Reperio 07:58Day 6 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I today travelled from just outside of the ACT to home in Orange. With a number of caches left to do around Murrumbateman and Yass, we stopped by a few in this area before taking an extended route back home to Orange. Our final day was another fantastic day of caching, with very few caches that went unfound. Gratias DARKSIDEDANAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Found it: 30/03/2024Sorry for falling behind with logs. Ive been busy catching up with family and also been unwell. I havent completed logs from events - QOBM, Leap Day and Canberra Mega, so am catching up now. Thank you for the cache and hunt.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out late morning. Fantastic warm weather today, woo hoo! Headed south today looking for caches as we head towards a major milestone.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

I've enjoyed seeing many places and beautiful views and very different from other states. Beautiful day and saw thick fogs Beautiful drive country road with my brand new Prado 4x4 With Deaf TeamThank you so much
More big days of caching as WAC consisting of Lachlan1.77, Leg5, neva2old, Barnzy12 and me. So many caches, so little time. Too many tree climbs for my liking but Im a chicken from way back. Thanks to other cachers for helping supply some of the required tools for the higher terrain caches. Thanks to you (and ALL7) for supplying the bulk of the hides Im finding.
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega. One of many hidden caches all over the city and surrounds on Mega Day itself. Part of deaf geocachers and friends - WACDG, TFTC
Found with a group and signed as WACDG during Mega event. DARKSIDEDAN, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Another massive day with the WA Crew signing WAC. If we arent up trees, we are wading through water or hiking mountains. We are grateful for locals who have shared their TOTT with us. Since we all flew to get to Canberra, it wasnt possible to bring the tools necessary for the high terrain caches. For some of the day we cached with an awesome group signing DG as deaf group; truly a generous and welcoming group. Thanks for your contribution in hiding this cache to make our experience as amazing as its been so far. Please forgive us if the dates are incorrect; we are catching up online logging whenever we find time.
Hot weather today on country road. Found with a group and signed as WACDG during Mega event. TFTC

A day out with jojoo57, AussieLiahona, and Richmond Lad. I enjoyed being a passenger in a geomobile for a change. ?? Log signed, cache returned to its spot and we continued on our way. Caches signed as JARS. TFTC.
A day out caching west of Murrumbateman saw Team JAR finding quite a few caches but leaving the high climbs etc to the more able cachers. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find and admire the lovely countryside.
Out caching today with friends. 4 of us having a fun time each trying to be the first to get a hold of the cache. We signed as team JARS to save log room. Joojoo57, Aussie Liahona, RichmondLad and Selva Girls. Many thanks to all the COs who hid the caches we found today for ensuring this was a great caching day while we were attending the MEGA.Cheers and happy caching!

Geoturtle37 and I are heading to the Canberra Mega but have some time to spare. As we have been to this general area a few times, we are going to fill in our time with basically, "whichever cache is next closest". Thank you for making that possible with the placing of this cache for all to enjoy.
Yass Day 4 0our last day staying for a few days at the showgroundsA large variety of DTs completed today. Suausages, frogs Lizard & challenge caches are included in our trip. This was a great way to visit the area,Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for hiding this cache.
A quick find accompanied by a spectacular sunset. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN
An afternoon of caching around Yass. Found around 35 caches. Quick find here. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the many caches to find in the area.
Find # 10683Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours/day of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than decrease Looking at my stats I have a personal goal to meet before year end and its not an altogether small one. BUT when Im on a mission anything could happen. So with this in mind I put the offer of a day caching out to my friend barb2e, and what do you know, shes been going stir crazy it seems and needs to get out. Oooeeeee! Loaded the geomobile with every TOTT I thought we just might need and lets go have some fun, indeed we did. Driving the backroads out the east of Murrumbateman to see what we can find. Thanks so much for the many caches DARKSIDEDAN and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
Cacing on my way inland north from Vanberra. Not quite sure where to yet. TFTC.

I was out and about and came across this cache to find, today. I’m slowly finding the caches, east from home. At the moment, I’m mostly focusing on the caches between Binalong and the ACT border. Finding this cache certainly has certainly helped with this mission. As I am catching up with my logging, I’m not exactly sure how long it took to find or remember what type of cache it was but I certainly enjoyed finding it all the same. Also, I have back dated this log to the day I found it. When I signed the cache, **it was either signed as JM or JohnoMawbs**. This was due to the size or amount of space on the logsheet/book. TB visit. I would like to thank the CO of this cache for placing it and for allowing it to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTC!
Find No: 9076. Visiting from Newcastle, heading home from the Rutherglen Mega, enjoying the multitude of caches in the area, replaced logs and containers along the way, thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN!!
Long and boring drive home after two great days at the mega in Rutherglen. Would have loved to stay longer but work is calling Easter Sunday. Grabbed whatever I could on the way.

Teamed up with AngelG27 to hit some more caches around Yass to help get some numbers up After some caching and a cafe stop, we were joined by Seach4 to grab some more and those were signed as A.S.S to save time/space lol
Another quick find for us here.
Thanks for the hide, DARKSIDEDAN

Cache 9826 on 4 Mar 2023.
I am hoping to make the Rutherglen mega event cache number 10,000, so I have a fair few to get between now and then, 181 to be exact. So today SpecimenX and I headed out to Yass again to get some numbers. Happily, Search4 joined us while having some coffee and pastry at Clementine Bakery so we ended up with a mini posse of 3, signing ourselves as A.S.S. for the later caches, which are the initials of our caching names, not us being rude! Okay, maybe a little bit I managed to score 44 for the day before calling it quits. Still so many to find near Yass, I remember a distant past when I had found all the caches in Yass. Thanks to SpecimenX and Search4 for excellent company and cache finding!
Cache found easily and in line with any hints provided.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

A last hurrah for 2022 caching with The Rats today- into and then out of Canberra on some geotrails. A number of different caches were tackled on a hot day.

