Answers sent to the cache owner for review and approval. Nice art.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Sol's day the twentieth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Some interesting art here that was checked out today.Travelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
This was a lovely spot that I would never have found if it wasnt for this virtual.Answers sent to the CO whom we met up with at another cache at the weekend.
What a fabulous virtual cache. Down in Melbourne for the sidetrack event, we allowed ourselves to get sidetracked chasing LGAs on the way home. Wed never known this was here if not for the cache. Tftc.
Out caching with Lumpyjrb, I did enjoy the art here and some of the other murals. Thanks for placing this cache here and showing us this.
Out and about in the area for a half day of caching and this was my first stop. Found the required area without trouble and started to find the required answers. No issues at all and my answers have been sent to the CO. Any interesting location, and a lot of work as gone into those mosaics. Thanks for virtual bunadoorian...fav point added.
I am finally getting around to logging this one which i visited ages ago. At first i couldnt work out the answer to one of the questions but thanks to a heads up from the CO i am good to go. It is actually really obvious, with observation skills like that i am surprised i can find any caches at all. I remember it was a hot summers day when i visited and i ended up cutting my day short because of the heat. Being a country cacher it is always fun to see how the other half live and tackle some suburban caches, that day was no exception and despite the oppressive heat i had a great day. Thanks Bundoorian for a great virtual cache and the fun of finding it.
Came here after the BBQ event. bunadoorian, thank you for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
As I entered this precinct, I was expecting to find something a little different to what I found. Trusting my device, I soon arrived at GZ and gathered the information. Thanks for the fun, Bunadoorian.
Enjoyed doing this quick virtual on a sunny afternoon travelling through a side of town I don't often see. TFTC bunadoorin.
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 27/74, Saturday. Another really hot day so I decided to do some train-hopping and go here and there. Beautiful Bundoora was one of my targets because I wanted to see the RMIT campus over there. I also walked a lot today again. I visited this surprising and lovely spot too. I sent my answers to the CO. Thank you for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
What a great spot. Chasing LGAs and this one intrigued me. I came out not really knowing what to expect and was very impressed. I love these suburban artworks. So randomly placed!I AM GUR THE SKITZ CACHER
Answers sent to bunadoorian. Never realised these mosaics had been relocated to this position. Years ago they were in and around the garden beds in front of this group of shops along with art belonging to local school children. Must have moved when gardens were last updated but as we no longer regularly shop here not sure when that happened. Great to see they have at least been saved
Answers supplied to bunadoorian. Here with CybergranV for the first time. Even though I have lived here for many years I did not know these mosaics existed. Thank you bunadoorian for brining me here and for this virtual cache.
Answers sent to Cache Owner ... here's hoping. I have to agree with previous finders of this cache that these are located in an unusual place where they do not get the exposure they deserve but hey, that is what Geocaching is all about. Thanks for taking us there ... bit chilly though.
Like others have mentioned, it is a shame to have these pieces of art work in such a hidden spot. I wonder what the artist thinks about this. I disrupted someone having a smoke brake there. He wasn't bothered with my art appreciation. But I do like the idea of artwork covering many surfaces.
Well didn't this spark a catfight.
What defines a panel [?]
Is it the border or frame of the artwork [?]
I think so.
Is it the single sheet of material the artworks are attached to [?]
catnap777 thinks so.
I'm sure our disagreement will not disolve our partnership and that our good friends Bundoorian and Grub62 will not lose sleep deciding which of us is right.
TFTVirtualCache bunadoorian, discovered while cat' and I were quickly passing through your part of the world.
Point of interest.....Logged for the day of our visit, this virtual was the Southernmost cache in Whittlesea County.

With the CO's permission to log, dalerious and I will say, we came, we saw, we counted.
Not sure of the idea of placing this beautiful artwork in the place it has been put. We felt that it should have been placed out in the open, and it makes us wonder if anyone really knows it is there. Apart from us geocachers, anyway.
Thank you Bunadoorian for bringing us here with this virtual.
G'day to you and Grub62 .

After some previously booked travel was cancelled due to Covid, we were now having to use up our flight credits before they expired so my wife and I decided to fly down to Melbourne from Brisbane for an extended weekend break.
Sadly, today was our last day in town (it's not a public holiday tomorrow in my home town) and I was keen to add a few more virtual caches to my collection. While my wife was enjoying a sleep in I jumped on an early morning tram out to Bundoora to visit this cache. The mosaic was certainly a lot more tucked away out of sight than I expected. I'm sure a lot of locals probably don't even know it's here but at least I do now. TFTC

We were out in the northern suburbs after a LEGO meeting in Preston looking for a Virtual to fill a gap in a calendar for a challenge! This also adds to my total of cache finds in this LGA. Many years ago I used to drive past this shopping centre to and from my way to work. It certainly didn’t have delightful decorations such as these around this area, which was basically the back of a single set of shops then.
We picked up pizza for dinner here while I collected information to answer the questions for this Virtual, which also gave me a chance to admire the other art works in the vicinity too.

