Mum was passing on the way to Oxford so she stopped to check on this one. After a lengthy search all over the cannon just incase it had been moved nothing was found. So, a new cache has been placed. All good to go here again. Happy Caching
Unfortunately I had no luck. Got to have a good look around at the markets earlier before they closed.
fairly quick find in the continuing rain! Glad you replaced this. Have seen one of these in working order in days gone by, incredible amount of power. TFTC
On a overnight trip to the Coast for a funeral tomorrow. Even though raining was happy to stop and find this cache. Now have a nice smile here. Thanks for replacing this cache gracie7 +Mum.
No one around today, quick find. Took a break from driving to read the info board. TFTC
Thanks for a quick stop.once we stopped to use rest room I thought that place would be a good spot for a cache. Then when I looked wow it had one.
We've just spent a great night staying at the Theatre Royal Hotel, on our way north now. TFTC
I parked overnight at the Sports Field, so made sure to grab this cache nearby in the morning before heading off, no problems here, TFTC
We came out here for a drive this afternoon expecting a visitor or 2 over the Easter break. The cache was missing so we replaced it, Check out the new hint. Happy Caching
Our third time trying to find this very clever cache. This time 3 of us searched and inspected for 30mins. A muggle came over and said you must be searching for a geocache. Tried to help for a bit then left. We thought the first time we weren't concentrating so tried again. Today we stayed and were in no hurry but not meant to be. This Cannon really deserves a cache.
A je to opravdu mokr krajina - pobe Tasmanova moe, do kterho st mnoho ndhern modrch ek tekoucch z hor a ledovc, taky jezera a mokady a vude kolem detn les. Tam dojedu ovem a ztra. Dnes spm ve starm a opravdu zajmavm a bizarnm hotelu Otira Stagecoach Hotel. In the morning I went for a walk to the viewpoints of the Franz Josef glacier and found the only cache in the area. The view was pretty decent, even though it was cloudy. Then I moved along the Glacier Hwy through the wetland area and stopped at caches and attractions. I drove to the center of the gold mining area and saw the local museum and old houses and hotels. After the Alpine Hwy, I started to approach the mountains again and ended up for the night at the slightly bizarre Otira Stagecoach Hotel. There's everything from the stagecoach to Gandalf and Gollum from The Lord of the Rings. So hopefully I'll live to see the morning . Thanks to everyone for the caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.

A pit stop was the reason why I stopped at this location. It would have been rude to not check to see if there was a geocache nearby and I was pleased to discovered there was one. What an interesting feature. It didn't matter as I was in no hurry but it took quite a bit longer to find this wee treasure than it should have.
Standing here in the rain imagining the miners of old blasting water down the hills hoping for the magic gold! Starting our trek from the West Coast via Arthurs Pass. TFTC for the cache and the history
Short stop. Interesting cannon and 3 hobit holes nearby:)Thanks for the cache and greetings from the Czech Republic.
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. With the steady rains falling we were thrilled this was a quick find. Added our ink to the log and headed up the highway in search of more smilies. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Today's road trip is from Runanga to Jacksons to Mitchells, Kumara and then back to my snail shell at Runanga.I had to wait for the muggles to go or look the other way while I retrieved and replaced the cache.Cheers for the cache, Gracie7 + Mum.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case gracie7 + Mum, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
Nice quick find here - now onto the boards for the multies! TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Down south from Tauranga. On a roadie with a group of friends. Great to collect a few caches along the way. Many thanks.I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. Its just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.
Lunch at the playground, and then find the public toilets! And it would be rude not to sluice for a little gold at the same time...!
Good spot to let the dogs out on the way to the east coast. Lovely spot. Great bit of history. Tftc
Quick toilet stop
Place of obvious history so quickly logged in to see if there was one here....and there was..thank you

#22953. Troodles thought we were looking for nano, but happily the cache was a micro, and was easy to see when I looked from the right angle. TFTC.
While I visited the nearby facilities, StreetWalkerNZ got stuck in and found the cache. First to sign the new log book!
An interesting relic that I hadn't noticed before. TFTC.

G'day from Australia!!!
Stumble Trip had been in NZ for the past 6mths, working on the Milford Track. Stumble's Mate flew in to meet up with her and we spent the next 2wks traveling the beautiful South Island in a camper. Whilst the weather wasn't favourable for the first week, we had an awesome time and travelled some 3,200+kms, seeing some beautiful sites and staying in just as beautiful campsite along the way.
Thanks to all the CO. Unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Caching my way by bike from Greymouth to Kumara and back today.
The Survivor series complete apart from a pesky letterbox and now onto Kumara's treasure.
Down on my knees again and found, not in the first place I looked.
A pretty good complex for camping tourists.

Day three cycling, on our way to Greymouth tomorrow. Staying at the Pub. Nice hide, thanks.
Quick find after 50 km ride in from the south along the West Coast Wilderness Bike Trail, on pedal bikes, not electric ones.
After a bike ride from Greymouth and a couple of pints in the local pub… we were back at the caravan parked up in this carpark for the night. Was hoping I didn’t have to bend over too far for this… but was in easy reach.

Just time for one last find before we headed back to Christchurch. This cache was a quick find. TFTC.
We are travelling from Christchurch to Westport to Greymouth and back home over the next 6 days Found on our way home
Found it! Took longer than it ought to have, given the hint and the dearth of places it could be! TFTC!
Another break for the kids (they are geting quite a few in the short stretch of town) and let them go hunt it down. Which they did after a while. Cheers, spent a while explaining how it worked to them.
Due to the the COVID-19 pandemic it has been four years since we last made the long trip from California to New Zealand to visit our kiwi kin. In addition to enjoying our time together we are enjoying finding some geocaches, too.
We had five people looking for the cache with little luck. Just as we were about to give up the sixth member of our party dived in and quickly made the find.
