Day 40 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we headed to Hells Gate - Robmc did the walk while we had a mud bath and spa.In the afternoon we went rail cruising - a unique experience. We had time on our way to go around the lake and collect a few caches. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday.
Day forty of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Staying in Rotorua, visited Hell's Gate to play in the mud, then to play on a self drive train. We did a few caches and AdLabs in between. So many Bruce's, so little time.Today we stopped in to see if we had the right Bruce's, we did. Thanks, Robmc.
Had a great drive down to Rotorua and once settled into where we were staying it was back on the road to find some puzzle finals. Must of solved this some time ago, but it's been awhile since we have been down this way. No problems with the final location, TFTC
Whats up Brucie! The initial legwork for this was done a while ago but we didnt have the numbers. After a solid few days of caching, Reschedule finally picked this one back up last night after having his brain in mystery mode, sure enough he worked out what was needed. So a quick trip out to claim this find. TFTC.
Been looking at this one trying to identify all of the Bruces.. with a bit of Bruceforce managed to get a successful match for each. Right, now what? Put it down for a bit then picked it up lastnight - simple really how did I look past it! Quick swing by to log Brucie eh. Cache is all good. TFTC! TFTMC!
A wet start to the day again. Today mainly Roturoa and Taupe to discover. Lots of caches and adventures! TFTC Wilbert67
We are visiting New Zealand from Australia with Wilbert67.We have seen some new interesting places and picking up caches along the way.Thank you to all the COs for their hides
Completed a maintenance run today and Brucie was MIA but have replaced and updated hint.
Had solved this a while back and made s quick detour today to make the find while on our way to an event.
No problem with the find TFTC.

Solve this one ages ago so today was time to make the find. Look at wrong spot at first but found something that could make a good cache. Bonus find. When I approached right spot it was lying on the ground near hint. Seemed a bit odd where it was so pop it back to the hint. Tftc.
One of our young rattll's, when she was a toddler, decided to name her doll Bruce (after a family friend). She loved that doll, and Bruce went everywhere with us. We even made him his own passport for when we went to Australia. Customs were so cool - they even stamped his passport for her. However, the airport security dogs (not sure if they were looking for food or drugs?) were not so impressed with the smell of Bruce and he got a very up close and personal inspection . So glad it was only Bruce!!!
Anyway back to the puzzle. As with others before me, I instantly recognized a number of the Brucie's, googled some but couldn't identify one.
It took me an embarrassingly long while to figure out what to do with this information. Maybe I was to preoccupied reminiscing about the past- yip, I'll blame 'Bruce'!
Logging this with the COs permission as it was missing.
Thanks for setting this up

Having taken quite some time to work out where Brucie was hiding, I didn't manage to spot him today- he's a tricky buggar!
We are caching in and around Rotorua today, with a focus on collecting a few solved puzzles. We could instantly recognise some of these Brucie's but needed a bit more research to get the last of them. We made a quick stop here this morning and had no problems at all in making the find. Thanks.
Well well managed to meet all the Brucie 's and sort a solve. Have been visiting family the last few days and yahoo got a smilie here. Enjoyed the puzzle and had to call on my good ole Mr Google.
#11,638. I was staying overnight at my sisters place and heading back to Wellington today. I saw this was a new one since my last visit to Rotorua. One of our puzzle solving team is a Bruce so it was a no-brainer we would have a crack at this one. I recognised most of them but needed google to assist with some. I had forgotten about one of the Bruce's in your list. A very remarkable person in multiple ways. Soon had the solution and today I drove out here to find and sign the cache. It was a fairly straightforward find once I waited for a surprising number of muggles walking in this area to go past. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Geckoh for placing your cache here.
Kimbathelion solved this one. Off to find this one today. A beautiful day to be out today. Found it on the ground, so tucked back in where we thought it should be. TFTC
Had to ask CO about 3 Bruce's. Then first thing I tried didn't work so had another idea & that was perfect. Got to GZ & log was on the ground but tucked it in where I thought it belonged. Nice to see you, nice. Fav point for a clever but not too hard puzzle. Beautiful day to enjoy life today. Tftc
First one for the day and a bit cold over here
Nice puzzle and placement. Wake up Bruce TFTPC

