Caching in the area we pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

Once at the first WP1 we finally came up with the co-ods that worked for us. Took some time, but got there in the end. Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition.

Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Down from Townsville with GC_Diver and BenM70 to raid the new rare DT on offer and pick up some mysteries and multis to add to our totals. Most logs signed BBG to save time and space.

Quick solve and grab. Should really be listed as a multi.

Thanks alphag_25 for giving us some targets and for saving me from the bogan invasion at the Townsville Show.

Nice easy find in the dark.
Numerous new caches have been sitting untouched in Mackay since April / May, so of course Townsville’s FTF hounds were interested in adding those attractive D/T ratings to the collection of finds during this long weekend. First and foremost, some of these rare ratings would allow me to fill my D/T matrix grid a bit further using only FTFs. Additionally this brings me now to the 39th consecutive month with an FTF to continue my monthly streak. Apart of that, these and other caches on the list for this weekend count towards my next general matrix loop, as well as bring me closer to filling a D/T matrix grid using only Traditional caches. So overall indeed a great collection to get. The nicely themed mysteries in the list I had already solved some time ago and so it was great to get them at last.
The weekend started a bit late as a Maker Magic Event was scheduled for the Saturday morning in Townsville. After this was ticked off and some issues with the car sorted we finally hit the road until arriving in Mackay in no time. Thank you very much alphag_25 for creating and maintaining Flight it was great fun getting it. Also a big thank you to burgo78 for providing the chauffeur services on the land and water, and to BenM70 for doing the tree fishing! Caches were signed as team BBG to save space and time.

Picked the Townsville long weekend holiday to head down to the Mackay neck of the woods to do the freshwater series and pick up a few landlocked mysteries, multis and the odd traditional. Caches signed as BBG for the team of burgo78, BenM70 and GC Diver or individual caching names in places where one of us had found it previously.
Had the plane sussed from afar and the cache was a quick find.
Thanks alphag_25 for placing this Mystery for my find # 4387 and encouraging us to drive down from Townsville by putting these out.
Some decent targets and needed DT combinations had been distributed around the Mackay area since I had last visited and the number of FTF’s had grown to the point where they needed our attention. I think we generously left one for those chasing monthly FTFs as not to appear too gluttonous but failing miserable to pull it off.

A some what last moment trip to town so got solving on a few of the puzzles and art work. No boat and not enough time so the T5’s will have to wait and would prefer a crew given the potential for big green lizards. A great couple of days in between other activities. Wasn’t sure how I would go with some of the T4.5’s and suspect some will be easier by boat but with some careful timing and keeping an eye out picked off most of them. A few searches and bites of various sorts but no sightings of those able to give really big bites

Mackay Day 2
Having a 3 night stay to find some of the many caches in the area.
Thought we would cache along the rivers edge but the grass was so high so after doing a few we decided to abandon that plan so we then resorted to plan B which was cachers closer to town agaim
We found a good variety of caches some in places we had not visited before.
With a little googling we were able gather the information to find this cache.
Thankyou alphag_25 for placing this cache.

A lovely simple field puzzle, highlighting a bit of history here. After inputting the correct information, we did a bit of googling to find out a little bit more about the man who flew this plane.
Thanks alphag_25 for showing us this area of Mackay. Log signed.

We had to meet someone flying in to the airport today so while we were here we decided to check if there was any caches around. Delighted to spot this one only a short distance away, we obtained the coordinates as we waited for them to take off again and then dropped into GZ after we left. TFTC alphag_25

We technically haven't found the cache itself yet but we are one step closer having established the Co-Ord's at the initial location : ) Frustration was the name of the game this morning while we tried to find an app/program/website to enter the Co-Ord's for the next destination. We are coming for you 'Flight' - we will be back : )

*FTF*

After hearing there was a new cache at lunch time I didn't think I had any chance of getting the FTF.
Checked the app after work and no logs.
Took a punt and headed to the gz.
Got the coords from certitude and headed to where they said to go.
A quick find and clean sheet.

Thanks alphag for the new hide and the FTF.
