In Yass for a couple of days, before heading north. TFTC

Today was the day I was aiming to achieve three things 1000 caches in 2024, 7000 caches all up and 200 caches in a day (my previous record was 121). Easily achieved all three in 13 hours between 06:00 and 19:00. Was a glorious spring day on the back roads around Yass. Most logs signed TE5 30/9 to save time.This was my 200th for the day. Just under 13 hours of travelling around Yass. Saw an echidna, a few kangaroos, got swooped by a magpie, saw plenty of sheep and lots of wind turbines. Was glorious weather and had surprisingly few DNFs. A few need a bit of maintenance but most are quickly found. I scaled the ladder more often than I expected but was a great day. DARKSIDEDAN provided the majority of caches so thanks for the effort to placing them. A quick find here.TFTC

Reperio 08:12Day 6 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I today travelled from just outside of the ACT to home in Orange. With a number of caches left to do around Murrumbateman and Yass, we stopped by a few in this area before taking an extended route back home to Orange. Another massive day with the WA Crew signing WAC. If we arent up trees, we are wading through water or hiking mountains. We are grateful for locals who have shared their TOTT with us. Since we all flew to get to Canberra, it wasnt possible to bring the tools necessary for the high terrain caches. For some of the day we cached with an awesome group signing DG as deaf group; truly a generous and welcoming group. Find # 10678Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours/day of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than decrease Looking at my stats I have a personal goal to meet before year end and its not an altogether small one. BUT when Im on a mission anything could happen. So with this in mind I put the offer of a day caching out to my friend barb2e, and what do you know, shes been going stir crazy it seems and needs to get out. Oooeeeee! Loaded the geomobile with every TOTT I thought we just might need and lets go have some fun, indeed we did. Driving the backroads out the east of Murrumbateman to see what we can find.Thanks so much for the many caches DARKSIDEDAN and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

Cache was checked today as part of my continuing efforts to make sure that all my caches are maintained in good condition. I am happy to report that the cache was in in excellent condition.

Leaving Yass this afternoon I still had plenty of light and time left, so decided to take the back-road detour down some dirt roads and pick-up the rest of the unfound caches out here!

All of these caches were in excellent condition and were found with ease, the coordinates were perfect on every occasion as well! It was quite a pleasant drive, extremely quiet and barely saw a single muggle the entire way!

I was out and about and came across this cache to find, today. I’m slowly finding the caches, east from home. At the moment, I’m mostly focusing on the caches between Binalong and the ACT border. Finding this cache certainly has certainly helped with this mission. As I am catching up with my logging, I’m not exactly sure how long it took to find or remember what type of cache it was but I certainly enjoyed finding it all the same. Also, I have back dated this log to the day I found it. When I signed the cache, it was either signed as JM or JohnoMawbs. This was due to the size or amount of space on the logsheet/book. TB visit. I would like to thank the CO of this cache for placing it and for allowing it to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTC!

Long and boring drive home after two great days at the mega in Rutherglen. Would have loved to stay longer but work is calling Easter Sunday. Grabbed whatever I could on the way.

Cache 9830 on 4 Mar 2023.

I am hoping to make the Rutherglen mega event cache number 10,000, so I have a fair few to get between now and then, 181 to be exact. So today SpecimenX and I headed out to Yass again to get some numbers. Happily, Search4 joined us while having some coffee and pastry at Clementine Bakery so we ended up with a mini posse of 3, signing ourselves as A.S.S. for the later caches, which are the initials of our caching names, not us being rude! Okay, maybe a little bit I managed to score 44 for the day before calling it quits. Still so many to find near Yass, I remember a distant past when I had found all the caches in Yass. Thanks to SpecimenX and Search4 for excellent company and cache finding!

After work finished at 830 am. decided to spend the day around Yass and Murrumbateman for a few caches. TFTC.

