I visited the nearby museum and took a tram ride to the playground. I gave my phone to my non geocaching sister to take a photo of me. Sorry that I totally forgot my map
Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we headed out to the Barossa, with the main points of interest being a winery (of course), the chocolate factory, and of course the famous Geostuff. Caching wise we mostly targeted ones we had pre-planned on a list but ended up with some extras we happened to be passing as well. We ended the day with a handful back in Adelaide, and an evening walk to grab a few close to our accommodation. Overall, it was yet another very enjoyable and productive day. Some cool play structures around here, I bet kids absolutely love them. Photo with makeshift map in hand is attached. Thanks for the cache
Been a long while since visiting the Adventure Playground but took the opportunity to stop by today on our way back from a family reunion in Port Vincent Spent time walking through and admiring the new attractions including the super duper flyin fox and the pirate ship has a well earnt makeoverMany thanx to ParisLaura for the virtual and adding to our stopover
#24383. There were lots of muggles in the area today (looked like a few school holiday programs were paying a visit). I can see why ... it's an amazing adventure playground complex. Troodles submitted out photo. TFTC.
This looks like a fun place for children, and indeed it was packed with excited kids today. Probably school holidays meant that it was busier than a normal weekday. We had a look at the pirate ship and took our photo. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.
The kids absolutely loved this park. We had no idea how good it would be but so glad we stopped here. Pictures are key members of Team Garbageman in the pirates faces - Classic Cache and Sneaky Ninja Girl. Can definitely imagine spending more time here if we were local. TNLN TFTC
Thanks for the virtual the park was really cool. Im in the Garbagemans photo. TFTC
TFTC. Down in Adelaide for some medical appointments & calisthenics comp . What else to do with spare time?? Cache of course! Happy caching and safe travels!
We were travelling through the area, we needed this LGA and this area was the closest to the Hwy. Parked the caravan & car walked over to get a snap. Thanks to CO fir bringing us.
TFTC,Now after crossing York Peninsula, we are making our way home after 8 weeks away, visited trackables. There is a first for everything.
Something special or unusual goes here:We came, we saw, (perhaps we shouldn't have come during school holidays.) [^] I boarded and stuck my head in the pirate silhouette and the Rat took a picture. Most of the little scally wags had moved out the way by then. A fun place to visit for six years olds of all ages. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trekking for just two puzzle solvers today. I picked up S.A. Sewer Rats at the Rat's nest and we went in search of newer caches and the gonna doos nearby. You know - those caches you regularly pass by but that are just near your path but off the main road with several turns and drive backs to get to. Gonna doo them one today.! Well - today was gonna be that day! ***Thanks ParisLaura for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
What an amazing playground for the big kids! My daughter and I had the best time and a cheap place to stay in the van as well, what more could u want!
Haven't been here in years and decided it was time for the two Butterflies to explore. The pirate flag on the side counts as a map, right???
We are visiting Adelaide and Port Augusta for a quick holiday week. Today was the big travel day. We flew, found a few caches in Adelaide and a few on the way to Port Augusta.Love this playground! FP for bringing us here. What a magical place for children of all ages. Mine are big kids and they loved the slides!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Parist Laura [^]
Over to attend the Great Leap Forward Mega Event with tmann421.Have done a few km collecting caches and have enjoyed the tour aroundThanks to all the cache owners for their efforts in placing and maintaining these for us to find
*Nice find with woolwood9 today.* Thanks for putting this Virtual cache out for us to visit.
Later that dsame day I had to head out to Elizabeth so called in at St Kilda on the way back. A couple of contactless caches and the Virtual made it 6 types in a day. Pic taken, will add it on the log shortly.A 7 o clock start today and fancied a leg stretch down Semaphore way before breakfast. It turned into a 4km walk, lovely temperature. and not too many people around, maybe because it's a weekend. A few more caches, including 5 different types for the first 5 finds! Thanks to all COs for their hides again.
I'm in SA for the leap day Mega, some caching and a restful 5 day holiday. Let's see how that rest goes in the middle of so much new caching grounds!!! Today is day 2 and my Adelaide to Yorke Peninsula day.I have very fond memories of visiting this playground many times, so it was great to visit today. I've certainly spent many hours up, over and through all different pieces. Today, I'm in too much physical pain it's an effort to continue on. Carry on, I will, though, and after visiting the pirate ship, which is my favourite, it was time to sit a while and stop my head spinning so I can get through the day! Lovely by the water with the cool breeze blowing.
