I was looking for a place to pour in water to float out the cache, but that wasn't necessary. TFTC.
Thanks for your amazing cache Geckoh. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.Found with Fisha1288 Another favorite from me. Another of these along the Himitangi straight Cheers, Cympull.
Lots of graffiti around GZ. It seems to be a popular hangout spot for the youths. Fortunately we didnt encounter any of the artists today. We soon spotted something but could it be the cache? Yes crikey it was. Very clever and a definite favourite point.Loving this series. TFTC
Heading north with tmann421 for a few days. This was day three with plenty of miles for us to cover.Enjoyed the hide hereGreat trail along hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
Good find with woolwood9 on a few days away.*This was the main area for us today - we got a shock with the signs at start (or finish) by P2P 25 where there were barriers and signs saying cycleway CLOSED. However detour took us to access near P2P 11 so we started there. Track is blocked off heading towards the higher number caches on the trail as well.*We enjoyed the trail and good caches for us to visit!SL *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for the cache. ww9 soon spotted this one while I checked all the wrong places!
Have been meaning to tackle these two series for ages, and was hoping to knock them off before the end of 2023 to hit our 500, but just didn't quite get there. So, did the next best thing and hit them up on the first day of 2024 instead!9th find for the day today. This is a most excellent cache and well deserved of the fave point I am giving it! If I could give more, I would. The camo is fantastic and made me think - "wait - is that it?" before realising it was! Looks like the secondary part of the camo had been moved away, so I adjusted to how I believe it should look - CO may want to take a look just to confirm. Thanks for the placement. Really glad to have this turned into a smiley.
Managed to nab this on a group ride - but had a lot of catching up to do afterward!Approached from the wrong side initially but hopped the fence and found it. Incredible camo .Also, heed the warnings about the cutty grass! (see pic)
Out and about with the shoebs family.A nice quick, easy, find, grab, sign, and flee.TFTC
About to tackle the cycle trail GCs in a serious way, so I’ve left the bike and the non-caching accomplices at home. This is number one and definitely FP worthy. TFTC
Out on the cycle trail picking up some caches that I require for a personal challenge.
Luckily I saw the geotrail into the GZ otherwise there would have been a trail of hydraulic fluid to the GZ.
Cheers for the cache, Geckoh.

The second success of the day for us and in short time the not so little one had located this cool hide, definitely a favourite for us. tFTC
Last one along this trail, and left on our way in due to muggles in the vacinity initially...cutty grass starting to claim the area a little adding to the challenge....
In the area today with junior cacher and Mrs stik-a-crane for some RNR, and luckily the weather decided to play ball for the time we were visiting.
Spotted this trail and managed to lock in accommodation reasonably close by, but still decided to drive closer to the trail start......was going to park at the boat ramp, but due to recent heavy rain, that option had been flooded, and no longer an option, so went a little further down the road, set up the bikes, and set off along the trail.....
The cache was all good.

Looks like my cycling app causes the geocaching gps to not be as accurate, luckily kiwitrecker1 didn’t have the same issue. A clever hide, thank you!
I needed a decent bike ride today and I could not ignore this trail any longer.
It's been a while since I have handed out a fav point, but this gets one.

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
Today's plan was to get a few caches around Rotorua with high favourite points. We then wanted to head up to Tauranga via a few PWGT caches. As it turned out we only got one cache in Rotorua this morning as it was drizzling so we headed north to avoid the rain.
It had turned into a nice day so we decided to walk along here and grab this series. As this was a tad off track we grabbed it on our way back. We hunted in a few places before spotting it. Another well themed and fun hide thankyou

Our North Island Roadtrip from Whangarei to complete Tahi & Rua of the NZ Geotour - Day Twelve.
This one was a trick so we got it on the way back to the car. Thanks for yet another great cache.

While spending my summer holidays in the Bay of Plenty to the east of Opotiki, an unexpected (in a good way) text message from a mate resulted in an impromptu visit to Papamoa. With both of us being unfamiliar with the area and wanting something to do, I suggested we go geocaching. He agreed and I began the online search for local caches. This cycleway trail popped up and we decided to take a walk, attempting to find a few of the caches hidden along it. We parked at the end of Bell Road and began the short walk to the trail.
This was the final cache we found on the trail today. When we initially arrived at the entrance to the trail off Bell Road, we accidently missed this cache, meaning we would need to pick it up on the return journey.
After walking for a decent amount of time, and having found a few caches along this cycleway, it was time to turn around and head home.
When we arrived at GZ, with thanks to the cryptic title, the cache was quickly found. This particular cache was my personal favourite of the trail. Very cool. We signed the logsheet and replaced it.
Thanks Geckoh for the awesome hides we found today and for introducing us to this cycleway.

Very clever hide indeed but so glad to have found it while on my holiday in NZ. TFTC
No luck today.
I was getting hot and tired, so gave up after 10 minutes

Very very clever hide. Had us stumped for a bit and then widened the search. TFTC
Awesome hide. So clever. Found it today but will write in the cache when next out this way. Probably over the weekend. TFTC.
Wow another very clever one - had us thinking for a minute or two…. another favourite TFTC
Up for the Other Bay visiting family, and as it's such a lovely sunny day, what else do we do, hunt out caches. I'm not fo d of flax hidden caches, especially wet flax, yippy, I didn't get wet, a nice thought out placement, it get a favorite from me. Cheers
Got off work at lunchtime and headed out to enjoy the sunny winters day. Cold but not a cloud in the sky. Returned to complete this P2P series. Have driven past so many times and imagined I would return here with a bike but instead had to walk it. Still enjoyable with all the varied hides to break up the walk. Wasn’t looking forward to the flax hides however with the clear hints they were no problem. Took 2 hours to collect the remaining 18 caches. Cache and log all fine here. This was probably my favourite. Happy to add a ️. Thanks Geckoh for all your effort in setting up the series.
Khonig and I have been talking about doing the Papamoa to Paengaroa trail series for a while now... and with the added bonus of completing some puzzle caches along the trail we decided that today was the day. Weather was brilliant... no rain and just enough cloud to keep us from over heating. Between us we had two cars so decided to be strategic about placement of the cars so we only had to do the trail once... thank goodness because we had tired feet by the time we were finished. Thanks so much for all the caches along the trail... a very well maintained and enjoyable experience.
Loved the cache for this one!

