May 18, 2024 2:07 PMDamn muggles... who has lunch at 2:30 in the afternoon? Too busy here for a decent look. Would have made sense to put this one in the lighthouse out of view.

Found at 3:50 PM GAFF3 - but it didn't help as it is no longer hidden in that way.We are camped just 100 metres away from this cache and when we returned from our day's activities we stopped and started to look by first totally emptying the book library and checking every book and opening every DVD box! No not really, but we did give it a good going over. Looked all around inside and out and then read some logs to see that this cache has had a troubled life. So we changed our thinking and went over to a likely spot and what do you know - in the first spot that we looked in at this new spot there was the small/micro sized container with the log book that had been well used. Thanks to TheTurlandTurtles

Well May has come around once again, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find many but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the beautiful Autumn days in the low 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC The hint is totally irrelevant, (In my opinion) so everyone think with your developed geocaching skills and you will find it!.

20-Jan-24
Plenty of 'mini thems' around, but still was able to search with only a few odd stares.Went to car, and sourced a replacement to help out the CO. Hopefully its the right style it matches the hint and tucked away.If not appropriate, I'm happy to retrieve and change log to another DNF.Cheers

17-Jan-24
The downside of not looking at logs before setting out is you go looking for one with lots of DNFs. A good way to spend waiting for my fish and chips thoughLove the lighthouse though super cute and clever.

09-Jan-24
No luck today. Will give it another go another time.

09-Jan-24
Me thinks the muggles have had their way with this one. Another dnf to my tally.Tftc

Missed ya - Looked and looked but could not locate. Tftc

30-Oct-23
So, we went for "the obvious" without any luck, so broadened the search and soon spotted the hint subject and then the cache container. Thanks for the fun on this cold windy (very windy) day - at least it kept the muggles away. Favourite awarded

14-Aug-23
Today 5 intrepid geocachers went meandering with the lure of a FTF as the carrot that was held out in front of them. We all hopped on board and got cozy in the muff1 geomobile and headed off for a day of fun. It was good to turn this previous DNF into a smile, thank you for replacing this cache.
SL TFTC

14-Aug-23
The plan for today was a group trip way down south after the FTF on a hard puzzle only recently solved by the group. Of course there would be some others found but with the road long and time short, there wouldn't be a lot of others found.
After picking up the Rat from her nest it was south to Murray Bridge where we met up with brisal5 and muff1. We packed into the muffmobile and headed much further south to Tantanoola for the FTF, then it was the winding road back to Murray Bridge stopping for any caches the group thought needed stopping for.
All in all, the weather was fine, the company good and all but one cache found, a great day.
A quick find and stamp here to rectify a DNF by a member of the group.
Thanks to TheTurlandTurtles for putting out this cache.
Cache #13819 for me.

The plan for today was for ttrogg to pick up the Rat from the Rat's nest.
Then off to Murray Bridge to met up with Brisal5 and muff1.
We then pied into the muff's car, and headed to Tantanoola.
It was a lovely sunny day for our trip.
We arrived at GZ and pied out of the geomobile.
A quick find and stamp. Tftc

Geoturtle37 and I are slowly making our way home after leaving Team Crackers to go separate ways. We did some maintenance on this cache and hope that is ok with the CO. This was a lovely area but the wind was very chilly. The art works around here are very cheery and bright. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.

30-Jun-23
Papi4506 and myself are working our way back to Melbourne and stopped here for the night. We found part of this cache so carried out a little TLC. We hope that was ok as it would be a shame to have a cache in this area disappear. Thanks for bringing us here with the placing of this cache.

30-Jun-23
Found the container but not log sheet anywhere nearby. Photo sent to CO as proof of find. What a lovely spot.

12-Jun-23
What a beautiful spot!!!!

Doing a geo day trip from Meningie and got here on sunset - we’ll be back one day to stay at the RV park.

TFTC - found out in plain sight

11-Jun-23
It has been many years since we have been in this area. Enjoying our time with the added bonus of geocaching this time.

A quick find. There was no log book or inside container so added a log sheet. Unfortunately didn't have a zip lock bag to put it in.

Thanks TheTurlandTurtles for placing for all to enjoy.

14-May-23
This cache is back up and running. Should be there next time someone looks

19-Apr-23
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

18-Apr-23
We are the 14th DNF on this cache, it has not been found since 1/12/22, if the CO is no longer caching perhaps this cache should be archived.
We PAF and we were told exactly where the cache was and the style of hide and we can certainly say, the cache container is not there.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 12. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 6. Two of the team from this trip have headed home, so now it is just three of us Fitzy_1965, Albida33 & MinnieK, Sole de Lune and logs were signed as FAM or similar. Our goal today was more of the high D/T tree caches and a trip to Kingston and Robe to sample the delights of the coast and a few more counties down this way. We missed out on Beachport due to time and finished with some of the remaining caches in Millicent itself before calling it a night.

Whatever this one actually was, we did not manage to find it today.

Thanks.
Albida

No luck here today.

DNF

14-Feb-23
We thought we knew what we would be looking for (from the hint) but it was not to be. So we thought of all the creative hides which may have been used here, but again no luck. It could still be there or it could have been muffled. Who knows. But it needs checking by the cache owner who can then state it is definitely there, or alternatively replace it.

07-Feb-23
DNF couldn’t see any rocks in the area

04-Feb-23
Unfortunately couldn't find thus one, looked at all of the previous activity and had hope, but no luck, hopefully some one can keep me posted with this one please.

11-Oct-22
Found as we headed towards Robe for a few days!! Loved the mini library!!! A favourite for bringing us here!!

10-Oct-22
Both parts of brisal5, Bri and Sal set off for a quick three day trip down to the South East for an event. [^] So it was a case of just picking up a few caches as we were passing except for day 2 which was event day.Cool

Day 3 Time to go home. We were thinking we would head back in a different way to the way we came but as I had seen so many new caches at Kingston I convinced Sal to go home via the Coorong as well collecting a few more caches on the way. Big Grin
We stopped down be the jetty to eat out lunch and then wandered over here where I walked past the hide several times. Luckily I had Sal with me who pointed it out. Smile

***Thanks TheTurlandTurtles for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Many a trip to Millicent was planned, locked out or down. More recently a plan was hatched for 4 of us to attend but enroute our number dropped to 3 which meant so re shuffling and re prioritising.
We (PPE and Crash 2079) held our own event, Grumpy Over Millicent or better known in our vocabulary as GOM amongst other TLA’s of the same acronym. It was great to meet some of the locals.
Many an adventure was had with TOTTs of various types. The weather left a bit to be desired with fleeting bursts of sun but mostly wind, over cast and plenty of rain but we still managed to hoist poles and ladders and climb trees.
I went one way whiles the others went another and I came up with a quick find.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

GOMSs do Millicent - Day 1

After our plans to attend the Mega were cancelled by COVID, the stars finally aligned and saw bella at waggy, Purplepeopleater and myself jetting off early on a drizzly morning. With so many targets on our list, it will be interesting to see how many logs we manage to sign.

After collecting our set of TOTTs from oversized baggage and jumping in the hire car, we headed towards Murray Bridge and then along the coast to Kingston

Tried our luck at the library and came up trumps
