I was at a conference nearby and while I rarely cache these days, this was down the road and a lunch time walk to shake off the cobwebs seemed like a good idea, and doubly so given the paucity of sunshine Auckland has had this year and what little we'd had I was squandering listening to powerpoint presentations.
Made the 200 or so metre walk and sure enough found the cache after a very quick search. The log took much longer to extract as they do from these caches when one is inadequately prepared.
I couldn't say with absolute certainty but close to it, that I feel that this hide is not what the CO intended and is almost certainly a drop in by someone that came to find out. A tourist perhaps. The spot is fantastic as always and well worth the walk regardless.
Thanks for the cache. Just a note that the magnet doesn't work so the cache is "resting" rather than "sticking". If one of Gabrielle's sisters visits, the cache may well make a run for it.

Kids were doing their training near the waterfront and saw this one has been replaced. Nice quick find here. It wouldn't stick to the metal so it's just sitting in it's corner. TFTC
AliGle and I were wandering around the Auckland waterfront this afternoon and completed this cache while in the area. We noticed the recent DNFs, but when I popped my head down to look for the cache , I spotted it straight away... although it looks like someone has recently replaced it with a nano. TFTC!
I was in Auckland to start a New Zealand cruise on the Noordam with my sister, Piney Wood Walkers, my brother, Cloiud9Hikers and their spouses. We arrived real early in the morning and I had most of the day to cache. It was cloudy and rainy all day but Piney Wood Walkers didn't let that stop us.
We were in the area and took a look to find this cache. Found the GZ in the picture and no cache. I had a nano on me so we decided to leave it to show we were there. Thanks for bringing us to this area.

We headed into town together tonight to find the small number of caches that we wanted to add to our finds for this date. Quite a few people out and about, including several fisherfolk, but not right near GZ. An easy one to start with thanks to the spoiler image.
I am and and about enjoying a pleasant walk around Westhaven this afternoon after work. A pleasant walk as it is sunny yet cool with a nice breeze. The new nearby ad lab was my primary excuse for the exercise but I made sure to stop by here, mid ad lab to have a look for this one. Previous experience tells me that gpsr devices are not much use under here. As such, I made good use of the provided spoiler Pic. Tried a couple of spots before getting the correct GZ and making the find. Cheers for the exercise and for the traditional cache placement!
What a sweet little hide! Lots of muggles today as it's a great day. Haven't been here in a long time so this cache and a newish ad lab was a great excuse. Thanks very much
I was out for a morning walk in the area, when I realised that there was another iteration of the cache under the bridge. Had to time my approach in between the muggles, but it was still early so not too many of them. TFTC.
We were here to finally complete a ten stage Round the Bays Mega Adventure Lab and were keen to look for this cache as well.
It was pouring with rain and the wind was very strong but this hadn't stopped a multitude of intrepid fishermen from their mission and we had to be careful to not step on any of their catches or get caught in their hooks while they were casting as we walked towards GZ.
We knew what we were looking for so made a nice quick find of this cleverly placed cache.
We briefly thought about going to the nearby cafe for a coffee but the wind hit us so severely we didn't want to startle them with our Worzel Gummidge-esque appearance and decided against it. (We didn't have our drinking heads on anyway).
Our last find for the day.
Thanks G-2.

Have done the previous cache here, very busy with muggies on this beautiful sunny day, so quickly grabbed & moved away to sign & then replaced. Thanks
Nice one, and wearing the Urban Fluro Camo, I managed to blend right in with the Bridge workers. No one takes any notice of someone wearing Fluro. The Geocaching cloak of invisibility...
cheers V.