Out and about with FFLL#1 and ALL7 to pick up some countryside caches. Was nice weather today and we managed to get our names in all the caches we attempted. There were a couple we didnt attempt due to their placements but thats all good. Logs signed as FAR (FurfacesLL, ALL7 and Rapidlywild) for those which we all needed, otherwise it was individual names.

No issues with this one, signed and replaced as found.

Last minute change of plans meant Saturday was now free. So plans were made with ALL7 and Rapidlywild to go and collect a few caches that had popped up on the map. Actually there are heaps to do but getting the time to do them is rare.
Weather was ideal for caching which made for a pleasant day out in the countryside.
All caches we attempted we found including a couple we could see but valued life a little more to attempt. So no DNF's for us today which was nice. All caches that were found were signed with either FAR (FurfacesLL, ALL7 Rapidlywild) or individual names.

A last hurrah for 2022 caching with The Rats today- into and then out of Canberra on some geotrails. A number of different caches were tackled on a hot day.

I picked minniek up from work early after a work Christmas Party, and with some time up our sleeves before needing to be back in Goulburn for our events this evening, we headed up this way for a number of caches. This was the first find along a now familiar road. Today was a bit more challenging than normal as there were a lot of 'locals' hanging out along a section of this road. A quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed on to the next one on our list.

With the car at Mitchell again for an electrical change to be done, I was joined by Smitten Granny for a selection of caches on Long Rail Gully Road and then Dog Trap Road. We proceeded in to Yass for an early lunch before heading back to Mitchell to collect my car after the work apparently took ten minutes. Oh well. We had a great day, even if some of the dirt roads are in very poor condition after the excessive rains we have had.

It was the morning of day 4 of my trip around Yass with cyberganv.
The weather was on the improve but it was still cold.
Back to Dog Trap rd for a resumption of caches. We found trads, letterboxes before heading into murumbateman for lunch.
No problems here.

While heading back out of Yass with goingplaces2 this was one of the caches we found. All was in good order. TFTC.

Completed a bit of a circuit between Murrumbateman and Yass, mainly on roads less travelled. All attempted were found and generally in good condition. But the potholes on some of the roads were something to behold! Thankfully, full of water this morning, so easier to spot and avoid the worst of them. Thanks DSD for this massive effort in placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

I was on the way out to do maintenance today on this cache. But it seems that Pacmania replaced the cache for me the day before.

A huge thank you to Pacmania. I owe you two bisons.

Pretty obvious where the cache should be as the ring is still there. I had a spare, so I replaced it. Hope that is OK - sorry I only had a blue one.

On a nice winters day with a cold breeze in the air me and IamCoust did a geocaching run around Yass and Murrambateman, driving on quiet unsealed roads picking up parts of the snake and lizard series which dot the landscape out here. Most caches were easy to find so it was mainly a numbers game which was both pleasing and tiring at the same time.
Some caches we considered very near peoples properties so it was a quick get in, get out before being spotted or interrogated. Overall a very enjoyable day. TFTC

Unfortunately this cache looks to be missing. We found a key ring in a logical position at the given coordinates which most probably secured the cache.

This cache required some CO McLovin.

Found the ring on the post where it is probably meant to be, searched grass but no bison found.

Just the ring found. Maybe next time !

Saw what looks like the remains of a cache at the GZ. I moved on.

Heading out along the Longrail Gully road for a couple of snakes and lizards. This one we could not find. We could see remnants of what probably has been the cache, but suggest the CO to have a look and possibly replace the cache.

Seems cache has been repaired by another geocacher as people are now finding it again

#14471 - 9:44:00 AM; Another run to the southern outskirts of Yass with Sol de lune for some more in the Lizards/Snakes/Frogs series, along with a few other caches to top up our daily finds. Unless indicated in the log, all caches were found in good order and logs signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Surprised how many we were second or third to find! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

Another run with LuckyL10n out around Yass and this was our next stop. No issue and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed.