bunadoorian and I came for a drive today and thought we would pick up this virtual. St Kilda is not that far from our place in Melbourne. Thank you for showing us this great playground - ParisLaura.
So different at night time! We covered ourselves in RID and still nearly got carried away by the zombie mozzies! My eerie photo is attached. I brought my kids here to play about 13 years ago and both are now in their early 20s!
Happy Leap Day!! Todays mission was variety - different types, different sizes and in different LGAs. Thankyou for your cache placement as this helped us achieve a mini goal for the day. Visiting from Brisbane specifically for the Mega event that was held in town.
Found by baby&Mrs gopher while here for the Leap Year event. Tnx for the virtual ParisLaura.
There seems to have been a lot of effort put into the playgrounds around here. It would be a great place for the geo kids. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
Chewed to bits by the mozzies getting getting this one. More fool me for leaving the bushman's in the van. Thanks for the Virtual Cache ParisLaura
TFTC ParisLaura your cache Looking for pirate treasure! that we found today. Day 3 in Mallala as we wait for the Leap Day Mega. We decided that a trip to St Kilda via Two Wells and Virginia would make for a good adventure. Concentrating mainly on multis but happy to find others as we pass. This was one of the caches we found.Find Count: 18395
After long training day, came here for a decompress and a walk. Tickled a nostalgic bone too. Thought why not pick up some caches while I'm at it. Tftc! Sabo
Used to love this as a kid, still love it as an adult! I remember the old wooden castle, and am glad the wooden ship still exists. Had a great time with some friends and their little ones. TFTC and the throwback!
Today is the second last day of this year. In the morning, I and J plus the little one visited the St Kilda Adventure Playground. We had been there many times before. Impressive playground, worth many return visits. We took some photos while we were in the pirate ship. As requested, I uploaded a photo of me with my map (mobile phone), in the pirate ship.Thank you for the virtual cache, ParisLaura.PS: I took another photo near the entrance of the playground. See attachment.------**South Australia will host a Leap Day Mega Event on 29th February 2024. GCA1DNA: The Great Leap Forward. Count down: 60 days.**
Found it. First time at St Kilda playground.Great spot Didn't get a phone/ map etc in pic as i left my phone at the table when i went exploring.
This is a location that i have been coming since primary school age with my grandparents and parents. I have even brought the mini maker here. over in the nearby playground i attended my first geocaching event with a very mini, mini maker. fav point for the memories
I have spent hours of my life at St Kilda. My Dad volunteered at the Tram Museum for many, many years and my brothers and I had to entertain ourselves, although we got free tram travel that wasn't really exciting and I remember when the trams ran passed the dump and didn't even get to the beach. Thanks
Great adventure. Love the pirate so. Took photo with my phone. Sarge5556 has his phone in hand.
Out birdwatching with my Cousin while visiting her in Adelaide. This area was one site we visited. Photo taken. My camera is my treasure, and it was in my hand, but you couldn't see it in my selfie. Thanks for the great virtual with lots of birds in the tidal flats for me.
30/10/2023 9:03:00 AMArr, ye scallywags! This be a bucketeering log for ye's ta read abouts our adventure at sea on th' ship.Down below deck we found th' treasure and took our spoils.Keep out ye yellow bellies or I be running ye through with me cutlassFind recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
Having lived in the Northern suburbs for many years, I have spent a few good hours in St. Kilda with friends and then with our kids. That was pre-2004 when we moved to Brisbane though, so I have not been back here for more than 20 years... Not a lot has changed, but the playground atop the hill near the boat is very cool and new to me.Plenty of kids on the ship and a solo guy with a camera was a little cautious. I headed inside, then out the other side to snap my pic, to ensure I had no ankle biters in the photo and didn't draw any unwanted attention from the circle of Mums on the side lines. Thankfully, I was in business gear so looked semi-official and maybe like I was supposed to be there. [?]Nice to revisit this place after so long, thanks for the reason to come back. If it were not for the Ghost icon, I would have unlikely been here. Cheers ParisLaura.
Last minute decision to take Master T out to burn some energy. Beautiful day for it, not too warm in the sun and the breeze was really nice. TFTC
While the kids ran off to check out all the beaut slides I wandered over here to check for treasure and claim a find. Thanks ParisLaura for placing Looking for pirate treasure! for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 11:05 on 25/9/2023.This is find number 7674 for me.
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.
Stopping a few days at Highway1 Tourist Park as the GeoCruiser is in for some repairs. Today we ducked out to tackle a few surrounding caches including some puzzles solved when we first hit the road! Taken a while to get here.
What a great spot. Busy even today being a weekday, guess its crazy busy on weekends.

