After doing a few laps with the selfie cam and not seeing anything obvious decided to get a bit more direct. Took some wriggling and had to avoid a small wasp nest (safely away from the cache luckily) but managed to find this clever hide. Tftc
Getting vertigo after 10 mins searching. But hot today too. Did a lot of feeling around but no prize.
the wasps have returned !!! be careful sticking your noggins underneath!!the muggles on the balcony having a sunday morning cuppa spooked me out, hopefully next melbourne trip ill have more luck finding this cache wasp free
Took a few angles until I engendering spotted the two take sign of a stealthy log TFTC
14:37With plans to attend the Catch Up Event on Herring Island, later in the day, this cache and a few others drew us to parts of Melbourne we have not seen in years. What a **&%%#** of a cache - when we eventually found it and, whilst manouvering it from it's location, it dropped into a very difficult to access recess. After a bit of searching and then some wriggling, P-P was able to sight the cache - now to recover it. Back to geovehicle and return with tongs, magnets and other reaching devices. After a bit of fiddling, wriggling and manouvering, P-P was able to retrevive the cache and we were able to sign the log, then returning the container very, very carefully to where we had found it.All in all a very very tricky cache, certainly deserving of more than a DR2.5.Thank you to the CO who placed this cache.37416
Came back to this one with Auzzie_Taz, after I had a crack at finding it by myself. Found after a bit of searching, nicely concealedTFTC
Down in Melbourne for a couple of nights attending a work conference. Got here a bit earlier than expected and was unable to check into the motel. I went for a bit of a look around the DFO and then had a look for the nearest cache. This was the closest and looked intriguing, I approached GZ to find an army of kids at recess. I sat down near the object of interest and waited for the bell to be called. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long, and after a couple of laps around laying on my back, I spotted something out of place from the opposite side. Contorted myself to inspect it and sure enough revealed the cache. Very clever, FP awarded.TFTC!
Came back today, this time armed with a hint from the CO. Thankfully, the search was much quicker than last time, as the sneaky hide was found rather quickly. All is in good condition. Definitely gets a fave point from me. TFTC
The wasps have been given an eviction notice by an arch enemy of Louie the Fly.In light of this, the cache is back up and running.

----------###**GEOCACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED**###----------This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **possibly** needs some attention. You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do. Recent logs suggest that some wildlife think the GZ is a great spot to set up house, so maybe a check by the CO is called for?I'm disabling this one in line with [this guideline](https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx?expand=1#nature)Please visit the cache, check on the situation and if necessary remove the cache to a nearby location. If you need to move the cache this Help Centre article explains how to [**Update geocache coordinates**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=61)Please respond to this situation by **2nd May** to prevent the cache from being archived for not being Guideline compliant. Found by caughtatwork on 14/04/2024 at 4:10:00 PMA very, very tricky find here today.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
DNFA lot of crawling and not a lot of finding, however i did find something a wasp nest. im allergic to wasps so this was a no go for me, will be back though!
Some muggle action as construction workers were finishing a shift at 3pm. All good at GZ. TFTC
Sneaky hide and cool installation.Found on my second lap - dark shirt and pants will hide most of the dust from clambering around on the ground.
I give up I was under the sculpture. Squeezed inside it.. rolled around the out side of it.
Nice tricky one to find after two goes! Really tested the physical side of things, definitely my favourite so far! Thanks to the owner for the clue in the wee hours.
Spent a good 20 minutes looking for cache and I did comment to my husband that there was a small wasp nest with a wasp in it just near my head that i didnt see until after i stood back up. On closer inspection there is actually a second nest forming on another side too so pls be careful. We gave up after this as the nearby DFO was calling me
Gosh this is such a sneaky cache probably one of the hardest ones Ive found had to get some help from the co to find this one but after leaving and coming back with fresh eyes, I found it just be careful as there is a small wasps nest forming close by. It may become a dangerous spot tftc
Spent close to an hour searching but Unfortunately wasn't able to locate the cache
Thanks for the extra clue. I went back early this morning and found it. They were setting up for voting accross the road so going to be a day for smuggles. I went back to hotel to clean my jacket at that ground is filthy. Thanks again for a truly unique hide.
Having a break from Pax 2023. After around 15 minutes decided to rethink outside the square. Let's just say if it does not look part of a structure then it most likely may be what ur looking for.
Out and about on the other side of town today to attend a CITO and event. Picking up some extra targeted caches along the way, this was my last one for the day. Arrived at GZ later in the arvo which worked out well as it was fairly muggle free. I had been thinking about this one and had a particular hide in my mind to search for, although the art work wasn't what I was expecting and there were so many possibilities Feeling pretty weary after a big day, I didn't want this one to beat me. I got under, searched, searched and searched then ummm...maybe...Bingo! Well I actually said Yes! out loud Thanks CeeJayDenno for this cheeky hide and info about the artwork. Congratulations on the COTY nomination. A worthy finalist with a FP added.
I thought I'd continue the July Wheel-of-Challenges Streak Star souvenir campaign past the required 28 days and until the official end on the August 6th, so while in South Melbourne this afternoon I headed to this GZ which was the closest cache for my location.
After admiring the artwork I set about searching, clumsily trying to look nonchalant. It was taking some time. Then I noticed there was a primary school next to the park and it was not a good look for me.
So the only streak I'm continuing at this stage is a DNF streak.

