This Virtual was slightly more complicated than we had envisioned, should have read the description before our arrival! We messed up the first question in our haste, but Jamin was generous, but managed to get the rest correct.Answers sent and approved. We headed off to Wodonga for a few days for a family celebration, and as usual organized to pick up a few caches along the way and try a number of Ad Labs. Its a great time of year for caching and although we had not planned as carefully as we might we were still taken to a number of interesting places, particularly a new solar installation alongside the Hume Highway.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Jamin Appleford.**SKI Pair****
Glad to see these memorials. Thanks for bringing us here. Lest We Forget. Logged with permission. Thanks Jamin Appleford.
The two memorial sites are a fitting tribute to the local fallen heroes. An excellent Virtual Jamin Appleford. Thank you for highlighting these locations.Permission to log received from the CO.Lest We Forget.
Found by Mary and David at 14:10. A thoughtful visit to these two memorial sites. On our bway home from the 90th Birthday of Davi'd Aunt. Our thanks to Jamin Appleford.
This was an interesting Virtual cache requiring a couple of stops to collect the information, and to appreciate the local commemorations and memorials . The sun was shining and it was a lovely spot to take the time to wander around. Thanks Jamin Appleford for highlighting this important local history.
Day 12 of my interstate trip. Today I left Everton and continued on my way to Sydney making it as far as Burrumbuttock where I spent the night at a free camp site. I managed to find 17 caches today and only 1 DNF.Some great art and some memorials here thanks for bringing me here.TFTC Jamin Appleford
After a visit to Benalla we had a few minutes to kill before our scheduled bottle of bubbles and cuddles. We drove to the showground to grab our first round of answers. Then when I saw the next location I realised it was straight across the road from our hotel. We got our bubbles on and on the walk to the RSL for dinner we grabbed the other answers. Being an RSL tragic this cache was right up my alley. Answers submitted and accepted. tftc
We are visiting from Canada and touring SE Australia after attending the GeoBash in Canberra. Answers have been sent. TFT
We were heading to Canberra for our second Mega in as many months, and when you are driving a long way, it is wise to break up your drive to prevent driver fatigue. With this in mind, we stopped quite a bit on the journey to find a good number of caches and endeavoured to get closer to qualifying for more Challenge caches. We will use some relatively generic logs with the sheer number of logs we need to complete after the Mega. We are tired and have insufficient brain power to do much more than that.We would like to thank all the cache owners for placing the caches for us to find, and unless otherwise noted, we found all caches in excellent condition.Lest We Forget.Thank you, Jamin Appleford, for this Virtual cache.
28/03/2024 7:42:00 PMDropped in on my way the Canberra Geobash Mega, collected the info in the dark before wandering off to find a feed.Interesting locations I enjoyed revisiting, Thanks Jamin.Find recorded using GCDroid and logged using GSAK
On our way to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash we stopped in Wangaratta for dinner and find a Virtual Cache to fill a gap in my calendar. It is quite involved to complete all requirements, especially in the dark. Luckily it wasnt very cold and quite a bit of lighting at both locations helped me find all the bits of information required. Wangaratta has done quite a bit to remember those whose lives were sacrificed during wars around the world.
This cache took a few stops but I was able to get all the answers required and send them to the CO. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:Today I continued my month long journey from the U.S. along the east coast of Australia!! I was on my way to Canberra for the GeoBash mega and reuniting with the Aussie friends I left behind when I left Adelaide almost a month ago. I had a a shorter list than usual in hopes of getting to Canberra by early afternoon. I think I found all that I sought, but either way, it was a successful run north. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but know that I appreciate you.
This is my find # 13000 ! I have chosen this cache specially, as I walked with the CO last year in Rutherglen around the beautiful Lake near the Showgrounds doing a CITO . Now I did a lot of his caches on our trip from Kaniva to Wodonga, and around Glenrowan. We are on our way to the MEGA in Canberra, and stopped in Glenrowan for couple of days, visiting also Wangaratta. We sent the answers to CO, got the okay and log this cache with the photo.Tftc Jamin Appleford
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. FP
I did this virtual over a couple of days while wandering around wang. This is virtual number 166 and total find number 4999.Thanks Jamin Appleford for creating a virtual highlighting all those brave souls.
This trip is the...ADELAIDE MEGA TRIP (returning home)??This cache-which challenge/ why???LGA??can't pass a virtual ??leg stretch ??Had a great time catching up with friends and caching ourselves silly at the Mega in Adelaide and now I'm wandering home to Brisbane.Had planned to go to a few places in the high country but a big storm sent me running for more open spaces. Hadn't been able to come to the Mega here so it was a new playground for me. Scanning the map I noticed an event on this evening as well as four virtuals and a couple of solved puzzles so I put the skates on to see what I could get done before the event. Had a lovely time at the event this evening and met some locals as well as a catch up with a few from Queensland. Afterwards I went and did a solved puzzle with Small Wombat and then came to do this one before getting on my way to Rutherglen for an Earthcache I'd missed last time.I managed to gather the required info at the memorial without getting too damp but had to be patient at the showground as it was raining. Once it slowed down enough I dived out of the car for the photo and the info I needed here.TFTC??
Thanks for showing us these two places. Answers have been sent to CO and photo is uploaded here.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Moving today from Shepparton to Wangaratta. Couldn't be too early at the caravan park so a detour to drop the van off and head out to pick up some caches near Dookie and Devenish. Once we arrived mid afternoon we decided to tackle the multitude of AdLabs, it was pretty hot this afternoon. Managed to grab 3 virtuals, and a traditional aswell. Before a lovely dinner at the local RSL. Answers sent.TFTC Jamin Appleford [^]
Thanks for the cache, logging requirements recently completed without drama. Photo attached; answers will be sent shortly.
Found on a typical Summer day with MrsRoosta. On our way south with a few days stopover.A similar cache to ours at our local Victory memorial gardens. And very worthy of a favourite point. Thanks for the cache Jamin Appleford, ***Roostaman***

