Thanks for this cache. Went to meet the King after some training Marine Rescue Two Rocks vessel Neptune 1. Very rainy day for it. Wish I got to experience Atlantis back in its day!

Found it TFTV megawat60. Not sure if it is "Found it" "Was there" or "been there done that" Interesting location here. I can remember coming here when it was open as Atlantis Marine park. It was a day trip via Wanneroo rd back then. Thanks for bringing me back here.

Thanks for bringing us here. It brings back memories of Atlantis marine park. I'm glad the King Neptune's statute is being restored.

Each trip around the country forces a scan for those pesky Ghost icons for me. With regular visits to the West, this was the closest to the airport, so North I went. SurprisedI avoided the showers as I visited the waypoints which was nice. Fair to say that our friend the King could use a little TLC, he's looking a little frail and rough around the edges... WinkI waited out a rather photogenic couple before I could move in for the obligatory selfie, then snapped my pic and headed to the additional WP. A new distance North for me in the Perth surrounds anyway.Cheers magawat60.

On our way home from Jurien Bay. Came up here in the light rain. Will send answers CO. TFTC Sir

This was the most amazing blast from the past moment. As soon as I saw the statue my brain said, I had been here before!. Scan the memory banks and realised my parents must have brought me here as kid on our only trip to Perth. The Statute would have been in it's tourist hey day at the time. Great to see it again, but I'm sad to see it not being fully appreciated.

Ah, Atlantis Marine Park! Kids these days will never know the thrill of a day out at one of Perth's premier tourist attractions in the 1980s ( the other being El Cabello Blanco). My first (possibly only?) visit to Atlantis was when I was about 8, when the social club at my dad's work had organised a Sunday outing up to Yanchep (in those days Yanchep was a waterbag and a cut lunch away). I loved the dolphins jumping up to touch the red buoys with their noses and the seals on their podiums doing tricks for the reward of a fish. But most of all, I remember the restaurant there... it was the first time I'd ever seen a smorgasbord, and omg, I could not believe that you could help yourself to whatever took your fancy!! Including the coloured cocktail onions on toothpicks, which I mistook for glace cherries, rookie buffet mistake. I also remember getting one of those giant pencils from the souvenir shop, which earned me some real social capital at school the next day. Memory unlocked!! Tftc Smile

#7411Day 4 in Perth with a last-minute decision to drive north to see the Pinnacles. Made a few pit-stops along the way to break up the journey. This virtual took us by surprise and interesting to read the history of the failed Bond resort. Took us a moment to figure out where the plaque was located when we didn't spot it on the way up or down. Then the aha moment allowed us to send our answer to the CO. Good to grab a couple of snacks and water here as well. Thanks for placing the virtual.TFTC megawat60

Headed to the distant northern reaches of the city today with Monkeywand, I C Nothing, Kapelula, SirFancy (signing MICKS) & some junior team members.
With morning sports concluded we arranged to meet up at King Neptune in Two Rocks and slowly worked our way south to Carine grabbing puzzles and trads that piqued our interest along the way.
A really fun day out with family and friends had me collecting 13 finds and 2 DNF’s.

Western Australia Adventure 2023
Day Five: Mandurah to Yanchep
Weather: Sensational.

This is my first ever time to Two Rocks, and had no knowledge of any of this. Most unexpected, and even a little disturbing - I thought the dugong holding the baby was a little creepy. There is a well worn path to Neptune’s summit, then off to find the answer to the question, more bizarre sculptures.

I hope the urban sprawl doesn’t ruin this spot. Thank you for sharing it with me megawat60.

It’s officially a mega!

Yay! FTF at 1030-ish. Neptunium Divine intervention? Happened to be scouting/foraging for some bits to make a cache when this one got published. Quick dash and a local turned up just as I was trying to figure out the self timer on the camera. More Divine intervention. But that’s where it ended. Speed reading the description made me overlook a vital piece of information which took a bit to rectify.

Thank you for bringing me here. Never been so close to the statue before (and there were several access points that I found) and the others dotted around were all new to me. The development is encroaching so I hope Neptune fares well in the future. Would be a shame to lose him.

Tftc Megawat60

01-Dec-22
Congrats olthomas for FTF! Since it has been “found” and I happened to be visiting the far
North, time for grocery shopping and visiting the god of freshwater and the sea.
Like Perth families, we came to Atlantis once. Glad in a way that marine animals are no longer taken from their environment to amuse crowds.
Answer given to CO. Many thanks and a FP for your virtual.