I am so sorry, I forgot to draft this fun find, and ergo, no log. That is being rectified right now.
As a nominee for awards, I was keen to give this one a crack. Fortune was smiling on me this day, as we left Cachemas in July (amazing event) with the "baysiders" it was suggested to make a stop right here. Good choice.
I'm with the CO, Prezdough and LTEC - there was not much thought given to who was going to get grubby looking for this cache. Such an interesting spot, with an interesting history and in its own way the cache fits the story and the place.
Loved it, also loved not getting down and dirty - them the breaks, next time I'm sure it will be me.
Thanks CeeJayDenno, great cache, looking forward to seeing you at the awards!

I’ll admit we tried looking for this hide on our first attempt at a stupid time. A gym class had just finished and muggles on their balcony didn’t boost our confidence. And we were time limited and not dressed appropriately.
But this time? We had just come from the fun Cachemas in July lunch and thought we’d give it another go. First PrezDough tried his luck. After a few minutes the crowd grew restless so now it was my turn (Snips and Co was wearing a cream jumper, so obvs she had a get out of jail free card). Somehow what wasn’t found before was quickly located this time. Let’s call it Cachemas luck.
A fine example of a sneaky hide and a worthy recipient of a 2022 Cache of the Year nomination (First Hide). Many thanks to CeeJayDenno for the hints and prompts when we came up short. A generous and helpful CO is always appreciated. FP awarded for the hide and the fun. Cache on!
Signed as LetThemEatCache or LTEC or SALTECO, as space would allow.

**First Off, just wanted to say congratulations on being nominated for Best First Hide for the 2022 Cache of the Year Awards! Well Done!**
As someone who also hid their first cache in 2022 I know how intimidating the process can be, so way to go above and beyond on this one!
I actually had the great pleasure of caching with the [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=6aec6fa8-399b-441e-ad92-eb35c594ac7c&wid=1b5949b0-9578-42e4-a10d-2684c60a851c&ds=2) at [Geocaching Victoria's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=5381f41f-c082-4a07-a4e5-9610ef6949fe&wid=88cb1d30-3b86-4f74-88c0-1d821fecee2a&ds=2) [2022 Cache of the Year Award Nominations & BBQ event (GCA69WK)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA69WK) when the list of the [2022 Victorian COTYA Nominee caches](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMC8QYR?sort=name&sortOrder=asc&skip=0&take=20) got released. So I knew eventually I had to come out and find their cache.
Well with the new [Wheel of Challenges Challenge](https://www.geocaching.com/live/campaign/wheelofchallenges) being all about getting "Out and About," I have been trying to get out and at least grab one cache a day.
Well I got off work late, so I knew I would be caching in the dark and that's what reminded me that this cache was in a high muggle area, and would be better found at night.
So after work I hopped into the geomobile and headed towards GZ. With this cache being "other" in size I had a guess of what the container would be.
*Boy was I wrong lol*
When I arrived at GZ I found the structure and began a quick search under each side. However, with out seeing anything out of place during my quick search, I started making a more systematic search.
However, this turned out to be a bit more difficult then I expected, as although it was dark, GZ still had a fairly high muggle factor. I had to pick my search times strategically and limit my search times to short bursts.
Well after about 40 minutes or so of not having any luck, I reached out to a previous finder to see if they could limit at least what side of the structure the cache may be.
Well the hint proved to be the push I needed, as it was only another few minutes before I finally placed my hand on the **EXTREMELY** well hidden cache.
Definitely starting off with an evil hide for your first one lol.
A big thanks [CeeJayDenno](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=6aec6fa8-399b-441e-ad92-eb35c594ac7c&wid=1b5949b0-9578-42e4-a10d-2684c60a851c&ds=2) on the fun and challenge hide tonight. TFTC.
**Best of luck in the award voting!**
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The cache was in good shape and blended in well. *Almost to well lol*. The attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with still plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Mrs Dromaniax and I had a most enjoyable afternoon. First, with lunch and Miss Pearl and then seeing Judith Lucy in Happy Days at the Melbourne Theatre Company. As we were near this cache and wanted to see as many of the Cache of the Year nominees to help us with voting, we popped in to see this one.
This is a very clever cache. We had a fair idea of what we were looking for, but where? I agree with a previous cacher who suggested a mechanics trolley would have been handy. After around ten minutes, we finally had the cache in hand.
It is fantastic to see the nominees for best first hide; they are of such a high standard. Great to see new hiders making their marks.
This a definite favourite point from us. A fascinating cache. Thank you for this Traditional cache CeeJayDenno.