Tft Virtual, last time we were in Wangaratta was for the mega. Today for a family meet up.Arrived early to collect a few targeted caches.Able to gather the required information with no trouble.Markets at the memorial gardens were a bonus so we could stock up on local goodies Thanks Jamin Appleford
Thanks to the Appleford clan for a nocturnal adventure. Answers sent, the wars seemed to take a large toll on many communities and the commemorations are fitting.
A nice Virtual highlighting memorial's. This is one of the caches found today. Answers sent. Thanks Jamin Appleford for the cache.
Out and about around Wangaratta, with our caching companions Suscoe, on our last day for this trip. We found a variety of interesting caches. Amazing memorials acknowledging local heroes.Logged with a tick from the CO. Thanks to Jamin Appleford for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36187
Our last day on Wangaratta and we were caching with our very good friends Phetlern.Today was an around the town area trip.We had been working on puzzles recently to prepare for this day but we were alos looking forward to traditionals, Ad Labs and Virtuals. Thanks to Jamin Appleford for this tribute to our armed services. Our answers have been sent.A favourite.
While in town I stopped to grab this virtual. Ok im going to get philosophical..Lest we forget....IMO are strong words but words we seem to take for granted.. wars are still happening, and lives are still being lost... OK going to leave it there..this a GC site not a political one.
Visited this cache on a previous visit and my photo didnt save. Went back this time and took a drive by photo. Answers sent today.TFTC Jamin Appleford - found this one a reason interesting Virtul

An excellent Virtual Cache with lots of variety to the sites and the questions. I walked between the two sites in order to get my daily step count up. I had no trouble finding the necessary information and found it all very interesting. I really like the murals that are cropping up in increasing numbers in many country towns. A favourite point from me.

A nice virtual to do the day before ANZAC day to see a bit of war history. Great respect to all that the memorials pay tribute to.
Staying an extra night at our shack in Punkah with middle child and Roxy dog whilst hubby and the two other kids went home today. We decided to tackle some HSS series and caches in Wang.
A really lovely memorial park here neatly maintained. Anzac Day in 5 days time. Lest We Forget.

On my way home from the Rutherglen Mega I was lucky to be dodging rain while doing this cache. I was really interested in both these memorials to the participants of the various wars. The Memorial Park was particularly well set up and cared for. Thank you for the Virtual Cache and for bringing these to my attention.
#5151 History such as this is always well worth highlighting though caching. Today with the geohounds we enjoyed touring the two locations and obtaining the answers required to claim the Virtual. Nicely constructed two stager. TFTC and the exceptionally quick response to our submission .
The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
We are now caching around Wangaratta finding caches to meet the A-Z challenge along with a few others.
Answers sent and approval received. Thanks for a very interesting Virtual Jamin Appleford.

Unlikely to forget as i did army cadets and army reserves plus have grandparents on both sides of the family and both sexes Stopped to get the virtual as we passing doing the A - Z challenge and some lab stages. Answers will be sent in via another JAMS member, i didn't save the answers for wp2 in my phone.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

After a big adventure in Eldorado enjoying 3 fantastic nightcaches, chooknchunk and ourselves spoiled ourselves to a motel in Wang Sunday night before heading slowly back home ready for work on Tuesday. Making the 2 newest Virtuals in town our priority we visited both locations to gather the information needed and to take the obligatory selfie.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for the important Virtual remembering those who fought for our freedom.