Took advantage of the public holiday to a bit caching with steeba as we tried to grab a few final caches before the end of 2202. Despite the heat we had a great day.

Found with my little sis, vivstar!
Decided to face the heat this afternoon and go for a quick loop drive picking up a few caches after a Christmas Eve lunch nearby!
Took my sister along this little trail, a back route back to Christmas Eve lunch festivities, rather than taking the highway for something different. I think she shared my feelings about powertrails and stayed in the car for every cache... don't blame her, the aircon was blasting!

#3258 Continuing on our adventures this morning. Oolong, Armours Road, Jerrawa and now along Long Rail Gully. Successful all the way along here before continuing home along Dog Trap Road. Thanks DSD for the lizards, snakes and one random sausage.
After a call asking if a wanted to get some caches, I drop everything and went out caching. TFTC
With the car at Mitchell again for an electrical change to be done, I was joined by Smitten Granny for a selection of caches on Long Rail Gully Road and then Dog Trap Road. We proceeded in to Yass for an early lunch before heading back to Mitchell to collect my car after the work apparently took ten minutes. Oh well. We had a great day, even if some of the dirt roads are in very poor condition after the excessive rains we have had.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

On our way home again with ilook4geo and caching as we went. Found quite a few and signed each log. All except one were in good condition and we were happy to add some more smileys to our caching map. No problems here with container or log. Thanks go to DARKSIDEDAN for placing this cache.
Out for a drive to clear my head. Thanks for a reason to get out and be distracted.
Found with Tankengine and Youban.
A bit of a wet day, but still ok to cache in. Tftc!!!

Out with Dty73 and Tankengine on a trip to Yass on a wet winters day. A walk through wet grass for the find Kutgw
A quick find on familiar backroads. This road really needs grading! Cache found all OK. Thanks
On a nice winters day with a cold breeze in the air me and IamCoust did a geocaching run around Yass and Murrambateman, driving on quiet unsealed roads picking up parts of the snake and lizard series which dot the landscape out here. Most caches were easy to find so it was mainly a numbers game which was both pleasing and tiring at the same time.
Some caches we considered very near peoples properties so it was a quick get in, get out before being spotted or interrogated. Overall a very enjoyable day. TFTC

An early start to a cool and windy day with Green-Martian tackling a few of the recently published caches out and around the Murrumbateman/Yass area. We targeted a mixture of finds, following a basic route weaving back and forth along the back country roads. Most finds came without issue but the odd one here and there presented a challenge in one way or another. In that regard, any interesting or specific details relating to the find are added to the end of log. Regardless, at the end of the day there were about 60 successful finds, 1 DNF and 1 other we were not well enough prepared to tackle.
As the morning went on the numbers grew, and so did the surrounding clouds. In the end, after a solid 6 hours of caching, as the rain began to fall, we called it quits for the day.
Thanks again GM for a great day out, and the CO’s for all their hard work and effort. TNLNSL TFTC

Thankfully, at minus 6 degees this morning, it was too cold for snakes - and lizards. A quick find and TFTC DSD
This cache was checked in the last few days by myself. The cache container and the logbook were in good order. The cache is ready to find. I hooe you all enjoy finding this cache.
A tour around Murrumbateman and Yass via the backroads to knock off a few caches. TFTC.
fitzy_1965 and I headed out for a bit of caching today. Love being on these backroads. A nice enough day, if a little chilly.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

28,269. Found with minniek during a fun caching run today.
Another day that I needed a few caches for a calendar challenge, so out we headed today for this string of caches relatively close to home (in caching terms anyway!!). We are certainly learning all the back roads out near Yass and the region chasing down all these animal caches - plus its nice to see a mixture of types as well. In all we collected a zoo of Snakes and Lizards this time to add to our previous collections. This cache was a fun find and retrieval. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks DSD !!

Heading out along the Longrail Gully road for a couple of snakes and lizards. This was another one.

A quick find on a beautiful day! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN!
**Our Day**
A spur of the moment decision late morning and I was off with my caching colleague driving just north of the ACT to pick up a handful of traditional caches. It was an enjoyable road trip and we had lots of fun working together finding all but two caches. Of those two caches one was 9m up a tree, measured with my pole AND on private property so we were never going to get close either way. The other cache was one for which we searched for 40m and couldn’t find even with a PAF. Just too clever for us today.
Many thx to ALL7 for her great sense of humour, caching skills with no hesitation to climb trees, find innovative solutions to extract tricky caches and her ability to find all those caches that were not quite on GZ.

#14476 - 9:58:00 AM; Another run to the southern outskirts of Yass with Sol de lune for some more in the Lizards/Snakes/Frogs series, along with a few other caches to top up our daily finds. Unless indicated in the log, all caches were found in good order and logs signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Surprised how many we were second or third to find! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Another run with LuckyL10n out around Yass and this was our next stop. No issue and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed.
Thanks for another one in the series DSD.....

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* !
I knew this road from the other day and so it was with confidence that I came here the short way.
I had missed the FTF hunt for some the new caches to the north last night as I was busy working. But when more had come out today and some further away were still left I decided to make the reasonably short trip to Murrumbateman and knowing that I probably would keep on going from there, as it would be 'just another short trip further'. The weather held off and it was easy driving, all caches where found quickly and most where easy to retrieve. Some large containers in the mix and some new roads traveled. Overall a few successful hours this arvo to achieve 14 FTFs.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