What a cheeky hide, after stopping by the South Melbourne market we had a look for 5 minutes before Tom made the find. Not what we were looking for, TFTC!
Well...we had almost given up. After reading some previous logs where they said trust your gps, I was about to prise up a paving slab.
I then said to my Geo Buddy that I was going to look under the structure else I would regret it despite previous logs dismissing the structure.
I'm not saying it was there or it wasn't. What I am going to say is that I had my hand on the logbook just before the CO drove past to see how we were doing by chance.
Nice to meet the CO. That doesn't happen often.
Great hide

After dropping one of my kids at work experience in South Melbourne, I went caching around the area until it was time to pick her up again. I had my other 2 kids with me.
We encountered an interesting piece of street art/sculpture here. We spent far too long on our hands, knees and backs looking for the cache. I had an idea what to look for but it wasn’t to be. So I reached out to the CO who took pity on me and I made the find.
The logbook was full so I guess I was able to return the favour by adding a new log sheet to save him coming out to do it.
The kids had a great time climbing all over it. It doesn’t say anywhere they can’t. With a primary school across the road I’m sure the kids have a bit of a climb on it too. It’s a weird sculpture to be honest. Neither like nor dislike it.
Thank you for the cache here CeeJayDenno we give it a fav point because it’s a great first hide and my kids had fun.

Success! With the CO kindly giving us some clues we still took 20 mins to find. We were real happy when we found it. Thanks for the adventure!
Looked for 30 - 35 mins. From the comments it sounded like a great cache but it seemed that it wasn’t our day today. Thanks for taking us here anyway!
Creative hide and a good other hide. Looked in all the different cars by places, but finally found it. Great hide TFTC

After we both crawled into the sculpture multiple times, he eventually honed in on it. Trust your GPS.
Really well hidden little cache this one.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Epic cache! My partner and I were poking around for almost an hour looking for this today. After doing several laps of the sculpture, reaching in almost every nook and cranny, getting dirt all over my hands, back, and legs, I FOUND IT! The best hint was given by a geocacher earlier - go by feel. We didn't bring a pen, but taking a photo of the log would give too much away.
Warning: go at night to avoid weird looks from moms in the area.

After a planning day in town with the fellow Geocaching Victoria team I went for a wander to grab a cache I needed to finally complete my 360 from home.
I had finally reached my target and began exploring. There was hardly anyone about which enabled me to explore in all sorts of wonderful spots and locations.
I had a sense of what I was looking for but despite crawling and pretending to be mechanic (one of those body trolleys would be a great TOTT), I still didn’t come across it.
I moved to the last side to check and sure enough… in the last place I looked .
360 from home is now finally complete!!!! Or at least it will be once this final cache weaves its way through the system!
Thanks CeeJayDenno for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Came back for this one, it's been haunting me ever since. Found myself back in the area late at night after work and gave it another go with some hints shared by the creator.
Honestly? A little embarrassed I didn't find it last time. Ingenious spot, one that definitely stands out even though it's so carefully hidden.
Signed MMD, secured back in place. Excellent spot.

Gave this one the old college try after a late night at work, but despite the fact I'm pretty certain I know what the hints are getting at after reading the description of the sculpture it still eluded me. I know this one's gonna drive me crazy. I'll definitely be back.
I was concerned when I read previous logs, but... sly... cunning... and most importantly, still there!
Thanks heaps, CeejayDenno!