Very happy to be heading to another Mega and this year we took leave the day before and after Easter to make it much more relaxing and enjoyable. Have to do that next Mega as well.
Today we decided some puzzles and more WhereIGos were in order along with getting Kristy as many types in a day as possible so we got 12 types today.
Some of the roads to get to these puzzles were nice and muddy which was fun.
Fleabag- has sent off our answers.

It is Easter so it must be Mega weekend! Heading south from the ACT to Rutherglen and looking for a few other caches in the area as well. Travelling with TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox and Search4 (some logs signed as FAST) but no doubt will be finding caches with others as well. The rain will not deter us!
On our back to Rutherglen after grabbing an old one, we stopped by the waypoints for this virtual. Answers sent to the CO and photo attached!

Aquilus1 & I drove down from Canberra for the mega weekend, with wonderful weather and events that just kept coming. Another GPS Maze done, our 6th!
We stayed at the same place as we did for the Wangarrata mega, with the key points being our own bedrooms and a power point in the garage for the car to charge overnight.
Lots of wherigo's on back roads which we did in three tranches, over three days, with some fellow Canberra cachers arriving to join us for the last 20 or so.
We drove around collecting virtuals and were lucky enough to get a couple of FTF's as well.
The ultimate test of a road trip is the pizza, and the Rutherglen pizza shop met the standard! The pub also had some great meals.

Great to complete this Virtual and visit the information required.
With the Rutherglen Mega Event and its associated GPS Maze, GreyHams and myself set out for the Easter long weekend to attend. The long range forecast not playing nice, it was pleasing that it changed it mind and for the most part was quite dry when it counted! Some overnight heavy rain didn't dampen our spirits, made for a bit of mud but we carried on with the trails and caches on our list.
Attended the events as we could, mostly just a stop in to say hello, sign the logs and carry on. Shout out to the Pizza shop for their yummy pizzas and the hotel across the road for their good snitty! Always great to bump into people out caching as we passed paths and see so many of our Canberra caching friends each day.
The Mega, AL's and this being our 6th Maze were to be our priorities. We chipped away at the geoart each day and happy to get a Victorian FTF in the FTF explosion, indeed it was but also a lot of fun. Of course, Virtuals were on our list and always a good way to explore the area along with many other caches that caught our attention. Many thanks to all the CO's and the event organisers for hosting and adding to our caching fun!

Last find with the canaries (Team Canary) today who popped down from the mega event at Rutherglen to go virtual hunting with us. Didn’t realise there were two locations and had actually just been near the second before coming to the first! We are staying in Wangaratta so would have had a crack anyway but was nice to do it with them. Enjoyed the two locations, turned out we walked through the second last night - I slipped in a muddy puddle nearby! Enjoyed the sites, thank you.
A lovely wander around Wangaratta collecting information and honouring servicemen.

Drove round and round the city searching for somewhere to park Relatively easy for WP1 but then became more awkward. Seems everyone was out shopping today. I was appalled at the enormous loss of life that wats have caused in this area. Such a waste and huge heartache for those left behind. TFTC Jamin Appleford i
I visited this Virtual cache while slowly meandering my way from Adelaide to Rutherglen to attend the Mega Event over Easter, seeking out some caches of interest along the way.
I met up with Freddo and camped near Mansfield last night, before heading off on our separate ways and catching up again later in the afternoon.
We wandered around Wangaratta, completing a few caches including this one.

We planned to get down to Rutherglen to try and collect all the caches in the area before the mega so we could relax a little more as Mega’s always seem to be a little hectic. With the Canberra day long weekend on the horizon a plan was hatched, and accommodation was found. Our attack group ended up consisting of Rapidlywild, DARKSIDEDAN, Sui_001 and only half of the FurfacesLL team as the other member is broken, seems we are taking turns. We ended up collecting all the trails we had intended to do and many others in varying shapes and sizes and types.
After completing the CSI series swung back into Wangaratta to do some virtuals and find a place to eat. Took a final photo this morning and Rapidlywild sent in the answers and got a quick thumbs up for our answers.
Thanks for the virtual Jamin Appleford

Plans were put in place for a Rutherglen attack over the Canberra day long weekend with the FurfacesLL, DSD and Sui. We spent 4 days away from home and collected a number of caches of various varieties.
After finishing off the EASTER2023 wherigos this morning with "The Mob", we split up and went our own ways. We (FurfacesLL, DSD, Sui_001 and myself) decided we would head south and have a crack at the recently released CSI series. Glad we had the 4WD as there were a few places that the 2WD couldn't get to. It was an interesting drive and we crossed paths with another team (queenant89) who were finding the CSI caches also. We had incoming storms towards the end of the series and we did get a little wet. Logs again signed as AB+G/AB&G to save room on the logs.
After finishing off the CSI, we made our way back into Wangaratta as there were 3 virtuals we were keen to claim. We visited both locations and took a number of photos as it was raining cold so we wanted to get back into the car as soon as we could. CO messaged with the answer of the questions asked and the thumbs up given to log.

