Logs
Found with DARKSIDEDAN and Aykayem on a lovely, short night walk around Mt Taylor. Quick find at GZ, a nicely sized container. TFTC!
Found quickly today, a quick drive up waldock, now I can say Im yellow on mount Taylor. Tftc
Out and about with fitzy_1965 today. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.
34,141. Found with minniek during a run around South Canberra. After finishing off the cache on Mt Tuggeranong we decided that a couple more were in order. Two lonely looking caches on the north side of Mt Taylor did the trick. Parked in the car park and did the short walk to GZ. Quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then back down to the car and the next cache. Thanks InnocentApple !!
Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more caches in the Mt Taylor area including the Adventure Lab, some puzzles solved in 2021 that I havent had a chance to get to and some challenging multis. Found this cache and signed the log.Accurate coords and found as per the hint. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance!
Found this cache along my mission to collect a nearby Golden oldie..Nice walk even if it was steep in sections.
I loved this cache!
To get to it, I had to fight a staring competition on a kangaroo that didn’t want to move away from the tree.
Eventually I won and she decided to go pursue another cache
Picture of foggy mount Taylor today

I needed a trad for the day and had a small window of opportunity between dropping off the offspring in Belconnen and getting myself to my First Aid course in Philipp. I will now be sitting there, picking grass seeds out of my socks.
Quick find. Kookaburras cackling away nearby.

Back in Australia after a long overdue visit to NZ, I went out for an evening walk to Mt Taylor with some trackables I had picked up. As waypoint for my stroll, the new caches in the area - and a few old ones I had foound before but forgotten to log!
Mystery Tree: I walked a few circles around this one before identifying it, but once in place it was quickly retrieved.

Back out the car dealership for a replacement remote, swung by for a quick find. Crappy day outside today. TNLNSL TFTC
Quick find today with a few more people on the hill. Cache nice amd dry even if my feet weren't when I took the direct route back. Tftc
The day has arrived much dryer than promised. Maybe it just means it will rain more tomorrow. I had the day planned around a dental appointment, so I stayed in during the morning watching F1 and baseball, only to find out the dentist was unwell and I could go out anytime I wanted. I still waited till after lunch to head down south for a few caches towards today's targets. Very wet underfoot at places and of course a few spots of rain.
This was one of two very short walks from the road up to the car park. Plenty of water on the ground, but the cache was fine.
Thanks for the cache InnocentApple

Last minute decision for a drive to Canberra. Left last night after work and slept in the car near Ginninderra. This morning a few quick caches and then a Parkrun. Weather better then last night luckily. After the run slowly worked my way to central and also started to pick up some adventure labs.

# 8220 I'm here today for the Sri Chinmoy 100km running event. I'm not actually running, just supporting my partner iPlod65 who likes such events. I found this one after she headed off. A quick find in the end, not so mysterious.
Thanks InnocentApple

#16291 - 3:36:00 PM; Out on an afternoon caching run around Weston Creek and Woden with Sol de lune to top up the daily finds calender. No problems finding this one and adding our names to the log, spotting the likely hide as we headed towards GZ. TFTC InnocentApple
Out on a run with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. Walked up to this on the way to a puzzle a little further up the hill. At the GZ the cache was quickly spotted and the log signed.
Thanks IA.....great looking container and the cache in good condition.

Always fun to be careering around the countryside in the eTOTT with the sun shining on my back and the wind clearing out the cobwebs.
There was a time when I thought drivebys were great, now I think cyclebys are the best, so long as I don't have to leave it too far out sight

#2320 While back on the hill for another waypoint of Workout 101, I took the opportunity to duck over here and claim this find. Thanks InnocentApple for the cache.
I am finally able to do a little hiking and with a dropoff of Dino southside I was keen to do some caches on the foothill of Mt Taylor.
Quick find, nice location, all in good order
Should have had FTF on this made my way up here on crutches but the coorda were out. MB went check on this tree but I guess missed it at the time.
Thank you InnocentApple for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Cache and log are good. Nice container; sturdy and a good size. I brought a bracelet to leave, but wished on seeing the cache I had chosen a bigger piece of jewellery. Anyway, I left a Japanese, stainless-steel bracelet with moonstone looking inserts. A favourite tick for the decent container. TFTC InnocentApple.
Love the container, seems pretty sturdy and would make a good cache in a hard to access location. Not sure why this is a mystery, but maybe that is why it is a mystery. Hmmm?

A short little stroll from the car park. Nice container. Thanks for the cache.
After the event today, Tankengine, Aquilus1 and I went and picked up a few caches before heading home.
This cache: Another quick find. Tftc!!!

Out with dty73 and Tankengine for a little caching for the day, on our way home with a little time to stop in here for for a few more. The idea of walking up the hill wasn't sounding good but it was short and easy... and not so much up but around. Nice short walk in the end and a great little container found too. TFTC InnocentApple.

Chooo ooo [Found] it this time! Whilst in the area! Much easier this time! Nice quick find here! Thanks InnocentApple!
A frustrating DNF here. Arrived to find two other cachers already on scene, and after looking around the gassy clearing - bereft of rocks, mystery or otherwise - for about 10 minutes, we widened the search to nearby trees without luck.
Disabling this for now, until I get the coordinates fixed up, this afternoon.
Coordinates changed from:
S 35° 21.979 E 149° 4.328
Coordinates changed to:
S 35° 21.979 E 149° 4.316
Distance from original: 59.6 feet or 18.2 meters.
Realised I punched mixed up coords, so this one should be OK.

A DNF for me this morning! Climbed up the hill with Flintstone's (on crutches!!!) for nothing!
I wish the CO would be more carful when publishing caches - that is two in a row that have had errors!

Arrived in the region and decided to try it whilst it was disabled. Couldnt find any rocks as per the name so went for a wander and bingo.
As i was logging a short time later i noticed it was enabled . Nice views from here . Still didnt see any rocks but noticed title was changed.
There were some huge mushrooms nearby as per photo. Signed the FTF position.
Thanks to Innocent Apple for the cache hide.
A frustratingly belated second to find.
As per my previous log arrived at the original coordinates for a differently named cache thismorning with Tankengine and Flintstones (who is very very fast on crutches!), but we couldn't find it (or any rocks) so called it quits.
When reaching out for clarification later today the CO identified their published coordinates were wrong, gave me the 'correct' ones (about 500m away), so when I saw this was re-enabled I went to sign it (Yay! in the [FTF] position!) at the provided co-ordinates, but I realised something was amiss when I saw Farmers 5's car whizzing past where I'd parked for this cache. Ahh, the name for the cache I thought I was at has changed as well and the co-ordinates are different again - I've actually signed an unpublished cache. Well, at least this one was a nice, straightforward find.
A bit further up this hill I located 'this' cache with its new name, new coordinates and noticed annoyingly we'd stopped our search just short of this tree earlier thismorning. Signed & logged. Well done Farmers 5 for being there first.
And for those who find another IA cache when it's eventually published, about 500m away from here with my name on the log first with today's date, well, you can probably disregard my name as that cache has yet to be published.
Sigh. A frustrating adventure. 10/10 wouldn't recommend.
