Found TFTC, what an awesome place never been here

I think I had the right tree after googling what they looked like, a handicap coming from overseas and not knowing the locals. But no luck for me today with this one though I had a nice walk around the reserve after.

Second dnf in a row! I think I found the tree though...

Good to put a smiley face on this one after not finding it the first time. TFTC

Looked for awhile but no luck

While KR did the Ad Lab, I looked for this. When he returned, we still had no luck.

No luck today. Hunted around for a while.Next time.......

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the NZMCA Park in Bell Block, New Plymouth … decided we’d go for a drive to the Ratapihipihi Reserve & pick up the DoC Kiwi Guardian … while there we decided to walk the loop tracks & see about some caches … deceptive little reserve, with quite an extensive network of tracks which we enjoyed … this cache was easily found, log-book completed & safely returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,359 for us!

Took the kids out with their grandparents for a walk around the reserve. This cache was quickly found. TFTC

We came to this amazing place for the Kiwi Guardian medal code and so grateful for it. This bush reserve is a real treasure. Cache in good condition.

Quick find by the kids while here to do the Kiwi guardians adventure. Nice to have bonus caches to find! TFTC

Heading up to New Plymouth with BFG for a weekend out of Wellington. The only one of the set in the reserve I was able to find whilst doing the Adventure Labs here. Phone reception lost in some areas!

Realised this afternoon at Card Making Class it was a dot day for me, so finished my christmas calender and off I went, no brother called, he was down the beach and so popped over to see him, so many people swimming at Ngamotu Beach, so tempted, but a cache was to be found, so found this one quickly, tftc TaraTed

I've found this cache during my first day of the Queen memorial weekend in Taranaki.
Found it actually on the way back.
I was focused on pohutukawa tree.... Well.

Popped out here just to walk this reserve and collect a few caches. A great start finding this nice and quickly. Nice and dry. Tftc

We visited out here to sit in the sun and enjoy an afternoon tea but the tables were all in the shade so I only located the first cache at the entrance and left the bottom cache for another time This is a lovely piece of bush and i enjoyed locating the earlier caches that were here last time i visited this reserve . I made it heaps harder than it should have been by approaching from the wrong angle but it was soon in hand signed and replaced, I took nothing and left nothing . thank you for this cache .

Out for a walk on this beautiful Good Friday along one of the tracks that I first encountered years ago ( when Egmont Roses was still a flourishing business just up the road). Did the whole loop today, and enjoyed finding the 2 new caches here. A lovely quiet reserve, with only a few tuis adding their song. Thanks TaraTed

After a successful find back in the bush we of course accidentally took the longest route back but was a nice peaceful walk so it wasn’t too bad on GigiEV’s legs after the trekking we’d already done up the mountain this morning.
A quick find here after having a look at a hut someone had made nearby TFTC

The Tuis were singing their songs all around us here on this nice day. Thanks for the new caches!

This was a running spot I used to visit now I just walk so it was nice to have the cache at the start thanks TT for the placement picked up TB TFTC

I saw this email while I was having breakfast but wasn't sure if I could get to it in time. Thankfully the opportunity arose and I was off.
No cars at the carpark, that's a good start. Searched the wrong spot and then the right spot and found an empty log!
Now I had a broken pen to contend with, but I managed to sign the log with the ink part of the pen alright - name is smaller than the time and date but otherwise good.
Now back home for a coffee and to log the cache.
I fixed my pen too, the piece had fallen off in the car.
Left a TB.