Today we stopped off at the two locations and great to remember all those that served for this country. Amazing ww1 was over 100 years ago now
Today Courtneyrose_ and I made our way from Sydney to Rupanyup Vic driving just over 1000km for the day. Along the way we focused on mostly virtuals and found a few others along the way.

On the way to Corowa for a couple of nights, cruising through Wangaratta for a few virtuals. A wonderful mural and an interesting memorial site, recognising many battles and wars of times gone past. Logging with permission. Thanks for the interesting virtual cache Jamin Appleford.

Time for another weekend road trip! A few of us had spied the events in Eldorado and had hatched a plan to spend the weekend in search of the criminal outfit ILT.
After a late start I planned to gather a series of caches along the way before arriving in Eldorado in the evening.
This was one of the virtuals I explored. Thanks for highlighting these areas. Lest we forget.
Answer sent.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Arrived here at Wangaratta for CSI series adventure at Eldorado tomorrow. Jamin Appleford, thank you for placing virtual here.
This was a great idea for a virtual. It is a place that we would not have visited without the cache being here. We spent quite some time reading almost everything. Thanks for placing the cache and bringing us here.
GT37 and I had arrived early enough to do a few caches before we settled for the night. The virtuals in the area were on the hit list as they always take you somewhere of interest. The two locations visited here were both worthy. Thanks for taking us to these places with this cache.
Staying in town overnight on our way to Mt Kosciuszko, FUF009 and I stopped by and got the required information for this virtual.

I completely fluffed up the answers for this one, thanks to the CO for allowing our log, I’m not sure if I can blame C19, old age or just sheer stupidity but luckily we got a pass mark anyway.
I’ve always enjoyed seeing the canons in town when ever I have visited, my Aunt lives fairly close by so I’ve often stopped an reflected on the memorial in the past too.

In Wangaratta for lunch today with Jackez74 ️ thought we would do a few Geo's while waiting for a friend. Great virtual, always seeing new places and learning about more history.
I enjoyed visiting both locations to complete this virtual. The mural is a lovely piece of artwork. Tft virtual Jamin Appleford

Out and about exploring the area with my Snuggle-Muggle. It's always nice to pick up some caches as well.
Answers sent to the CO for verification.
Thanks for the geo-fun.

Had a fun time doing Labs, trads and multis and finding myself coming to the same places. Sometimes three times. Tftc.
A fascinating virtual learning more about the history of this beautiful town. Enjoyed visiting the 2 waypoints. Glad I was able to do this before heading home to the blue mountains. TFTC

I headed off on a short road trip to try and fish off a few of the Whittlesea challenges so I had to visit 3 LGA’s in particular, today I had been up in Wodonga and Towong and I was spending the night in Wangaratta before going back to Benalla and then heading up to Craig’s hut for a CITO.
It was sitting around in the motel room and then noticed that there were 3 new virtuals since I was here last so I headed out the door to have a look at them.
By now it was starting to get dark but I was still able to collect all the info that was needed, some photos were taken and then I headed back to the room.
**Thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing this cache.**

Day One.
My son and I New Year trip turn into drive into NSW and beyond. Today was more about driving. I found 9 today with few DNF. Oh well they do happen.
The breakdown was a mystery, community event, traditional, multi and adventure lab.
Day Two.
We carry on heading south down Newell highway grabbing more caches. Stopping for old and some new virtual, plus more non traditional for a challenge. Unfortunately some of those prove hard to find.
I had lots of fun doing earthcache they brought us to some wonderful places.
I found 26 today the breakdown was 3 virtual, 3 earthcache, 5 traditional and 3 adventure labs with 15 waypoints.
Day 3
Heading towards Mt Buller
After early start we started grabbing caches along the Newell highway to get more LGA cover.
I found 28 today with a lot of driving. The breakdown is 6 traditional, 9 virtual, (most I found in a day) 2 mystery, earthcache plus 2 adventure lab with 10 waypoints.
Thank you CO for your hides and the maintenance you do. For us to find
Sorry for the generic log.

Rather nice to revisit wangaratta and find 2 more virtual caches here.
Quite a lot of military history and monuments in this town to the fallen.
Terrific mural too.
Thanks Jamin for this experience and for logging confirmation.