Certainly a fun bike trail along here, this cache definitely deserves a FP. Just a couple more caches to find before I head back, TFTC
Out walking the P2P trail in reverse numerical order from south to north this morning.
Well, actually this last one was done after a little bit of walking from north to south. We really liked the hide here, so will give this one a favourite point on behalf of the series. Many thanks.

Paper was a bit wet when we found it, but definitely one of my favourites!
This cache was not what I was expecting I was thinking I didn't have enough H20
To get the cache but no,I still had to think twice if I had actually found the cache, log signed and replaced as found Thanks for the placement and the smiley.

We can see why this one is so popular! The cache was obvious, and yet, even when we opened it, we weren't sure if we had the right object! But it was so very clever! The kiddos were very impressed! TFTC
Ha ha ha now that’s not hard to miss ….. cool camo I have always wanted to put one of these in this area …a job saved ….lol thanks for the great series with some entertaining caches well done Geckoh
All the way back to the start to find this cache while it was muggle free. After all the biking on this hot day I was desperate for a drink. There seems to be a faulty connection here as I couldn't get the water to flow. . Thanks for this very enjoyable trail Geckoh! Awesome work.
Today is the day, regardless of the rain, that McJandals and I are doing this trail. Thanks for placing these caches. This gets a favourite from me.
Cheers

Needing some fresh air and exercise after a few days if inclement weather and a break from the computer (trying to solve a geckho puzzle), teamed up with Dee+ME. Armed with our bikes and fingers crossed it won’t rain off we went.
Great start and a fp
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

A great day for biking this trail and gathering some smileys as we go. We looked at the cryptic title and decided that it would be best to do this one last - just in case... So off we rode, not many others on the trails, morning tea at the Kaituna wetlands - they're looking fabulous - lunch at Makatu then caching again on our way back. 49km all up, 32 caches and no DNFs. All smiles when we found this one. Fave from us. Cache is all good. TFTC
Ooooh how exciting, a new trail of caches on a cycle path, and in the direction we're going!
Having joined up with mr rattll again, we left Kawerau and headed here. Mrs rattll headed off on the bike and this time it was mr rattlls time to do the dog sitting.
Mr rattll was waiting here for me so made the find as I passed by overhead.
Thanks for putting all these caches on this cycleway

Finally we had a weekend free and this new trail gave us the opportunity to get back out on the bikes and dependent on the number of successful finds, also gain the final summit challenge souvenir which we had almost given up on.
ROS had been on this cycleway several times before but at a much faster pace than today.
There were a lot of passing muggles who offered help thinking we had lost something and the occasional runner who must have wondered why we made such slow progress when he passed us on his return!
We had been expecting someone to set this trail up so it wasn’t a complete surprise when the caches were published. Enjoyable trail and fav point for this one TFTC.

Well, thanks for tempting us back into geocaching with this splendid cache, Geckoh!
7918 After seeing this trail pop up over the weekend I decide to get on my bike and collect them. Parked at the northern end and took me just over 3hrs to do the round trip. with only 1 DNF. Will have to comeback for that one. Enjoyed the trail with interesting hides some of which I found a challenge to find. Thank you for all the effort in creating these caches.
This being the first for the day. Once spotted the cache was quickly signed. It was going to be a hot day so plenty of H20 will be required.

Don't you hate it when there is aheap of new caches pretty much at your back door & you don't have a bike & are too old to walk it.I'm working on a plan Geckoh but this one is very close to mine at the pumpstation so thought i would test the water.Nice easy find, thankyou.Plan coming up.Cheers.
Time to get the bikes out and tackle this trail. The first challenge was to navigate our way through all the new housing down Papamoa. We parked down the end of Te Okuroa Drive and hopped on.
Nice easy start out around the pond and on to the trail We have been waiting a long time for someone to set up a trail along here and really looking forward to it Number two for us but probably number one for a lot I started looking too high but then decided to go lower while Richard directed me from above. Didn’t take too long to suss out this great cache - very clever TFTC

Off on a weekend awayHeading for the Beachgot a call from squirrel Nutcase to see if we wanted to join him, there is New P2P trail.Didn't take to much persuasionAwesome Trek, hints spot on Nice hide a bit differentThanks to the CO Lots of time gone into this trail
With (Mr) Davidson Clan, ABCDF4 and eyespyben… Our Huntly friends responded to our invite to walk the P2P trail, and we were able to park a vehicle at either end…
This one had us wondering if we’d brought enough water. Fortunately, it wasn’t one of those sorts of hides, but it was very clever. We’ve been talking about putting a trail out here for years… Thanks Geckoh and TFTC.

First one to start us off and boy its a goody! Heard the familiar sound of a spray can nearby and not sure if they saw us being shady...we couldn't see them being shady though!
Looking forward to more of this trail
