A quick find here today cache is all goodThis weekend Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Mount Gambier for Morgo the Geos 500th Parkrun. Today after a CITO in the Mount, Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Port Mc before I dropped here off at the airport. I then made my way around the detoured route to Millicent before a few caches in the dark at Mount BurrThanks for the cache

We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. Unfortunately, we were unable to find this cache today. LNCU.

Find 4809 on March 2, 2024Day#5 on Fergzters trip to the Great Leap Forward Event. Today we began at Kingston SE and are heading in the general direction of home in Ballarat. Thankfully I don't need to be there until tomorrow. That's better. Not a dnf this time.All is well with the cache. TFTC TT016

1/1/2023 forts of the year hope to do more this year than last

Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event.Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

On a Christmas Holiday with sir_spectre, visiting family in Mount Gambier and then on to Victoria to visit some new places as well as some old haunts.

The weather hasn't improved very much so we haven't done much traditional caching but have done a number of ALs.
This is a wonderful town that we have visited before, but we are still amazed at what the town has to offer.

with it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area. Today was a nice easy day around Mt Gambier as I awaited for The Empire to arrive, once he arrived we headed around the Blue lake to do some Earth caches.

This is one of the caches found today.

Today I had an empty day on my calendar needing to be filled. I bombed out on another cache so was getting desperate in the cold late afternoon. Not sure why this took so long but I was relieved to find it and head on to the heater. Thanks guys.

Moving on with my 7 days SA / VIC trip. Day 2 had me travelling from Portland, VIC to Tanunda, SA. I visited a lot of new places and it was a long day but I loved it.