Decided it was a cooler day to get out and grab a few caches before the expected heatwave coming tomorrow. Bundoora was the spot today. Thanks Bundoorian for bringing me here today.
Outnabout for some solo caching. It’s always a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

An excellent detour - even though I’d been to these shops a hundred times, had no idea these stunning mosaics were here. Very tucked away, and would be nice to have them displayed more prominently. Made me very happy to have seen them though - thanks very much for this wonderful virtual cache!
A quick visit while we are in Melbourne for a weekend for a friends wedding. We don’t have any virtuals left near us at home so we targeted a few this morning. Mrs G is better looking than me so she did the selfie while I laughed at her and admired the larger mural nearby. TNLN TFTC
We visited the site of this virtual today…. Could not resist detouring here on the way to Christmas lunch.

Ever since the Whittlesea Challenge Wander Series were published I have been slowly working on qualifying for the [WCW- 6 Types every day Challenge (GCA0HZQ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA0HZQ).
So when I check the checker today and it said I needed to find a Virtual on the 20th I decided to take a look to see if I had any still within driving distance. Luckily enough for me that I still had found this one, so after work I was off to Bundoora.
A very fun little Virtual that is almost tucked away from everything. When I first read the cache page I assumed the Beautifying of Bundoora, would have been a bit more front and centre.
However, I was pleasantly surprised to see these bits of artwork off to the side. I was able to spend a bit more time with each piece and truly marvel at their beauty.
It was lovely to be able to see these beautiful works of art today. Thanks for bringing me out here today and TFTC.

Well, after spending several days in Whittlesea over the last weekend and the Mega, the very next weekend I have some time free and where do I finish up, yep, back in Whittlesea, but at least this time I'm finding geocaches
The time to find power trail geocaches is obviously just after a Mega as the geotrails were clearly defined and lead straight to the prize, happy days
The downside to just about all the geocaches found today was that they were heavily guarded by mozzies , generally a quick in and out in all cases.
I solved the range of puzzles over the last year or two and am only finally getting around to finding them.
**Thanks for placing this cache bunadoorian**

Visited this lovely area whilst in Victoria after leaving Whittlesea, couldn't find GZ until I investaged closer and out of the blue, there it was!
Beautiful artwork, so much has gone in to it all and well worth coming here to view.
Thanks bunadoorian for this lovely Virtual, was a pleasure to do

Well I am finally out of Whittlesea and on the road to Melbourne and surrounding counties. Checking to see what fun caches I can do and what LGA’s I am still needing to fill in. I have no set plans for the moment just what ever I see along the way.
This was a nice stop off after Whittlesea, not many people around here and it was an easy information grab here. I got some great pics of the artwork. Thanks for bringing me here I would never have stopped otherwise. Answers sent and reply received already, awesome thanks.

Well the Mega is over for another year and we're making our way slowly to the airport, picking out a few caches in the horrendous weather as we go. We had Mrs WW with us for the day. Answers sent in by budgietas for us all. We decided to stop here for lunch.
Thanks bunadoorian
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Tassie Trekkers, Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Mrs W today joined "Team Tassie" consisting of stainless-steel-rat, gooseandegg and Budgietas finding caches on the way back to the airport as we headed home after attending the Whittlesea Mega. It was a fun day to be out with great friends finding great caches. We stopped in Bundoora to find this virtual, answers sent and permission received from the CO to log. TFTV Grabbed a nice lunch from the kebab shop nearby.
Cool art!!!
With the Whittlesea Mega, its GPS maze and a number of events on over the weekend, GreyHams and myself set of for our four-day caching trip. Perhaps one of our trips with not much of a plan but we seemed to fill the days fully and ticked of what we had in mind.
The trip down was one that followed the most sensible route... past lots of virtuals and definitely not the most direct, perfect! With a number of AL's as we passed and a few caches of interest we arrived at Whittlesea in time for the evenings event.
Saturday's forecast wasn't the most favourable for caching but the challenge series at Mt disappointment was of interest, and it's a challenge series after all so what's a little rain! We did get lucky really and a few showers blew through but for the most part it was dry enough. It was a long walk and a huge push, but we made it back to the car, a little broken and sore but it was a great series and worth the suffering! (There was suffering!) The day also saw us through the maze, a few AL's, caches and events.
With the prep of the puzzles prior to the weekend it was a group approach of the solving team, the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group, logs signed WCCG for the Sunday. So great to head out with this group, a great trail of such variety of caches and locations. The huge storm overnight made it a little tricky with so much extra water about, a few downed trees, wet feet, some walks and a couple of leaches (was that just on me!) Great to collect these caches, or at least most of the ones we could.
It's not a caching trip without collecting new LGA's and we did manage a few extras, into Melbourne and its surrounds, feeling a bit stiff and sore from our huge walk it was a limp about for the rest of the weekend but cache on, we did!
Monday saw us back at the Mega for another event, a chance to finish of the AL's and a few last caches. Our journey home taking us through a few new LGA's, more virtuals, and caches of interest. A great weekend away, we filled all the days to the fullest. Many thanks to the Committee for organising and to all the CO's in the region and as we travelled about for your caches.

