Between Steeba, The Rats, and myself, it is over three months since we've all been home at the same time. So with us all back in the same place at the same time, it was the perfect reason to head out caching for a day. A cold and windy Sunday in western Sydney, aiming for a few series that we hadn't yet found. We found a heap of caches, of which this was one. As always the journey is better than the destination, and the banter made the journey.Cheers
Out and about today with The Rats and Hoojar around Western Sydney tackling a number of solved puzzles, multis and whatever else we could find along the way.TFTC!
Out for a days caching with the gong gangsters. We came looking for caches in the Luddenham area. There were plenty of new caches out here since we were last here. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining the caches we found.TFTC

Apologies for the late log I'd solved this quite some time back but hadn't gotten around to stopping in at GZ for the find. However as I was in the area today for an event, it gave me the opportunity to resolve that. At GZ I was in the right spot, but embarrassingly couldn't work out how to extract at first. Thankfully the CO's dad was on hand to show me the error of my ways thanks for the puzzle and hide Booo Booo!
Nice tricky hide. Thanks for puzzle and cache. Signed log and replaced as found.
Quite an ingenious hide. Looked straight over it multiple times. Will send a photo of my find to the CO because I couldn't open it, no matter what I tried. TFTC
Signed as CDI - Canberra Day Invasion. isopeda, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, fitzy_1965, Joolay, MinnieK, Contesta, Smittengranny. Day three of the long weekend (Canberra Day) of caching. We had solved the puzzles in the weeks and months before this trip, ALs, multis and some of the Wherigos were done at location of course.
Sorry about the generic logs - logging after days of crazy driving and navigating with not much time between the caches.

30,077. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Contesta and myself. Day 2. An early-ish start soon had us on the road grabbing more caches. This was one of many pre-solved puzzles/wherigos in preparation for this trip, and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks Booo Booo !!

Day 2 of our Canberra Day invasion saw us start early in Bargo and finish in Penrith for the night.
I was down with a migraine for most of the morning but after the good drugs, I was much better by the end of the day when I could contribute a bit more.
We spent the day picking up trads, multis, solved puzzles & wherigos along with the odd AL thrown in for good measure.
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 3. For the next chapter of this trip there were two farewells and an early start fro breakfast in Picton before we got underway. Today the group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny and Contesta. We still had a plenty of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. The group signed CDI23 the same as yesterday. In addition to all the caches we had planned for the day, we also had to get to Penrith in time for dinner. We did a mixture of roadside traditional caches and the GFA series. We ended the day with caches around Warragamba. Another long fun day caching in this region.
As we reached Wallacia, the caches became mostly part of the GFA series and we did a bit of a loop to visit as many of them as possible. We managed a break in Luddenham then finished the loop via Mulgoa.
Thanks for the cache Booo Booo

Well I felt a bit exposed collecting this one. Thankfully the rest of the world had better things to do than look at me and I managed to quickly spy and retrieve the container. While it was very nicely themed, it wasn't quite what I would have expected after solving the puzzle back in June. Quite an ingenious little spot the CO has found for it too.
Guaranteed that Domsky accounts for so many of those failed attempt on certitude.
This one took quite a while to get an answer for, and in hindsight, I’m not sure why it was so difficult, but it was! Happy to sign the log on this one.

Had to get help with this one as we were unfamiliar with this device. A quick find once at GZ. TFTC.
Another puzzle I initially struggled with but with help from Mr Google and PAF it all fell into place.
Walking to GZ there were a few possible places but had wait until the truckie moved his rig before delving into the search. Nicely crafted themed cache container. Thanks to Booo Booo for placing and maintaining this cache.

I was early for the GCNSW Riley's Riverview so I decided to do stop for a few of the GFA caches. An enjoyable series of puzzles to solve over the past weeks as more and more were published. So now it was about time to turn a few of those into smileys.

Thanks to all the Booo's for making my day... I have been solving a lot of their puzzles and today was the day for a caching raid on them . Thanks also to the wonderful SueDan83's for chauffeuring and giving me such a wonderful day when I needed it... your generosity warms my soul and has helped me immensely. Oh and I also got some of Sue's Cherryripe biscuits and got to use Dan's "squid catching" pole... woohoo!... fantastic day. Sorry for the generic logs but it was a long day... 53 finds, 4 DNF's and surprisingly 2 FTF's. So a HUGE thanks to all the CO's for giving back to this wonderful game.
Knew what it was immediately but my youngest son told me exactly which type... nope haha... just needed generic. Thanks

I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only a month and a bit behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed out west to pick up more solved puzzle caches in the GFA series. And that included some First2Finds as well!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Any cache specific comments will be added here. Don't hold your breath, though.

Looking at this puzzle made me think that I had fallen off the wagon again. However, I (Dan) only drink zero beer now, so I soon steadied myself and did some googling and goggling. I had some ideas and had to decide on what to try first. I typed in my answer quickly in the vain hope that I could trick the checker. And to my surprise, it worked. First go. As often happens with my puzzle solving, more ass than class. (of course, it is only a D1.5)

We are on another short (four day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Planning to collect some of the solved GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and Wallacia, then visiting the Blue Mountains from Springwood to Wentworth Falls (over two days) for numerous Adventure Labs and other targeted caches.
Today (day 3) we completed two Adventure Labs that had their various stages scattered around Springwood and Winmalee, and also collected numerous caches of various types (Traditional, Multi, Mystery/Puzzle, and Virtual) that we passed along the way. Also visited an old "2 Dogs" Traditional cache from 2001 that we needed for an "old school" challenge cache. This was our 5th find of the day (day 4), and 87th find of the holiday.

We were out this way on Friday collecting all of the GFA puzzle caches that had been published since our last visit, then we noticed two new ones being published yesterday, so we set to solving them so we could stop off on our way home.
This one was a quick solve, but the checker didn't like our answer, until we gave it a less detailed answer and it was happy. Arrived at GZ and made a quick find at a busy location. Waited for a quiet moment to make the grab, sign the log as 2TF, and replace as found. Thanks Booo Booo for the puzzle & cache.
