The caches near the very end of the arm have been green on my map and Zozettas for far too long now, so today we decided to try and fix that. We started out walking on the western side of the arm finding two caches, with plenty of good views towards the Alum Cliffs, and lots of wildlife as well, we saw plenty of cormorants, three seals, and even a sea eagle! We then rounded the point and found KY Aeroplane and then walked back on the eastern side and found three caches in the Beachcombing series to end the day. All the caches we found today were of great quality, and provided some outstanding views as well, thanks to the COs for placing them. Thanks for the cache tassietan!

Today we headed out for a day of caching on South Arm. We did a mix of walking and driving caches. It started out chilly and a bit wet but as the day went on the weather got better. We did have a couple of dnf but the caching in general was really good and we are grateful to all the CO for contributing to our game.Nice quick find and sign whilst at the beach TFTC

A nice quick find. Fortunately I have long fingers candy there were no creepy crawlies in residence! TFTC

The first cache of the day and a stunning location on this glorious morning. Spotted the wonderfully camouflaged cache and tried to retrieve it but the fat fingers couldn't quite reach. Squeezed a bit harder and just grabbed the end of it when I thought I saw something move. Must have been seeing things so went in for another go and suddenly a huge huntsman scurried across the cache and then my fingers! Hmm, now what! I wasn't keen sticking my mitts back in the hidey hole so used two small sticks and went for the chopstick method! It was successful and the cache was soon signed and returned. Have a FP for the camo, the experience, and the location! TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan

The first find of the day, and a very interesting one too! Beautiful views, and Sis couldn't believe it was the cache when she first found it! After retrieving a log book, she was fairly certain, and after admiring the many seabirds we all set of again for the next beachcombing cache. TFTC Tassietan!

This cache was my last find on my circuit of Arm End. I found it easily enough after my stroll along this lovely gentle beach; unfortunately I nearly lost it but managed to rescue it from my clumsiness. Thanks for these caches, tassietan; I'll be back sometime as I think there's at least one more left to find.

Caching around Tasmania. TFTC.
Interesting container. Wasn't sure what I was extracting. Nice area.

23-Apr-23
bloopy kids loved the container. watched some people playing with a drone while we were here. cheers!

Thanks for the cache tassietan.
Wow, this area is changing! I had never been out to Arm End until I got back in to caching seriously in 2016. At that time there was no mention of a golf course, and the area was overrun with gorse and boxthorn
Over the years, since the lease to the 'golfing' people, it's been good to see the removal of the weeds - quite an effort. Today you can actually see the golf course forming - the fairways are clear along with the tee-off areas.
Anyway, off to the cache - a nice quick find with another bespoke cache container - love finding these caches. A favourite from me.

The object today was to find GCGH5F at the Northern tip of the South Arm peninsula to tick off the challenge for Tasmania's 15 oldest caches. An absolutely amazing day with sunshine and views, topped off by a great walk around the area. Quick find in the obvious spot with awesome views. Thanks Smile

Nice to find a creative cache! And the beach is just soo beautiful, especially when blessed with an incredible end of Summer day. Thanks!

I had some time this morning, before commitments in the afternoon, to do a geocaching walk. Looking around this walk out Arm End looked like a good idea.

I set off, completing a few tasks on the way and was lucky enough to find a great parking spot, I started off around the future golf course. I found the three caches I was looking for, all of which were great cache containers

Today is our last one in Tasmania. We have planned a trip out to South Arm with a number of solved puzzles and qualified challenge caches along the way. Heading out for a walk along this picturesque and popular beach we just had to stop to make this find. Thanks.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to Tasmania to visit family and friends and find a few caches.

After attending the breakfast event at Howrah, I found a couple of higher terrain caches at Tranmere then made my way to South Arm and Gellibrand Point to find some more caches of interest.

It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the walk to the Point. This was my last find out here as I headed back to the car. It was a quick find and was in good condition.

Thanks tassietan for the cache.