With having a planned power outage from 9am to 4pm I decided that if I couldn't do any of the things on my list I might as well do some geocaches... and it was perfect weather for getting out and about. Solved this puzzle with khonig last week and didn't expect to go past GZ quite so soon but figured I might as well pick it up on my way home. Nice easy find TFTC
Managed to get half a day off work so set out for a sunny afternoon of caching. Took the back roads to Rotorua and now heading back. Was dark by now but still time to collect some urban caches. Nice to have some simpler puzzles to solve in anticipation of being in the area. Was brought up watching one of these Bruce’s every Saturday night. “Nice to see you, to see you nice”. Cache all fine. Thanks Geckoh for the smiley.
Took me a while to identify most of these characters, and learnt about what some look like nowadays, one of the musicians almost escaped me, must be what he's like when not on the Range; but that's the way it is, some things will never change. Good game, good game and good find at GZ. FP for a trio of Geckoh finds today in the non-rain.
The weather had been predicted to be wet today all through the week but slowly changed as time went by. We'd already agreed it would be an easy day with a stroll around the CBD and shops and lunch out. I took advantage of a predicted dry spell first up before breakfast to whip out and find a few, and a nice first visit to Hannah's Bay, lovely area to take mrs c to in the future.
Having travelled down from Northland, via Auckland, on Thursday we were keen for our 3 day visit to Rotorua and surrounds with some weather challenges possible. Vowing to get the best we can from our visit, we had a great time visiting and grabbed a few caches (more quality than quantity) as well as a bonus FTF on the last morning before heading home. Surprised to beat the locals to the Gold medal on their turf but good to get my tenth regional NZ FTF.
It's time to meet grandchild number 16 and a previously booked break to say hi, or await arrival, is now here. We are off to Northland via an overnight in Auckland, then 2 nights in Ngunguru then a trip down to Rotorua before heading back home next week.
Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

I owe this one to TBS. He loves to solve puzzles and help me solve puzzles. If he was here in NZ he could put his name to the claim but for now I’ll add it to my list.
One interesting bit if information is that the roads out here are Melbourne suburbs. quite fitting actually as I’m from near there.
Cache was found on the ground so put it back to where I thought it should be.

After quite a lot of googling, did manage to identify (we 'think') all of the faces. But couldn't get the numbers to work. We were pretty confident that we had the right idea, so then decided at least one of our numbers was wrong, and indeed it was - just the one, a couple of digits out, but that sure can move things around quite some distance on the map.
Off down to Napier for the weekend... stopped for this one on the way .... and now to find a coffee before we leave town.... Thanks for the puzzle and the cache; great fun.

Well, Brucie. It's funny how the "familiar" of Bruce is Brucie. I know a few Bruces and it's supposedly a very huh huh masculine name so I guess if they are not then Brucie it is?? My nephew is the epitome of masculinity - a hunter gatherer and no one but his mother called him Brucie. He now has a beautiful wife and, well he is definitely now a Brucie. As to the featured Brucie's well I got quite familiar with them too. Quite familiar, I guess their mothers called them Brucie too. Thanks for the puzzle Geckoh.
Nice puzzle so was happy to come home this way to pick up the Final
Still nice and dry thanks

Solved fairly quickly after publication, although one picture needed a bit of brute force. Finally got over to Rotorua and the cache has gone walkabout. Replaced with CO's permission. Fun puzzle. TFTC.
I'd always wondered how many Virtuals I could complete in a day and a recent Trade Me purchase that required collection from Auckland meant that today was the day. An awesome but long drive ahead looping Tauranga, Rotorua, Waitomo, Hamilton, Auckland, Waihi to home. I managed 21 Virtuals today but naturally I got a couple of extras as well - this was one of them.
The puzzle was pretty straight forward but still took a little googling and even then I ended up guessing a couple until I got the tick. Cheers Geckoh, an area I drive past frequently haha. TFTC

As the summer months come to an end, and with daylight savings ending for us real soon, it's time for an extended weekend trip to Rotorua (from Wellington). Lots of activities are on the agenda, and geocaching is one of them. I had several specific caches marked to find on this trip, some to meet specific requirements, some were such fun puzzle solves that I just had to come and sign the log, and are some just because. This cache is one of them.
Despite not including my favorite Brucie (Willis) I still had no trouble with this fun tribute. Stopped by today to sign the log, all safe and dry.
Thanks to Geckoh for placing this cache here.

Nice to come out and get some new smileys. Quite a bit of traffic around today.
Hi Bruce, bye Bruce. On a quick mission today as I had a few hours free.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

The end of the working day came, and I decided to take the long way home. I haven't gone caching in a little while, so let's do that...
Solved this puzzle quickly on the day that it was published. One Brucie was an unknown, but the checker allowed for guesses before we stumbled on the right configuration. We had an immediate urge to rush out and be first to visit, but the moment passed... It helped to arrive at a quiet time, when traffic was minimal. We spotted a potential hiding place and made a beeline for it. A quick, straight forward find - Thanks Geckoh. TFTP and TFTC.

(FTF) log to follow just a bit busy at moment
Eheh Brucie got the (FTF) at 2pm. I saw this one pop up near home while recovering in bed from drinking with my son and his mates. The puzzle is well done I especially enjoyed the videos. Merlot58 and I quickly teamed up on this one to solve fairly quickly only one of the Brucie we couldn’t identify but it didn’t stop us solving the puzzle. Then it was a long 2.5km return walk to get the cache normally would be a quick run but in no shape to run today it’s been a long time since I’ve tried to keep up with the kids drinking games won’t be doing that again anytime soon. FP for this one thanks team Geckoh