We have been planning our Whittlesea Mega trip for quite a while now, and then it was postponed, so new plans were made. It was finally time to make our way down with a convoy of myself and the FFLL ladies. We had a big weekend around Whittlesea with the ever-changing weather, fighting some hay fever, and finding a range of cache types. We also managed to catch up with a few cachers we had not seen for a while. We had a great time away, so thanks to all the COs and event hosts. Apologies in advance for the generic logs across the weekend finds, it in no way devalues any of the hides, we just have a lot of logs to write up.
Officially day 2 of the Mega, however day 3 for us in Whittlesea. Back to the Whittlesea showgrounds, a day of some more Showtime multis, TWC puzzles, labs and whatever we come across along the way. After a lovely walk along the Yan Yean Reservoir wall, we continued grabbing some more caches. We were nearby having dinner after another long day, when we noticed this on the map, literally 80m from where we were eating. It would be rude to not attempt it. Just our luck, the skies opened up again so it made for a very interesting and fun virtual, many laughs were had whilst working out the answers.
Many thanks to all the COs (including the event hosts) and thanks to the FFLL ladies for another funfilled weekend away.

After much planning and waiting, the time had come to head south for a few days to attend the Whittlesea Mega.
So, with the car packed, the convoy consisting of us and Rapidlywild hit the road. Our plans for the weekend included grabbing this series as well as others around the area.
The Victorian weather was interesting, definitely agree with the four seasons in a day, but it didn’t dampen our plans too much.
Day 3 of our adventures and today we headed back into Whittlesea to do some more Showtime multi’s, labs and TWC puzzles and anything else that crossed our path along the way.
After dinner very close by we walked to this one in the rain once again. Information was gathered and sent off to the Co with a very quick response. Nice looking artwork here, thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks for the VC bunadoorian

Another road trip adventure with Aquilus1 as we venture off from Canberra to go to the Whittlesea Mega. The major lure of course was the GPS Maze (we have attended 5 of these now!).
We went the longish way on Friday so as to collect virtuals and labs a little further west, its a shame that several of the labs could only be done travelling north..... at least we have WP1 done!
The weather was all a bit crap, with crazy wind, rain and swamps everywhere being a feature of the trip.
A huge day on Saturday of 30,000 steps around the new challenge trail at Mt Disappointment was not disappointing.....but it really hurt! We truly became "Limpy & Gimpy" as we hobbled around the showgrounds & did the maze afterwards. The glory!!!
Lucky for us Sunday was a day with mostly park & grabs in convoy, the result of a huge team effort to solve the WCW GeoArt at Whittlesea. I did venture out of the car to clear roads of fallen trees and even stood under a waterfall to retrieve a cache....the things we do! Have to shout out Albida for daring to take on the crazy steep track in his 4WD and Minniek for crossing the log!
Of course we didn't ignore counties as its always one of our major focuses. We ventured south into Melbourne late on the Sunday to collect several, as well as virtuals. I will never forget just how many mozzies were in the loo with me at the MCG!
Monday was a cleanup day with labs, another event and wherigo in Whittlesea (scroll down to the bottom to read the heavily edited logs! )
On the trip back we went a different route to collect some other counties and cool old caches. Car developed a slow leak which meant us putting air in it every 100-150km's, but it got us home!!
HUGE thank you for all the cache owners, if we signed your cache it was because it had a quality we were really chasing. BIG apologies to all other cache owners, we had SO MANY more we wanted to sign, but of course there just isn't enough time.