Male membsec DNF’d here but the CO informed us that it actually had gone missing and what a wonderful story about how they didn’t have to replace it as the container was found on the beach!!! How lucky can you be and what a wonderful story!

Thanks for checking on it and what a nice place for a cache!

17-Feb-23
Checked on this cache today and indeed, it was missing! ️ As I was poking around at GZ making sure it had gone I heard voices and some muggles were walking along the beach. I quickly diverted my quest and went onto the beach and decided I’d do some beachcombing to look for a replacement cache housing as I hadn’t brought any with me this trip. The muggles passed, I started wandering back along the beach and then a very funny thing happened …. there was the original cache in the tide line, just as if it had washed up on this mornings tide! How amazing - what are the chances of me finding that!!!! I love beachcombing.

So, the cache is ready to be found again. The cache container is sliding out of its housing but it’s still quite ok. If it comes out please just push it back in so it’s sitting snuggly. I’ll glue it again next time I visit. Happy caching!

Continuing today's South Arm Adventure and its series of failures! Got to an obvious GZ and was pretty sure that I could locate the cache but no luck. PAF to the FTF cacher and he confirmed that I was exactly right and that it should not be too difficult to find. Nothing emerged after 20 minutes so either it continues my run of blindness for the day or it has actually gone.

Thank you so much for this cache too
We even had a muggle stop and take our photo for us as we waited for him to pass to grab the cache

Came for a walk and hunt while back at South Arm, to get the new year souvenir. Had to bypass it first time around because a gang of muggles followed us down the track and hovered in the general area of the cache.
After locating Arm End 2, we returned to a muggle free area and commenced the search.
Accurate co-ordinates had the clever cache in hand. Love the cache container!
Thanks tassietan, a fav point from us.

The hint is a bit vague, but an easy find nonetheless. Thanks!

"Plans for today?"
"None. Thoughts?"
"South Arm?"
"Yeah, let's do it"
Went this mornings conversation, and so it transpired that I met up with AlbyDangles at Kangaroo Bay, left my vehicle and climbed gingerly into his.
We'd soon parked appropriately, slip slop slapped and toddled off among the dog walkers.
A quick find here of a nifty cache. Thanks tassietan for the cache and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

The last find for the day for me today after finding a nearby Trad and a Puzzle.
This one was found in the 4th place i looked ha ha Big Grin I got there eventually.
When i spotted the hide i was apprehensive but after a poke and a prod i had the cache in hand and was SL at 12:40 on TGIF 9 December 2022.

A Fave Point from me as i love these kind of hides and the creativity involved Smile

TFTC tassietan and for the walk along this quiet beach devoid of any rubbish. Plenty of Shells on the beach and the small cliffs between it and the grassy land, loved it, i had a fun day out Cool

We decided to head out today to find three new caches that have been published at Arm End. We braved the elements - the wind was cyclonic and cool. Luckily, we took raincoats as needed those on the walk back from the puzzle cache. Arm end is always a good spot for a walk and a cache. We remember finding one here many years ago. A nicely created cache container. TFTC

This was a impulse drive down to have a go at these caches after the CITO.

A joint {*FTF*} with Goose at 1045

This was my first day out caching since I got back from the Mega and what started as a quick simple Cito first thing turned into a search for new caches out past South Arm.

Thanks for the cache.

Found on 03/12/2022 thanks to tassietan for placing this cache for me to find.

After going went to the CITO at Bellerive, we went down to South Arm to try to get some FTF’s. Walking to GZ we saw two people looking around and then walking away. Found the clever cache and then saw we were beaten by 4 minutes! Thanks for the cache tassietan!

After the CITO at Bellerive Bluff this morning I had no plans. On the way home Stainless Steel Rat and I decided to come down here for a look. There were no recognizable cars at the end of the road so we headed off with a little bit of confidence, but there are a couple of players who don't log quickly so we still could have been beaten.
AT GZ we made a quick find and extracted a blank log sheet, woo hoo!