Thank goodness for the excellent description of the hide and the spoiler photo, as this would have been so tricky otherwise.
So many muggles here today.
Great hide, great place. Thanks for putting this here

Out today for a dot day, and letting fate decide where I should go. I hopped on the first bus and ended up at Victoria Park, from there it was a beautiful, sunny walk to the cache.
I have found a cache here before, and thought I had an idea what to expect and with a quick search I spotted the cache. Waited for muggles on scooters to pass before making the grab, then returned it while pretending to search my bag. A great hide. TFTC and bringing me to the area again. #1435

Nice easy find with the instructions thanks. Cool cache container but a little fragile, was tricky to hold log in place. Tftc had a lovely visit.
Having found the last version of this one, it was a nice and easy find today.
Definitely a bit of a downsize compared to the last, but hopefully it’s more invisible to the bridge maintenance crews!
Thanks for the cache!

A fairly quick find here, but had to wait for a bit as people were passing (including a group that just came off of the bridge). Also took a while to get the log back in, but did it eventually. Thanks!
I'd already checked the spoiler picture when the cache was first released, and at GZ there were only 2 possible sites so that made a quick find.
Sneaky hide. I liked it.
Small log, signed with "P".
Thanks for hiding and maintaining this little fella.

(M23:) Clever little hide, this cache is.
Nice to find while wandering the city.

Was in the area to pick up an archived cache so wandered along here as well. No prob with the cache. Thanks
Back here after dnf the last time when it was missing. Back today for a super quick find. We are currently taking cover under the bridge as just as we got out of the car it started pouring down!! Beautiful rainbow while we were standing here though.
Thanks for placing the cache G-2.

I spent the morning looking after the Grandkids while their parents worked from home. I dropped the kids off at daycare in time to have lunch then sleeps and set off on todays geocaching targets.
I was hoping to grab a few puzzles, get the last two TMGT caches and head out towards the airport in plenty of time to collect my son at 6.30pm.
I was pleased as I achieved my goals and got 26 finds plus 2 labs for the day.
I grabbed this as I was in the area finishing off the first tour. I'm sure like another log I read I unscrewed part of the bridge last time I was here. Oops. Glad it was obvious today. Lots of fisherman around. Loved the underbelly views of the bridge. Thanks for the smile

A super quick find here, made more urgent by the slightly creative parking position we have chosen. The wind is picking up a bit so it was nice to get a bit of shelter, for just a moment or two. We have been fortunate with the weather and the rain is holding off for now. TFTC

A perfect day out of biking, sightseeing, fishing and a cache go top it off. Fav here

We needed to get out of the house, so took our bikes out for a ride and rode out towards Westhaven. There were lots of muggles out enjoying the sunshine on a warm Autumnal day.
Once at gz, we were glad we had the bikes to use as a prop, as we searched for the cache. Quickly spotted the cache, and waited for the right opportunity to retrieve the cache. Signed our name on the log, and replaced the cache as found. TFTC

With apologies to the Red Hot Chili Peppers (It seems appropriate given the cache placement):
Sometimes I feel like I can't find these caches
Sometimes they've been found by some of my friends
In the city I live in, the City of Sails
Lonely as I am, but still I will try
I walk on her streets 'cause I'm searching for caches
I walk through her hills 'cause I hope for a find
And today at the harbour, it was pretty windy
But I got the smiley, so thanks for placing this hide

Nice to come back here to grab this cache. N9body around so made a nice quick find. TFTC
On a mission with ABCDF4 and eyespyben to complete some Adventure Labs so grabbed a few others along the way. Whilst the general area was busy at 7.30pm on a Saturday night (so many fisherman nearby fullish moon and high tide) all was quiet at GZ. As We gathered the information for the lab cache Mrs ABCDF4 found the clever hide. Thank you for the placement
Had a idea lets go to Auckland and do some Ad Lad etc
EyespyBen rang KGD
to see if he wanted to come,be here 6 oclock
What a buzz to see Auckland at night
But a nice wee hide

Out and about with Mrs NZTravellers on a bike ride to explore and of course pick up some caches along the way.
Well we didn't plan this very well but there was an Ocean Swim going on today but with everyone's eyes firmly on the contestants preparing we swooped in for a super quick find (with use of the spoiler so we didn't attract attention), signed log and were on our way.
Thanks for the cache.

