it would fit the criteria.
Headed up with the other half of peaches and the dog for a casual walk.
Quickly located the required information and set out looking for GZ. I had the dog so the other half of peaches had the phone and was in charge of navigating - always a worry. I can write that as they don’t read my logs!!!
Anywho, a very short time spent checking the wrong area before I took over the navigating and, after seeing we were about 5m off, turned around and quickly spotted what I thought was the cache. Sure enough it was and we were pleased to add our name to the logbook.
I’m surprised this one doesn’t have more favourite points. I always like caches that are hidden in full view of muggles.

Taking a small break after minor knee surgery last week, but I was out and about this morning with an hour or so to soak up.
After a quick stop at Dans, I made my way to the Domain, as I thought this multi would be a nice little stroll to test my knee and grab some fresh air on the rather nice Autumn morning.
Took a pic at WP1 and then took a nearby seat to scope out the info and calculate some coordinates.
After a few too many minutes in the sun, I was sauntering off at a slow hobble toward GZ, and on approach I spied a likely hide.
Yep, that was it, nice hide!
All's well at GZ.
Thanks Budgietas, for the multi, the walk and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

I don’t usually enjoy multi but this one was enjoyable. No paper so I had to remember numbers which is often fraught with danger! However all was good and found cache easily. Good cache construction TFTC
Thanks for the multi Budgietas.
RLD4963, the two GeoGSP's and I had spent the morning in the Orford area finding caches, and after arriving back in drizzly Hobart, we decided we could find a couple more whilst the weather wasn't too bad.
I have a great uncle with a plaque along Soldiers Walk, and I take the dogs for a walk up here from the Cenotaph fairly often - it's a lovely area. This was a nice quick multi, and a clever hide at GZ.

This was the main aim of the trip to Hobart today TFTC TNLN log dry a pleasant trip into the city centre, another day prior I took photo of plaque and did a mess of the maths so off home to sit down and work out properly, this time I got it right.
Whilst I attended the event on the day of listing, I didn't go searching on the day as then I would have needed another 19 finds.
Today I had some time on my hands and with my 7 day exile from the world over, I took the info and sat down on the nearby chair to calculate the coords. Unfortunately the coords I came up with were a little too far away and I needed to figure it out. I had a viable answer a whole minute further south (I realised my mistake when writing the log). I had a mosey over to the calculated GZ and worked out from the aerial photo roughly where I was meant to be looking (the GPS receiver on my phone is evidently kaput and during the search it had me in North Hobart and Howrah). Anyway, whilst I didn't home into the precise coordinates, I could see right where I needed to be, and spotted something from some distance that didn't belong and soon made the find. After retrieval I realised that I made it a lot harder than I needed to, so spent another 5 minutes replacing the whole part when just the small part would have done.

After attending [GC8K0RA] the night before, i was eager to grab this new Multicache after two finds earlier in the day some distance apart from each other.
Parked nearby the Listed Co-ords and did the sums then entered the numbers into the GPS and i was off to GZ.
Initially i was looking on the fence for the hanging bison then it quickly became apparent where i should be looking ha ha
Nice one, nicely made! A Favorite Point given for the creation and for our Fallen as well

I took off from the event for a second time so I could find this cache. Mr H kindly accompanied me so I wasn't a 'Nigel no-friends' A straight forward multi (you know I like a multi) thank you. At GZ the hide was obvious to a geocacher but not to everyday muggles who would have no interest.
Thanks Budgietas

While out and about today whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
While being at the event made this cache easy to get to, a straight forward multi, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Budgietas for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

This cache was published a short time before the Community Event this afternoon. So we headed off and found 63ROOS at the waypoint collecting the required information. Mrs whitewebbs arrived very shortly after. We confirmed our data collection and headed off to look for the cache. After hunting for about 15 minutes, we were empty handed. Mrs whitewebbs contacted the CO who came to the site. It turned out that there had been a typo in the cache description and once that was known, the well constructed cache was located very quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. As there were no signatures in the log, we will claim a joint {FTF} with 63ROOS and whitewebbs. Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

Hi Budgietas, after a very enjoyable event I wandered down to this little multi with geocaching royalty. I won't name names suffice to say it wasn't me . Very nice set-up at GZ and certainly looks well disguised from muggles eyes. Thanks for another hide heaps more to enjoy of yours
