Keeping my geocaching trips easy with nighttime finds. Four found last night. A short nap in my geomobile before another four finds very early today. I rather spend tonight with my family. Keeping my finds honest. Alas its a cold misty midnight with drizzles in upper Blue Mountains. First find of today. Will be back another time, daytime. TFTC jennyfromthefarm
Reperio 10:32We were headed home today from spending a few days in Sydney, and stopped by Katoomba. Having a muggle friend with me, I let him look around for the cache which I had spied from 50m away. He walked right by it, and when I pointed it out he replied with Are you serious? Yep sure am. He loved it.Gratias jennyfromthefarmAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Kind of glad I've found this type before. Quickly signed log and headed off to our next target. TFTC

Tftc. That starfish sure is sad. Think they would cheer up that red_ear_slider and I found the cache!
Found with Portstevo on our BM adventure, enjoyed scenic world this morning and Leura this arvo, decided to grab this one on our way back to Blackheath, tftc
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. W2d, wllp
Was wandering around for a while, thinkinh about where it could be. It wouldn't be this right ... ah, got it! Smart one, tftc!
These types of hides always make us smile! If you know, you know! ....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
Found as we spent the day sightseeing and enjoying the area, the youngest team member asked if he could drive and add hours to his Ls so we found a nice spot to pull over and just had to add this smile as we were here TFTC and the fun
Containers have been received . I will be headed here on Xmas eve on my way through to visit family for christmas!
The good news is that these containers have recently come back into stock and I have ordered some of them.Hoping to receive the order in the next 14 days, which will enable me to do maintenance around 24th December.
Sad fish will be resurrected. There is unfortunately a global shortage of the type of cache it originally was, and waiting for it to be in stock has not been successful- which means Im going to have to be extra crafty on its replacement.
Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 10: TripCache #39: Finally making it into Katoomba last night, this morning I had time for a quick walk from the hotel we stayed at to locate this cache. Having seen ones like this before I spotted it almost instantly - though it was on the ground and couldn't be put back in place. Messaged the CO to advise, logged the cache and left it in a safe position for replacement. TFTC.
Replaced cache. It was missing.
Same location- outside the bus stop but nearby.
Hint update: flat.

Hate to say this but baggie and log gone. Like the idea had me thinking for a little when staring at the tank!

Replaced baggie and log. This baggie can be looped over a couple of times, hopefully will keep the cache log dry. Sad fish is still sad. Poor lil guy
GGCoconut, HJCoconut and I made the 90 minute drive up to Katoomba today to pick up something from a shop up here... as you do being such a long drive, we wanted to at least find a couple of caches to make it worthwhile
I do love these water tank murals, such a great initiative and always so interesting to see the different designs. At GZ it was a case of sad fish, happy cacher as I recognised the hide type straight away (does help if you've come across this type previously). Nice one! Thanks for placing this and bringing us here today.

First time I have seen that kind of hide...at least in this hemisphere. Needless to say, a quick find. TFTC
We headed up to Katoomba and stayed in the nearby motel. The hint was helpful.

found it eventually! damn that one was tricky, still pretty new to the this so didn't realise there were caches like that!
my computer says this is traditional but my phone says premium so had to access it on computer to log this. ..

found while on our blue mountains trip for the end of the eeek. tftc!

Found with eemiaj while caching around the Katoomba area, the 2nd day of our visit. My daughter made the find while I was too busy getting pics of the nearby trigs. TFTC
Had been so close to GZ a few times during an impromptu two day caching trip to and around Katoomba, I couldn’t leave the area today without a detour to collect a smile from a sad creature. Trusting the arrow, a familiar camo was quickly spotted and signed. I’m sure I saw the starfish smile, just for a second, as a “congrats!”

I should have realised it was the cache when I first spied it but I did one more circuit of the bus shelter and then 'found' it.

It is a sadfish but the mural does brighten up the tank. Found the cache once I thought about the hint. TFTC.
Two new-ish ALs lured me to Katoomba today but you can't come to town without grabbing a few normal caches as well. A quick find here and I enjoyed seeing the mural over the road.
Thanks for the hide.

Very sad fish indeed. Namaste

I've had a love of the Cox's River and the western Blue Mountains area for a long time, so meandering through these back roads which hug the water courses and ridges was a perfect way to spend a morning in the Blue Mts.
Recent rains and run-off made some of these caches very hard to find as they were buried under sediment, while some of the roads were like outback 4WDriving.
Thanks for placing this series

On our way from Katoomba to Medlow Bath, we stopped by the roadside and found this cache.

We were keen for a find or two while we waited for our groceries to be ready, and after several years of yearly visits, the pickings are getting slim!
We were happy to see a new hide here, so diverted this way, and made a quick find of a style we've seen many times in the past, all quite dry and in good shape.... TFTC!

Found today while out on a small cache drive before we pick up the groceries, nice and cold outside which made for a fun time caching!

We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.
Today is the last day of our holiday, and our planned stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs has had to be cancelled due to wet weather, but we will still collect some caches around Katoomba before we depart. This was our 4th find of the day (day 10), and 177th find of the holiday.
This one was next, and it was a nice quick find at a very wet & misty GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's a nice mural on the water tank, and we have noticed other water tanks around the Blue Mountains with murals painted on them, so assume it's a council initiative of some kind. Early morning trip to Bunnings to bye a new whipper stripper to reduce the height of the grass from knee height to ankle height. Frazeydaze remembered that there was a cache on the way. Pulled up at gz and she headed for one thing and I the other. She had CIH before I got inside the other thing. TFTC JFTF.