So it's the time of year again when the Victoria Mega is on, unfortunately could not make the Saturday so just a Sunday adventure.
Woke up super excited weather seemed to be holding and not too much rain forecast.
Drove up from Melbourne and met fellow cacher BackPaqer to start our day.
Started with the quick easy cache across the road, then onto the GPS maze, 12 caches completed and it's only 9:15am..
Next we started on Gadget Alley and completed 12 before heading into the main building to complete the Mega sign in
and get my picture with the frog to complete the locationless cache.
Also managed to swap a few path tags.
Next we headed for the Whereigo and the Multi in town..
Then onto some Mystery caches we had solved before the event.
Back into the Mega area for the Angry Mob cache and a few more lab caches.
Then a drive around to pick a few more local ones up and then it was time for the farewell meet up.
Leaving the event we found a letterbox cache and a virtual.. and finished up the day with an Earth cache on the drive home.
What an awesome day
Thanks for the virtual cache

Great to be picking up some of the many puzzles and multis solved over many months and trips, as well as collecting some letterboxes and trads and whatever else was in our path. ?????? Many are the worse for wear from all of the flooding and wet weather events.
At the end of the day was a bit of a county hunt with isopeda and barb2e, a great way to finish off a highly successful day.
This virtual is magic, loved it, a favourite from me.
Thanks so much bunadoorian for getting us out and about, and for the adventure highlights around Whittlesea. ??

After attending the Whittlesae Mega I needed a virtual to help with my well rounded cache day. Nearest is in Bundoora so here I am. Great mosaics. It's a shame they aren't in a more visible location.

Today, after the closing event at the Mega, Contesta, barb2e and I went off to chase counties (LGAs) and even though this is still in Whittlesea, it was to beautiful to not go past it.
Shame it's such a tight area that you can't step back and appreciate the whole thing.

Found with sharkiefan.
Mega time but this was just a day trip.
With lots to do, cache wise, we focused on the ad labs and the beginner puzzle series and the days events.
After the MEGA was done, for us, we headed back to Werribee.
Well with all the rain and such and being dark out, we wern't really going to be looking for any caches. But realising we had missed a turn (my fault, as i forgot to keep an eye on the TomTom) I checked the GPSr and had a chuckle to sharkiefan.
"Hay that Virtual is close by, the one i made comment about thismorning on the way up"
"Ok lets get it"
On the way up it was out of our way, but tonight it was on our back track detour to get back on track. So a quick re route and we were at GZ, but so was the torrential downpour. Taking in turns we darted out of the ute to gather the information. While one drenched cacher was out the other kept the lights on in the Ute.
Not quite the way to cache in the dark and rain, but this will certainly be a memorable Virtual for us.

We were there for the first event til the last.

Cool place to highlight. I bet no-one looks at this with as much attention as we did. Tftc

It's the first full day hanging out with Big Matt, cruising around seemingly arbitrary bits of outer Melbourne and beyond ahead of the [Whittlesea Mega-Event](https://coord.info/GC8EW40). I've been reasonably ignorant about the plan, and given I'm also the least familiar with the area, and not driving, I'm willingly along for the ride.
After a welcome, later-than-planned start to the day, this is our first stop. After cruising a few suburbs, we arrived at this unassuming location. We took a moment to even find the artwork, tucked away. The murals were easy to spot, but ultimately, following the compass would have worked wonders.
There at GZ is a well-hidden art display. Easy to miss. And I ponder how many locals even know it's here. But admire it for a little while is what we did, while collecting the relevant answers (now sent through). From here, we grabbed breakfast within a few steps and carried on with the day. Thanks for this virtual and showing me this public art, bunadoorian

This weekend, it was a flight and trip down to Melbourne to attend The Whittlesea 2022 Mega Event. I arrived on Thursday evening and had accommodation in Mill Park, which was a good strategic location between Whittlesea and Melbourne. I joined a few South Aussie friends as part of the “Aussies on Tour” (AOT) team, which consisted of e.gregory1, Freddo, gridge98, and Team Waldron.
Several geocaching series were completed, which included the Commonwealth Star Series (CSS), Whittlesea Puzzles for Beginners, Whittlesea Event Gadget Trail (WEGT), Whittlesea Challenge Wander (WCW), and the Whittlesea Compass (TWC). In addition, we targeted uncommon cache types, rare/unique D-T combinations, older caches and those with high Favourite Points. It was great to have visited Victoria's two 2000 hidden geocaches too (Victoria's 1st (Melbourne's 1st) and Devil Bend).
We were treated with great weather for the first couple of days, but then it deteriorated from Saturday afternoon with rain storms and high winds overnight and on Sunday.
We took a stop here as it wasn't too far from tonight's accommodation. I didn't realise that this mosaic alleyway wouldn't be too lit, so it felt a little dodgy for me to visiting these, but I did enjoy the random selection of artwork. After making a few counts and observations, I had a set of answers ready to satisfy this virtual cache's logging requirements. I messaged the answers to the CO for verification accordingly. Thanks bunadoorian for the virtual cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Myself and sebass19 headed off from Mill Park today, slowly meandering our way in a south-easterly direction. I had a huge list of caches that were worth picking up for varying reasons, so we didn't really have much of a plan apart from driving from each cache on the list to the next closest, following the small clusters as we went! Had an awesome day with many different cache types with unique stats!
