On my way home from a job in Southern Cross - stopped for a comfort stop in the rest bay across the road. Have stayed in the motel here for work - the pub makes great tucker!

Zig zagging through the area on this lovely sunny day, cold, but I have my new beanie and nice and warm! Everything is looking green and a nice drive. How unexpected, to see this cool pub! I've visited the one in NSW, I didn't realise there were more, now I know! Very cool! Trying to be quick to meet up with a friend for dinner, but getting a few caches still along the way. Thanks!

A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA and down to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield National Park, Wyndham, the Gibb River Road, Monkey Mia, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Laverton, Warburton, Kargoorlie, Westonia & Goomalling.TFTC. I had a couple of days off work so we set out to see some more of the wheatbelt towns. We stopped in Cunderdin for a coffee and to grab this Virtual. We have visited this pub a few times since it was built. The cafe was suppose to open at 10am but they must have been working on country time so we made our own in the camper.TFTC geotrakka

We have been exploring the Southern parts of Western Australia, visiting from the east for a few weeks. It has been an absolutely wonderful time for us, and we are sad to be heading gradually East again. We had the opportunity to come and visit the Ettamogah Pub today. Quirky and awesome we think this is absolutely appropriate and beautiful. It feels very Australian. We made plans for the Easter weekend to head to the Wheatbelt and do some exploring. We left home early this morning with Mukinbudin being the destination for our first night. We were grabbing a variety of Geo location things and were having a blast. #816 ~ Whaaaat??? This pub still looks like the original. Having just travelled from the East where the same pub was also built on the Sunshine Coast (I believe there were 3 built like this in Australia, with the other one near Albury), they were made to change the name & appearance of the pub due to some legal claim that the design was stolen from the cartoon or something along those lines. Anyway the Sunshine Coast Ettamogah Pub built in 1989 is now called the Banana Bender Pub. Anyway great to see this Aussie Icon still as I remember the QLD one TFTC geotrakka!!

Enjoyed lunch here today, then up to the look out for another find.3rd visit since moving to Dowerin just over a year ago.

After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day five travelling from Coolgardie to home in Balcatta on a 5 day 3,100km adventure. There are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that.I trucked on across the beautiful scenery grabbing many caches.It was a nice cool beautiful morning and i headed out of town to grab some caches to the north and back into town to grab a couple then headed west grabbing lots of caches on the final leg of my adventure.Thanks for the virtual cache geotrakka. this is the last of the caches for the day and now to trek home.

I found your D1.5/T1.0 Virtual Virtual called Etamogah Cunderdin - Virtual Reward 3.0 on 15 September 2023. It was find #18414 for me. Thank you geotrakka for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Western Australia.

Have travelled with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. After spending some time in Peterborough, Minlaton, Moonta,Whyalla and Wudinna we headed across the Nullarbor, picking up caches along the way including Kambalda and the Goldfields. Winding our way home now and a quick flit through Doodlakine, Muckinbudin and an overnight in Kellerberrin. Thanks geotrakka

Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)

After a first night camping in Kwolyin, we headed out to grab some surrounding.
Myself, Chickenhawk07, Granett, AlliedOz, The Fitzys and Geotrakka.

We called this our lunch spot and conveniently there was a cache here. The CO is a bit dodgy so I better do the right thing and update my previous photo I had showed her. Been to the original Ettamogah as well and used to read the comic back in the day.

A fav for a cool location.

I didn't realise these were all over the country, we had an Etamogah Pub on the Sunshine Coast in QLD but it was sold without its branding and is now known as the Banana Bender Pub. It looks completely different now and is nowhere near as good as the old Etamogah Pub. It's great to see one in all its glory again. Answer sent and fp added

Full time nomads since February 2014, back in WA to visit family.

Still tootling around the countryside picking up some smilies after WAGB. Based in Quairading for a couple of days we ducked out in the morning drizzle, thankfully it cleared up for the most part of our day.

The convoluted debate around the campfire this cache had while travelling with the Queen Victory Spring crew will be remembered for a while. We decided we would add a few photos as we dont mind the publicity.
We even managed to get our twins to be in a photo so you can get to see them. Sorry its taken a couple of weeks to get around to doing the log but the date is correct. The answer to the question will be sent as a message.

When this was published I though it was a great spot for a virtual. Each time I have driven past I have wanted to stop and have a meal.

Well today the planets aligned and here we were.

Took the required photo (attached) and stopped for lunch.

After spending a day or so in York we were off home via a long detour around Northam, Cunderdin and then south via Beverley and Boddington. We will grab some labs and other hides as we meander our way home.

Well, that's a bit of a disappointment!
We visited this town as a diversion from our planned route to refuel the van but failed to notice this new Virtual cache.
Cannot make out name on door from our photos so will have to DNF it.