After the International Geocaching Day dinner event at North Haven I made my way out North with irishalan and AussieGal88 to St Kilda, Dublin, Parham and Two Wells.
I had been looking forward to this virtual for a while. Finally was the day to get it ticked off the list.
I looked through the car to see what I had with me in terms of a map. A 2006 street directory will do.
I opened it to page 91 (which was St Kilda'a section) and used that for my photo.
A fun virtual here.
We heard some others seemingly looking for treasure. We didn't stick around to find out if they were friendly pirates or not. We jumped in the car and drove off.
Photo uploaded with log. Was good to read some history too.
Thanks ParisLaura for this virtual cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3424 on the 19th of August 2023.
**Happy International Geocaching Day**
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!
**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**

After a rude awakening (with screaming like a small girl) I got some more sleep in a different car park & got here just after dawn. Very cool. FP+1 for a busy hour in the playground

This Virtual cache was completed on another enjoyable trip with FeatherWaite over 3-weeks through South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This time the plan was to head up to Kings Canyon, across to the WA border via Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, then down the Great Central Road, with a few side-trips along the way before eventually getting to the Goldfields and home via Queen Victoria Springs and the Eyre Highway.
We had some mixed weather to start, with a few overnight showers, but mostly warm and sunny days. Some of the nights were pretty cold though!
This was our first cache for the day as we made the detour to St Kilda as we headed north.
Thanks ParisLaura for the cache.

After an early morning breakfast event in North Adelaide Doctor Owl and I continued on to find some mutually unfound caches out north. We came to St Kilda first on a cold windy day. Thankfully the rain stayed away along with the muggles. [^]
It was very windy here this morning and I didn't have a map although there was a very realistic map drawn at the event this morning (copyright LiB) which I will attach.
Thanks for bringing me here ParisLaura somewhere I haven't been since I was a kid...a very long time ago.

After a ridiculously early breakfast event Owl teamed up with JJ52 to find some mutually unfound boxes. This was the scene of Owl's 700th cache so it was nice to revisit the location.
A interesting location here and used the phone for our map here.
Today courtneyrose_ and I headed to the Barossa for lunch and to find a few new caches published along the way.
Thanks for the cache

Aaaarrrrrr! See my hastily sketched treasure map that I hurriedly copied from the chest of a passing mermaid. In the excitement, I forgot the my patch and parrot. A fun Virtual, thanks so much ParisLaura.
A quick trip to catch a few undone caches. Dog sitting for 3 weeks so brought them for a walk around. As we arrived so did a pile of other people, with all the dog signs and boundaries weren't sure how close we could go. This ship and park has given my children and grandchildren much joy over the last 30 years. It has changed alot too.
A sunny but cool Sunday morning, lots of families making great use of the play area

I’m visiting South Oz from Townsville for about a week. I’ve a few targets on my list and this more than likely was one of them.
More fun than a kid my age should have. Gave all the slides a go. I had no paper and my phone is my gps. Hopefully my photos suffice.
Thanks ParisLaura for placing this Virtual for me to find. Added a few
Of these on my trip so far.