This is brilliant, simple but effective. For once I was grateful for my physical attributes. I was lucky with this one and had it in hand in under a minute. A fantastic hide.
We had hoped to find this one today but alas it wasn’t to be. Looked all over but the rain eventually beat me.
Thanks anyway CeeJayDenno

A very helpful message from CO let us know what we were looking for. But it was still a very tricky find! Glad to make this one a smiley... TFTC!
I passed by this during the week when there were way too many muggles, but stopped by Sat afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. But no luck . Molested all the nooks and crannies we could find, but came up empty handed. Oh well.
Driving past today, so conducted a little check. Log is about 50% full, but plenty of rooms for more finders. No problems here.
Found it! Dropped it and it was rescued by the beautiful xxx_perturbed_xxx

Had to rope the kids in here as was struggling. Around and around and around. Until spotted something suspicious, and boom, cache! Clever hide, thanks!
Once we got to GZ we started looking. As we were about to inspect it more I felt something lift my arm and it was a puppy! Search was halted as I continued to snuggle the puppy while his foster mommy chatted away to Mr H. After a while we reluctantly said our good byes and our search continued. Mr H made the find within 5 minutes!
Unfortunately I couldn't find it... I checked every little nook underneath with my torch. Pretty sure I have a couple of spiders getting a free ride right now
You might need to come and check yourself if you're around this area.. I could be blind!
Let me know

TFTC CeeJay Denno! I loved reading the history of this site. The placement for this sculpture is also perfect. The transformation of this area is astonishing.
I first visited this cache in daylight & had to be content with a quiet sit to soak up all that happens around. A busy Scholl and thoroughfare for pedestrians and bikers alike.
Tonight , I thought a visit after hours could be a good idea. The rain has stopped & how busy could it be? Not too bad it turns out. The hint is spot on & I nearly gave up, but persistence pays!!
If I could favourite, I would definitely!

Great hiding spot in such a creative spot. Didn't take too long to find though GPS was jumping around a little. Fav point from us. TFTC

This afternoon I was catching up with what's been published recently when this one came to notice.
**Firstly the artwork.**
This is not just art, this is history, science, culture and entertainment wrapped up in a remarkable piece of construction.
It tells a story of the people living here in those times, of the structure of their houses and the torment inflicted by the floods. It leads into the hydrology of the area and the activities undertaken to make it more resilient to the natural forces of the land understood by the indigenous people but not by the newcomers. There is a starting point for many hours of learning. And I think it looks good.
**The cache.**
This is a fine execution of this style of cache. It is very well hidden, enough to deter muggles but not too much of a challenge for an experienced cacher as there are clues in the listing that pretty well identify what to look for.
As far as damaging the structure in the looking, I don't believe this is an issue at all unless undue measures are taken, and there is no need for that.
All in all, one of the best first placements I have seen, one which should last indefinitely, is protected from the elements, and easy to maintain.
Definitely worth a favourite point. In time, it could become one of the iconic urban caches around Melbourne, and the CO looks to be a great addition to those hiding caches around here.
**Thanks for the fun CeeJayDenno**

We couldn't resist on our way past... So two idiots crawled where they probably shouldn't, stopped for a think about what they should be actually looking for, and boy was it worth it.
Nice bit of artistry, CeeJayDenno

*I feel like I'm floating. Floating on air!*
Having met the artist responsible for this latest installation at a social gathering last night, we felt lt prudent to stop by and admire their work on our way home.
When I first arrived in South Melbourne from the West in '79 I lived a short stone's throw from here. My, what a different world we now live in. **Outstanding!**

Not
Good or Bad
But
Outstanding and Offensive
On the plus side.
Once upon a time this would send the bananas crazy. After a way too long intimate search and a long drive talking about the efforts of the day, it was finally resolved that a worthy find was found and deserved multiple favourite points. Now you can only give one to each treasure. So this one gets one of those leftovers.
Opposite
As a large family of gifted artists and fine tradesmen who appreciate great work, this is not how artists work should be used. It is walking art, something appreciated while walking along. Not to be studied in fine detail, but appreciated for its quirky sense, using well known items. The sort of stuff that doesn't need a "Fine Arts Degree".
Just something for everyone. Street Art at its best.
That the object deteriorates after each visitor is not how art should be used.
As the bananas can see no express permission from the artist to use their artwork for our game, it gets a big fat
FAIL.
