Well that was a fair bit easier than last time!I didnt even have to get out the gps, I knew the area so well now! Lots of new builders rubble has taken away many of the possible hides.Cool cache. I wonder if the last one wandered downstream and if so, if someone will find it one day!
With the updated clue and a previous find very recently from a different player , I decided I would try to find the cache as I was at the shops. When I pulled up, I bumped into brand new player ssharm and her geokid. We let her geokid find the cache and I gave them some pointers as this was like their 4th find. It was great to find the cache as well as meet a new player, as so many other players have helped me with my geocaching when I started. Such a great cache container and it fits the surrounding area perfectly. Thanks for the updated clue, seems a 3rd time is a charm for me with this one. TFTC
Avenged a DNF from yesterday here today at 7:45am. Nice cool weather and zero muggles (that I could see. Never know who is watching through windows).Have a FP grub Fred and thanks for doing maintenance so quickly yesterday. Great to log this one as found TFTC
Ha!Is that a hint or a taunt? I gave it a good go, but perhaps I shouldnt try for such caches in the dark.
Had a good look through and missed out this time will have to try again at another time.
Embarrassingly read the unit as an Ancient Roman reference LOL! Eventually found. TFTC!
I admit I am not the greatest when it comes caches like this one. The hint didnt help so I decided I would come back a different day and look again because I dont live too far from where the cache is hidden.
Bowled this over quickly. My first cache for the day, and ended up back inside the Bowlo at the end of the day. OCW Shaneo58. TFTC Grub Fred
Tftc Grub Fred, we are in Newcastle for Christmas and as we needed a few supplies at the nearby shops, had to stop here and look for this cache.Read the "helpful" hint ! and commenced our search. It wasn't much longer until BL had located a nicely themed container.Thanks.
In the vicinity today to try and bag some urban caches. Great container for this and just what I was looking for! Thanks Grub
This seemed to take a whole lot longer than expected. For some reason I always struggle in amongst rocks. I had time up my sleeve, so persisted until I had the prize in hand. TFTC
Found at 4:00 PM GAFF4.
Staying at Grub Fred's place for the night and one of the rituals is to go to the Kotara Bowls Club each afternoon and have a beer, so after a little caching around during the afternoon, we headed over for a drink and had a lovely chat with a few of the pisspots
Before that though I was honored to be led to the resurrection of the original bowls cache that was placed as a game piece during the Diamond Head event a couple of years ago. Nothing like the original, but it will do for now
Thanks to Grub Fred

Found a few days ago such a nice area, first time meeting another geocacher while looking for the cache which was nice. signed the log and added a sticker TFTF
Thanks for replacing. With a little help from the windows I eventually found it. Twas like playing charades. I think they enjoyed the find more than I did. Lol. Tftc. Fav for the container.
We are heading up the coast to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.
Out grabbing a few around this area after lunch at the club. The container was found after a bit of a search. We were almost about to give up but expanded the search before Mr H came up with the goods. Love the container, so given a fav.
Thanks Grub Fred for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

We called in here on our return home and soon decided where to search. This location is never easy for me and it did take a while before I found just the right place and soon spotted a glimpse of the cache. With a quick log completed I half expected a cheer from the galleries, but not to be this time. Thanks Grub Fred for an excellent hide, a favourite based on how long I reckon it would take me to produce this. Enjoy your next roll up.
I had a decent look, haveing a poke around, waiting for some heckles from the club. But go neither. No one playing Old Man Marbles today. Looked at the last log, and have since confirmed, that that log may be a litle incorrect. He was there, but then again maybe he wasn't completley there. Will come back another day.
DNF
Had help from Shaneo
Who knew the location and it wasn’t there
Requesting owner maintenance on this one!

Finally decided to tackle this one today. Was able to find it without attracting attention. Gotta hand it to the master of engineering for coming up with this unique cache. Thanks Grub Fred for this hide near your beloved club. Giving it a fav point.
TFTC and I love the cache holder. So unique and it deserves a favourite point from me. I’m out geocaching today with Deni-f and having a great time. Nobody applauded us when we found it.
Another great find with Techsavvy9 today. A very unique cache to this area. Cache is wet but log is dry. TFTC
A great location and a well constructed cache. I'll give this a favourite for the planning required and great execution

Quick find at night to try and avoid the muggles. Really cool camo for the cache and I appreciate the effort that went in for making it. Nice spot too. TFTC!!! #1938

After a family filled morning I was sent in a shopping run and had a couple of hours to cache. Found a few nicely designed caches - turnover seems high in Newcastle but left some got next visit.
With 9 favourites from 12 logs I had to divert via this one. Took a while to find the right rocks (there are a few here) and when I did had to wait for a dog walker to pass. Sort of knew what to expect here but still a Nice piece of kit. Another favourite added.

Deliberately came here early so that we would not be overlooked while we searched. Imagine our surprise when the nearby road workers started encouraging us telling us we were getting hot etc. They were very good-natured, said they would have to start-up caching and encouraged us further. Loved the container. TFTC and a favourite.

Found with eemiaj, with a little bit of help from a previous finder. I love the cache camo, definitely worth a Fave Point. TFTC
We came earlier in the day but with roadworks ten feet away we decided to wait until after hours.
A quick find and an awesome container. Definitely an FP from us. TNLN TFTC

This one was fortuitous, I had finished work early, and had just picked up the boys early from school, so we could head off on a weekend caching trip to Walcha and Tamworth, when this popped up. We diverted home through Kotara, parked in the fenced off carpark with permission of the workers, and started searching.
It certainly took a few minutes and a bit of head scratching, but eventually the tell-tale SPOR was spotted and the prize within, and a very cool camo too. The fresh logsheet was admired and rehidden away. TFTC Grub Fred, worth an FP I think.

Living only 300m away , I thought I might get a FTF, but missed by a couple of minutes. A tricky hide and an ingenious cache . I play bowls here and have rolled a few wayward shots but not that bad. (Yet). TFTC GrubFred. A fav for me.