As MrNZT is currently working overseas, a plan was hatched to join Keylev for a ladies bike ride around the CBD to collect the waypoints for a nearby multi cache celebrating the original shoreline of Auckland City. We started at Erin Point and biked to the Parnell baths before heading back again. Almost back to the starting point here and as luck would have it a swim event was on, but luckily we used the spoiler photo and our stealth mode to find the well camouflaged cache. I was looking straight at it and Keylev spotted it. TFTC!
Found this new one but have found the previous cache in the almost sane spot previously. Good to get it done again
I came down the stairs off the overpass, I had never noticed these. This bridge connects the best part of Auckland (on the other side) to the business end of Auckland. I used it most days to get to work but enjoy far more crossing it again in the evening. I wouldn't mind if they eventually put a cycleway on it, that would reduce my bus spend. I quickly found the cache even though I mixed up my East and West. The little piece of wood was so well wedged I thought it was glued in place and I started threading the log back in place... TFTC
I had found the previous one here and it is great to see that there is a replacement. TFTC
After completing the nearby virtual "City of Sails", I made my way to this cache located right under the well-utilised Harbour bridge which carries over 170,000 vehicles every day, travelling between the City and the North Shore. As I arrived at GZ, I noticed a large group of people attached to harnesses and other special equipment, who had just finished walking the Harbour Bridge, chatting together. I had to wait for a few minutes until they left, and soon after made a nice, quick find which blends in really nicely to it's surroundings. TFTC Glyn and for bringing me to this awesome place with great views!
As the weather was beautiful this afternoon, I decided to go on a big caching trip where I would walk from Westhaven --> Herne Bay --> Westmere --> Western Springs --> Pt Chev. All in all 32 total finds, including 18 trads, 10 AL's, 2 virtual's and 2 mystery caches. Thanks very much to all CO's for their wonderful hides!

Found the previous hide today so luckily didnt take us too long to grab this one today. A very nice piece of cameo here.
Sorry with my walking group. Quickly picked it up and suprised them. No time for a lengthy log. Thanks for the fun find
Wow... That was a quick find and log on my second run this year finding the second cache in this location on second day of the week in second month of the year and twenty-second day of the month...
Thank you for the cache

Nice shiny new cache here, and not where the old one was. Very nice hide too, typical of this CO. TFTC!!!
Was good to see a cache here again.
Out for a day caching with merlot58 and nette1234.
Didn't take too long to spot as we remembered a previous one on the structure.
Thanks.

It was a nice day to get out and grab a couple of caches. This was our first of the day and a quick find as I remember the previous cache here
A quick find here.
Its a great spot. Us Aucklanders are so lucky to have a Harbour like this.

I wanted to go and pick up my sister in my van this morning, about 7:30am, had my e-bike already in it and I was going to put my sister's bike in the back for a cycle ride from the harbour bridge to maybe St Heliers beach and back. Got to my sisters, tried to talk her into coming despite the stormy winds. But then it started to rain... well, that ended that scenario!
So I decided to head to the bridge on my own, and when I got there, the waves were crashing onto my van! That was fun...lol. I stayed there quite some time taking fotos and filming the storm. Didn't stop people running, walking, bringing their dogs, they could hardly stand up in the wind.
I had in mind this cache too, but I was braving myself to leave the safety of my cockpit to go and get it. I did so, but had to take shelter on the east side of the bridge just so I could log the cache without it flying away. Managed to do that, but returning the magnetic cache had me worried that it might not stay there, due to the strong winds. Mentioned this to the C.O and he agreed, anyway I hope it survives. Thanks G for the hide.

Nothing to do this afternoon so a cache publication was perfect! Parked near the fishermen and wandered over. Thanks to the hint I leaned over for a quick find then signed the nice blank log on the bench. Popped it back on the way back to the car just as another new cache was published on the north shore. Well, I’m halfway there already... Thanks for pop-top cache!
