An enjoyable long weekend caching with friends around the Southern Tablelands.Quick find in a beautiful location. TFTC drobbonz!
A cool and fun day of caching around the Central Tablelands. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location. Container and log in good condition. Thanks!
Up here in cooool Orange giving my sister some respite. Had to fill this day on the calendar and was surprised to see Borenore Marble. Haveing arrived in the district in 1963 and left in 1972 with relatives still here I'm embarrassed to say I had no idea that there was marble at Borenore. The slab near GZ is a great example. Being an ex-PMG technician I can remember seeing marble at the GPO and central station but never guessed where it came from. I thought it all came from Italy. Thanks for the information, this is part of the reason I like Geocaching, excersise and knowledge.TFTC drobbonz FP
Nice one! Just a quick stop for some fresh air and then onto Bathurst?? (a geostop!)
Our first full day in Orange, and a chance to do some serious caching. We had quite a number of pre-solved caches on our agenda as well as others in the area. Our journey took us through a range of different sections of the town; residential, business, retail and some great parks and wetlands areas. We encountered some good hides which we awarded favorites as well as some challenges and straightforward finds. The weather was perfect but as usual got cold all of a sudden later in the day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache drobbonz.**SKI Pair****
The hint gave no other option, and I spotted it from quite a few metres away. No one around to see what I was up to!
We are on a ten-day road trip from Sydney around the Central West. Having a lovely day around Orange but just had no luck here. Sometimes your geocaching mojo has a dip in energy. Loved the view here and the info about the marble. Will just have to leave it on our DNF list for another visit. Cheers Gaztek
Checked out the marble as four of us walked a circuit of the Gardens. Excused myself from the others as we approached the cache. Suddenly I felt just like an outlaw locked up behind bars. But I still found the cache and escaped back to the track.TFTC drobbonz
After lunch and a walk in the botanic gardens we were making our way back into town for our last night in Orange. We were off to see Dave ONeill and Lehmo at Factory Espresso seeing we were staying over the road from the event. We had to pull over for one last cache in town and also our last look at Mount Canobolas on which we had frozen our balls off on earlier in the week (in the middle of a heat wave). It was a great clear day to see the mountain and were rewarded with one last find before the drive back to Brisbane the following day. tftc
This one had JB stumped for awhile, then he got it ! we were thinking of putting one there too

As I drive by here almost daily, today I decided I should stop off and make the find on the cache. Pulled up, and could see it from where I was parked, so just had to wait for the right time in between passing cars and pedestrians to grab it.

Found easily with Snarfman bring a pen. We walked past it twice before I spotted it. Well placed
Co ordinates are a little off as it directs you to the road sign. But still found it!
Just visiting Australia, but happy to get a FTF here! There does not seem to be a crush to get the FTF here, unlike some other places. Unfortunately, the mountain view was obstructed by low cloud. AIOK. TftC.
